First Appearance: New Mutants II#2 (August, 2003)

Powers/Abilities: Anole has multiple reptilian traits, including a spiked carapace on his head; a long, sticky, prehensile forked tongue (extending over five feet) he can control with great accuracy, using it to catch Frisbees and basketballs during sporting events, and restrain the hand of a gun-toting gang member; pads on his hands and feet that allow him to cling to solid surfaces; and apparently retractable sharp fingernails and toenails. He can also change the color of his skin to match the pattern of almost any surface and environment, oftentimes this occurs as an unconscious reflex when he feels threatened. After regenerating his severed right arm, Anole gained enhanced strength, but only in that arm; it has been postulated Anole can regenerate any limb, and they will be similarly superhumanly strong. He is highly athletic and agile, often moving similar to a gymnast in battle, and has some hand-to-hand combat training. Anole sometimes wears a bulletproof Xavier Institute uniform, and a fake mustache with a hooded cloak.

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 160 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: None; formerly Black

History:
(Extraordinary X-Men#6 (fb) - BTS) - Growing up Victor Borkowski always knew he was gay, something he was very comfortable with. But when Victor manifested his mutant nature, growing lizard skin it freaked him.

(X-Men: The 198 Files - BTS) - Victor Borkowski was raised in small-town America where he lived a normal life despite his reptilian features. The close-knit community accepted the boy for who he was.

(X-Men: Divided We Stand#1/3) - As a young boy Victor would play in his tree house, pretending it was the famous X-Mansion where he was an X-Man.

(X-Men: The 198 Files - BTS) - When the growing world anti-mutant sentiment reached Fairbury Anole and his family were affected as well. For his own safety, his parents sent him to the Xavier Institute.

(New Mutants II#2 - BTS) - After Victor's mutant powers manifested themselves he enrolled at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

(New Mutants II#2) - Victor joined Cessily Kincaid (Mercury), Julian Keller (Hellion) and several other students for lunch at Xavier's when new arrival Sofia Mantega asked if she could sit at their table. Julian had already given Sofia a tour of the school and was happy to see the beautiful girl again. After she sat down Sofia revealed she had the mutant ability to control wind which she then displayed by allowing Victor and the others to overhear Professor X talking to Danielle Moonstar who he was offering a job.

(New Mutants II#4) - Victor was seen walking through the school's hallways when Sofia Mantega noticed Laurie Collins took a liking to Kevin Ford.

(New Mutants II#7 (fb) - BTS) - When Professor Xavier let all of the students pick advisors, Victor chose Wolverine. Victor, however, soon realized they weren't all that compatible and contemplated who of the teachers would make for a better match.

(New Mutants II#7) - During a regular schoolday Victor was seen during his American History class by Danielle Moonstar and Karma's French class alongside Laurie Collins. When the students went out for lunch Victor joined his friends Cessily, Julian, Josh Foley (Elixir) and Santo Vaccarro (Rockslide) on the school's front lawn. To shock his friends Julian revealed Ms. Grey had given him detention for using his telekinesis to try and unbutton her blouse. Later that day Victor sought out Karma and explained he wasn't too pleased with Wolverine as his personal advisor. Karma, quickly realizing Victor was asking her to become his new advisor, thus becoming Karma's first advisee. Karma then went off to see her comatose friend Magma. The next day, Victor was most likely present at a special assembly where the Institute's headmaster Charles Xavier informed the student body about last night's explosion (caused by Magma who awoke from a coma due to Josh and Julian's intervention), Xavier preached there was more to becoming a hero than mere bravery.

(New Mutants II#8) - Victor, Santo, Josh and Julian were playing a game of frisbee on the school grounds. During their game Josh and Julian complained they got detention for the Magma-situation, something which they deemed ridiculous as they woke Magma from her coma. Victor, however, was quick to note there was a big explosion after all. When Hellion threw the frisbee Victor's way he was quick to use his elongated tongue to catch it after which he threw it to Josh, who was less than happy to hold the object covered in drool. But when the rock-like Santo finally got his hands on the frisbee he threw it so far away the students got near the school's gate where they saw what appeared to be a homeless girl (Noriko Ashida/Surge). After scaring the girl away Northstar arrived to remind the boys to help them with the preparations for the school's Parents Week.

The next day Victor was ecstatic his parents came to see him during Parents Week and introduced them to his advisor, Karma. Karma assured the Borkowski's Victor was one of her favorite students and promised to sit down with them later to discuss Victor's situation.

The next morning Victor was present when Julian got into a fight with Josh after learning he'd been affiliated with Donald Pierce and the Reavers. The fight was eventually halted by Karma who used her mutant abilities to send the boys to their rooms.

(New Mutants II#13) - After Xorn, posing as Magneto, had destroyed Xavier's (as seen in New X-Men I#146) all students, including Anole had been relocated to a safehouse in Salem Center. In the midst of the students and their sleeping bags Anole was talking with Mercury, Hellion and Rockslide.

(New X-Men II#2) - Anole was present during a special ceremony at which headmasters Scott Summers and Emma Frost revealed every student would receive advanced combat training. They would be split up into squads, each mentored by one of the X-Men. Summers then introduced the already formed squads like his Corsairs, Emma's Hellions and the New Mutants who were mentored by Danielle Moonstar.

(New X-Men II#4 (fb) - BTS) - Victor was selected to join one of the special training squads mentored by various members of the X-Men. Victor, alongside Indra, Kidogo, Loa, Rubbermaid and Network were placed on Alpha Squadron, led by Northstar. Victor also received the codename Anole, after the species of chameleon.

(New X-Men II#4 - BTS) - Alpha Squadron participated in their first field day assignment against the Institute's other squads: the New Mutants, Hellions, Corsairs, Excelsiors and the Exemplars.

(New X-Men II#4) - After their field day assignment Anole and Elixir played a game of basketball while talking about their new advisors. Anole noted he thought Northstar was okay and thought his new Alpha Squadron was gonna be a cool training squad. Elixir advised Anole to make sure they at least got themselves a good field leader, since loosing this assignment. Later that day Anole informed headmaster Scott Summers about the sudden arrival of FBI agent Justin Pierce. Pierce had come to issue a warrant for Kevin Ford's arrest for the murder of his father.

(New X-Men II#5) - Anole was seen in the school's cafetaria when the entire school was gossiping about Kevin Ford, having learned he might have to go to jail. Having had enough of the situation Hellion decided to speak up on behalf of Ford.

(X-Men II#165) - Icarus (Joshua Guthrie) and Anole were present during the X-Men's Christmas festivities, dancing to Lila Cheney's performance.

(New X-Men II#7) - Anole was waiting in call for his teacher Nightcrawler to arrive when Prodigy (David Alleyne) had his little sister Kim Alleyne visit the school. David's younger sister thought their drama class was lame until their teacher teleported in a cloud of brimstone smoke.

(X-Men: The 198 Files - BTS) - Anole struggled with his sexuality, forming a close bond with the openly gay Northstar.

(New X-Men II#13) - Network and Anole ducked for cover as Wolverine (mind controlled by the Hand at the time) crashed one of the Blackbirds on the Xavier Institute's front lawn. Even though the X-Men and Avengers tried to deal with him, the feral Wolverine eventually managed to kill Northstar. The following morning, all students were informed of the tragic news by headmasters Cyclops and Emma Frost. A little while later, Anole was present when Alpha Squadron was taken on by Xi'an Coy Manh (Karma) who introduced herself as the group's new advisor. Unable to process all that had happened Anole said it just wasn't the same and ran out. Realizing what Northstar had meant for the boy Karma followed the boy, searching for him on the school grounds until she knew he was using his camouflaging abilities to disappear into a tree. Explaining she'd just come to talk Anole dropped his camouflage and sat down with Karma. When the two sat down Anole revealed how much his mentor had meant for him, Karma told the boy he could about everything to her as well. Sometime later, before Northstar's funeral, Anole and the other Alpha Squadron members were allowed to view their mentor's memorial statue before its official unveiling, which they also attended.

(Uncanny X-Men I#460) - Anole and several students were having lunch when Psylocke and Rachel Summers had a discussion about Rachel's bond with Kitty Pryde.

(New X-Men II#14) - Anole and the Alpha Squadron joined the Paragons squad for a joint training session with Karma. Both groups squabbled over the fact that the Paragons had been eliminated from field day and their mentor Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane) had disappeared after she was caught having an affair with a student. Later, Anole and his friends most likely attended the school dance.

(New X-Men Yearbook Special - BTS) - Anole became Alpha Squadron's leader.

(New X-Men Yearbook Special) - Alongside his fellow Alpha Squadron members and their advisor Karma, Anole posed for a group photo for the Xavier yearbook. In the yearbook, Anole was voted "best actor". He liked frisbee, theater and basketball and disliked traditions and bad action movies.

(House of M#8 - BTS) - When millions of homo superior lost their powers when a reality altering spell cast by the Scarlet Witch reduced the number of gene active mutants to a mere 300 worldwide, Anole was one of the select who kept his mutant powers.

(New X-Men II#20) - When the students at Xavier's awoke the morning after M-Day, chaos erupted when they realized only a handful of them still had mutant powers. While some celebrated their depowerement, others panicked. Anole was seen in the middle of all the chaos.

(New X-Men II#21) - Anole and several other x-gene active students were watching television and discussing the recent global depowering. They witnessed news reports from all over the world, as well as an interview with former X-Men foe Reverend William Stryker who explained the event as a sign from God. He went on to say that it was now up to humanity to take the next step. Then, Wolverine came in to introduce the students to X-23, a genetic clone created from his DNA.

(Astonishing X-Men III#13) - Anole was selected alongside Indra, Wolf Cub, Match, Pixie, Armor and four of the New X-Men to participate in another Danger Room session with Wolverine. But when Match noticed the Danger Room now just was a normal room (since it's conscience had mutated, escaped and fought the X-Men as Danger) Wolverine quickly turned off the lights. In the pitch black Wolverine fought the students and easily defeated them and testing Hisako's armor in the process.

(New X-Men II#23) - Two weeks after the global depowering, Xavier Institute headmaster Emma Frost pitted all remaining students against each other in a battle royale to choose a team who would go on to train as New X-Men. Anole took on Match in the battle royale. After Emma chose her six "winners" and Cyclops had added a surprise seventh, the headmasters announced all depowered students would be sent home. A first busload of students had already left when a second, carrying another 42 former mutant teens, was blown up. The attack was carried out by the Purifiers who were acting on the orders from their leader, the Reverend William Stryker.

(New X-Men II#24) - Anole was present during the funeral of the students killed by the Purifiers who were acting on the orders from their leader, the Reverend William Stryker. Even in death fourteen of the forty-two deceased students were unwelcome to return home and were buried at Xavier's cemetery.

(X-Men: The 198 Files) - General Demetrius Lazer of O*N*E made a threat assessment of the remaining mutants. In this report, he also analyzed Anole and considered him a low threat.

(New X-Men II#25) - Anole, Match, Indra, Pixie and Armor waited outside the Danger Room until they could start another training session when New X-Man Rockslide suddenly crashed through one of the walls. Match and the others quickly took a peek through the hole in the wall and witnessed how Emma Frost was training the New X-Men. The New X-Men in turn failed to work as a team to defeat X-Man Colossus, much to Frost's disapproval.

(New X-Men II#27) - Sometime later the Purifiers managed to infiltrate the Xavier Institute in the hopes of killing all remaining mutants. During their all out attack, Emma Frost telepathically warned all students to remain in their rooms. When Quill decided to sneak a peek in the hallway following some gunshots, he saw Pixie and Anole leaving their quarters. Before he could join them, he was spotted by one of the Purifiers who shot him. After the New X-Men managed to defeat William Stryker the corpse of Quill was found and taken in by the agents of O*N*E.

(New X-Men II#29) - Determined to save Forge from the time traveling mutant-hunting sentinel, Nimrod the New X-Men planned to sneak out of the Institute in the middle of the night. To cover their tracks Mercury woke up Anole asking him to cover for them as she knew the O*N*E would surely come looking for them.

(New X-Men II#30) - Anole was pulled out of bed as expected by the O*N*E after which he was interrogated by Valerie Cooper and Colonel Reyes about the whereabouts of the New X-Men. To throw them off Anole answered the group could be with No-Girl or even in the Danger Cave. Cooper, easily saw through the boy's lies and kept on hammering at him, Anole, however continued his rambling noting his friends could in fact be in Asgard or kidnapped by Mojo.

(New X-Men II#32) - Thinking Foley to be gone Rockslide was already scouting for a new member for his team, the overly eager rock-like mutant asked Match and Anole if either of them had already died and come back to life. The puzzled teenagers listened while Rockslide went on thinking Anole got stealth what use would it he be in a fight against someone like Nimrod. Later that night Anole was present amongst other students, the X-Men and their allies during a memorial service to remember all those who had fallen in the X-Men's long struggle in achieving Xavier's dream of co-existence.

(X-Men II#190) - Hearing a lot of noise coming from within Xavier's Anole set out to investigate, unaware the mansion was under attack by the Children of the Vault. The highly evolved beings had also recruited and brainwashed the resurrected Northstar and his sister Aurora to make them do their bidding. Anole stumbled upon his former teacher whom he thought to be dead just when Northstar was about to break into the X-Men's prison cells to murder Sabretooth. Surprised to see Northstar, Anole questioned if his death was part of a secret plan, for a moment Northstar could see through Serafina's manipulations and warned Anole to leave while he could after which he kicked the boy in the face, rendering him unconscious. Northstar was eventually stopped by Rogue and Cable.

(X-Men II#192) - While crossing the mansion's sublevels Anole, Rockslide and Mercury came across the scantily dressed Lady Mastermind who'd just recovered from her coma. Anole quickly covered his eyes to avoid seeing any nudity while Beast walked by, surprised to see she'd awoken he took her to his lab.

(X-Men II#193) - Anole stood outside the mansion where he and the X-Men witnessed the arrival of the Conquistador, the flying ship of the Children of the Vault. Anole stood by silent as students Pixie and Hellion eagerly offered their help but once the villains attacked Anole and the students most likely sought a safe place to hide.

(New X-Men II#34) - At the school Loa, Anole and Rockslide watched a news report about the Young Avengers. Rockslide was determined to get a scrap against these Avengers when Hellion came into the room asking about Mercury. Loa revealed she saw her with X-23 thinking they'd left for coffee in the town unaware they were kidnapped by the Facility and X-23's former handler Kimura. When Hellion went off to find her Anole wondered if Rockslide could beat Hulkling in a fight.

(New X-Men II#35) - Anole checked in on his friend Elixir to find his entire dorm room filled to the brim with medical books. Elixir explained he'd asked Beast for help in an effort to learn all things medical to better help him use his mutant abilities. Anole noted he'd better asked the Stepford Cuckoos to simply dump all the information into his head as the X-Men themselves cheated the same way.

(X-Men II#201) - Anole and several students were watching an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" in one of the school's rec-rooms when Blindfold came wandering in. Blindfold addressed Elixir in her usual cryptic way talking about someone who knew their minds and meant them harm. Sensing something was wrong the students gathered around Blindfold as she took hold of both of Elixir's hands while noting that what intervenes was gold. Just as Blindfold took hold of Elixir his powers reacted to her touch rendering Blindfold into a dead-like state. Shocked by the strange turn of events Anole and the students gathered around the lifeless Blindfold while Hellion ordered Pixie to go and find Kitty Pryde. The students, however, were unaware Mr. Sinister had sent his expanded team of Marauders to go and kill all psychics, precogs and time travelers as he'd learned a new mutant would be born in the near future. Something which he didn't want anyone else to find out.

(X-Men II#202) - Still watching over Blindfold the students failed to realize time was in fact stopped, courtesy of Tempo one of the new Marauders. Part of a small strike team under leadership of Exodus the Marauders searched the school for Blindfold. But upon finding the girl they quickly realized she had died, meanwhile Marauders Frenzy and Random had searched the mansion for the Destiny Diaries. The diaries, however, only had blank pages, determined to get hold of the real diaries Exodus determined the time had come that blood had to be spilled and commanded Tempo to slow them down to normal time. Anole and the students were shocked to see they were suddenly surrounded by the group of superhuman villains when a second before there were none! Quickly joined by X-Men Kitty Pryde and Colossus the students teamed-up to fight the villains, during this fight Anole took on Random but was quickly defeated. Mere moments later Exodus used his ability to render all present unconscious so he could focus his attention on Pryde. Learning she was unaware the diaries were forgeries as Emma Frost had tampered with her mind Exodus and the Marauders took off.

(New X-Men II#37) - Anole, Match, Wolf Cub, Loa, Pixie, Nezhno and Blindfold had gathered around the fireplace while Rockslide was telling stories about the X-Men's recent victories. But when it was Blindfold's turn she told the story of Illyana Rasputin and the demon-lord Belasco. When Blindfold finished her tale, the students realized that her "story" was real and Belasco was coming for them as the floor opened up beneath them. Belasco had sensed his former apprentice Illyana Rasputin was alive again and took them prisoner as a first step to retrieve her.

(New X-Men II#38) - While all other students had been captured by Belasco and S'ym, Anole and his group found themselves in the wastelands of Limbo. After realizing where they were in the hellish place the demons appeared to devour the teenage mutants. Anole used his abilities to cling onto one of the demons hoping to hide himself using his camouflage while warning the others to protect the blind Blindfold. But things seemed to go bad when Rockslide suddenly exploded while trying to shoot off his fist, shocked by the event Anole tried to take leadership of the group commanding the others to regroup at Blindfold's position. Anole, however, failed to realize another demon was approaching him from behind and used his razor-sharp tentacles to cut off Anole's arm. The demon in turn was beheaded by the newly arrived Illyana Rasputin, the Darkchilde with her pet N'astirh.

(New X-Men II#39) - Loa looked after Anole while the Darkchilde toyed around with their friends for a bit until she offered to help the group find their friends if any of them would offer his soul to her. Revealing she would need a soulsword to defeat the demon-king as she finally focused her attention on the young Pixie. Match and Wolf Cub prepared to attack the Darkchilde but with one snap of her fingers all students but Pixie were encased in stone. Pixie then offered her soul to Magik.

(New X-Men II#40) - Anole witnessed Magik using her sorcerous abilities to steal Pixie's soul. Although all of the students were unable to move in the stone Blindfold told Anole he was the one that would save her and had in fact the strength within him. Unable to hear his friend scream in agony any longer Anole gathered all the strength he had and managed to break free, interrupting Magik's ritual. In fact because of Anole's reptilian nature he'd regrown his right arm, now covered in spikes and with enhanced muscle mass that granted that arm enhanced strength. Furious, Magik was ready to kill him, but a newly regenerated Rockslide arrived to save the day in his new Limbo lava-rockform which made him immune to her powers. Rockslide beat the sadistic sorceress senseless until part of her Illyana-persona resurfaced. Now more rational than before Magik joined the students in their attempt to defeat Belasco and free their classmates.

(New X-Men II#41) - Illyana Rasputin and the students arrived in Belasco's domain where a massive battle had already been on it's way between Belasco and the New X-Men. With their added help Belasco was defeated and Magik reclaimed her control over Limbo, sending all the students home.

(World War Hulk: X-Men#1) - Anole, Nezhno and several other students were guided to safety by Charles Xavier when they learned the Hulk was on his way to attack the Xavier Institute.

(World War Hulk: X-Men#2) - Anole and several other students watched from a distance how the X-Men battled the Hulk, freshly returned from an exile in space he partly blamed on Xavier. Indra wondered how they could possibly help but the Stepford Cuckoos knew what to do and used their telepathic abilities to contact every empowered X-Men ally to assist them in their fight against the Hulk.

(New X-Men II#42) - While most of the students were still recovering from their "adventure" in Limbo, Anole joined X-23 and Rockslide who was still in his lava-form for a game of pool. Realizing Anole would regenerate any missing limb with a much stronger part Rockslide and X-23 tried their best to persuade Anole to cut off some more limbs, Anole told them to back off. Just then Mercury arrived to ask them about their age as the students put together a list to determine who was the youngest mutant on Earth, excluding Franklin Richards, Molly Hayes and Tito, son of Angel and Beak. While they were busy, Anole joined Rockslide as Colossus and Beast examined his current lava-form. Anole helped his teacher by pushing Rockslide to make himself explode after which he pulled himself together with new rock, instantly giving him a new look. Later that night Anole and Rockslide joined the other students as Indra declared Wolf Club had to be the youngest mutant on Earth, which freaked him out because he figured that probably meant he was next to die at the hands of some X-Men villain. However, Mercury spotted that Indra had forgotten to include himself on the list, concluding that he was actually the youngest mutant at Xavier's prompting Rockslide to comment he was gonna die.

(New X-Men II#43) - Fellow student Indra learned he was the youngest mutant on school campus. Scared it would make him a target the students vowed to keep him save. Unable to sleep Anole joined the group of students around Match who used his powers to make an indoor campfire unexpectedly it was Rockslide who managed to ground the students by explaining it wouldn't matter if they were the oldest or youngest mutant on the world as he would still go to war for them. Next, Beast arrived to give out new bulletproof uniforms. The following day it was decided Anole and Pixie would join the New X-Men's official team roster alongside Rockslide, Mercury, Dust, Hellion, Elixir, X-23 and team leader Surge.

(Astonishing X-Men III#18) - Anole, Match, Blindfold and possibly Hellion witnessed how S.W.O.R.D.'s flagship took off after they'd teleported the X-Men and their opponents Danger and Ord of Breakworld aboard.

(Giant Size Astonishing X-Men III#1) - Anole and several other students were present at the S.W.O.R.D. headquarters when Earth's heroes tried to save Earth from the giant space bullet originating from Breakworld.

(X-Men: Messiah Complex#1) - Anole, Rockslide and other students attended a class by Emma Frost when she fell victim to a psychic backlash when the first mutant baby was born since the Scarlet Witch's reality altering spell.

(New X-Men II#44) - Surge, team-leader of the New X-Men learned that not only the Marauders had been present in Alaska looking for the new mutant baby but also the Purifiers, something which Cyclops had kept a secret. Enraged the X-Men's leader would keep them in the dark about the villains who'd killed forty-five of their friends Surge confronted Anole and the other New X-Men with the news, asking them to join her to find them to kill them. Anole decided to join but only for the baby, just then Armor arrived, asking if she could tag along.

(New X-Men II#44 (fb) - BTS) - In their search Surge, Anole, X-23, Pixie, Mercury, Hellion, Rockslide and Armor visited about seven different churches without any luck.

(New X-Men II#44) - Much later that night the New X-Men located the Purifiers in a Washington, D.C. church. Right before going into their base Surge discussed the group tactics and ordered Anole to go and find what he could about the baby once they could get in. While the group took care of the church's guards Anole used his camouflaging ability to infiltrate the church, successfully locating the computers. Hacking into the system Anole realized the Purifiers didn't have the baby after which he was assaulted from behind by none other than X-Factor's Rictor. Rictor had gone undercover in the Purifiers, seeing Anole he knew they had much larger problems afraid the New X-Men would blow his cover. Just as the New X-Men fought the Purifiers they were in for a shocker when Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers arrived. Lady Deathstrike immediately plunged her razor-sharp claws through Hellion's chest.

(X-Men II#205) - Anole and Rictor joined the New X-Men during their fight against Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers. Anole, however, was quickly entangled by one of the Reavers who used metal coils not unlike Doctor Octopus. Although incapable of fighting Anole managed to get Pixie to focus herself so she could teleport them away. Successfully teleported into the city Anole was accidentally thrown into the city's fountain. Just then Emma Frost picked up the students' distress call, sensing they were in danger.

(Uncanny X-Men I#493) - Anole was back at the school when the giant Sentinels charged with protecting the Xavier Institute malfunctioned. While Gentle, Cyclops, Bishop and Hepzibah defeated the Sentinels as quickly as possible Anole protected several students. The X-Men eventually defeated the Sentinels but not before the Xavier Institute was destroyed.

(New X-Men II#46) - Deemed unfit to fight in the ongoing war Wolf Cub, Indra and Trance thought to be safe in the ruins of the Xavier Institute. However, the mutant hunting Predator X had made his way to the school and attacked them. Right before Predator X could bite Indra's head off, he was saved by Surge who ordered them to get to safety. Surge was in turn rescued by Anole who hit the beast with his enlarged arm after which the entire New X-Men squad appeared. The battle however, quickly reached the medical bay where several other injured X-Men and students had gathered. Nightcrawler did his best to teleport the injured out of harm's way but when he seemed unable to teleport everybody Pixie quickly used one of her teleportation spells. However, the untrained Pixie had accidentally teleported all of the students (including Anole) and the Predator X right to Muir Island where the X-Men had been fighting the Marauders. Surprised by their sudden teleportation the Predator X immediately grabbed the first mutant he saw and bit Vertigo of the Marauders in half.

(X-Men II#207) - Cyclops decided to use this to their advantage and ordered Frost to tell the New X-Men to target the Marauders. He figured that the Marauders were intimately familiar with the X-Men, but had no experience fighting the students. His gambit paid off as one by one the Marauders were knocked down by the combined powers of the student body and the guidance of Emma Frost, during the fight Anole fought Unuscione and even defeated Random. This left the X-Men to deal with Predator X. With the Marauders defeated and Predator X dead, the X-Men decided to hand the baby to Cable so he could keep her safe in the distant future.

(X-Men: Divided We Stand#1/2 - BTS) - While in Wakanda Gentle (Nezhno Abidemi) thought of how Anole and the other X-Students truly accepted him for what he was.

X-Men: Divided We Stand#1/3 (fb)) - With Xavier's closed, Anole was sent home to Fairbury where the "townsfolk" as he described the locals, were overjoyed to see him. His cockiness about having studied with the "big bad X-Men" soon vanished however when he returned to his old school and realized how far behind he was in his actual, academic studies compared to his peers. At home, his parents soon started treating him as if he'd never went away to Xavier's in the first place.

(X-Men: Divided We Stand#1/3 (fb)) - Three months after his return to Fairbury, Anole was at home doing homework at the kitchen table. When his father accidentally dropped his coffee, the sound of the breaking cup caused him to instinctively jump up and attack. His mom intervened before Anole could seriously injure his dad, but he still profusely apologized for the incident.

(X-Men: Divided We Stand#1/3 (fb)) - Realizing he was suffering from post traumatic stress, Anole decided to go up to his childhood treehouse to think about what happened.

(X-Men: Divided We Stand#1/3) - Anole was visited at his treehouse by Northstar who had been sent by Cyclops to find him after he had failed to check in for the past three months, leaving his friends Pixie and Rockslide worried. Anole sarcastically greeted his old mentor, wondering if he'd come to break his ribs, referencing their previous encounter in which Northstar kicked him in the face. Northstar explained the reason for that attack (he was mind controlled) before telling the reason for his visit. This led to Anole recounting what had happened with his parents, blaming the X-Men for his PTSD. After all, he and his fellow students at Xavier's were supposed to be kids: learning, playing video games, going on dates, not fighting actual devils like Belasco. Feeling he didn't belong anymore, Anole was about to leave his home but before he did he smashed his elbow into Northstar's face, most likely breaking his nose as payback. Anole then left, telling Northstar he was done with all of them.

(Young X-Men I#1 / Young X-Men I#6 - BTS) - The villainous cyborg Donald Pierce had posed as Cyclops to form a team of X-Men of his own. His Young X-Men contained former X-Men students Blindfold, Dust, Rockslide, Wolf Cub, along with a new "mutant" Ink. Pierce planned to use these mutants to assasinate other mutants like the former members of the New Mutants. But after Pierce's true identity was discovered and Wolf Cub was killed by the villain the real Cyclops decided to keep the Young X-Men together and chose Danielle Moonstar and Sunspot to lead them. With a little help from Nightcrawler they located the Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill as the Young X-Men's base.

(Young X-Men I#6) - Danielle Moonstar reached out to Anole whom she wanted to ask to join the Young X-Men. While the two sat in her office Anole used his mutant camouflage abilities to make himself almost invisible, making it seem as if Moonstar was talking to herself. During their conversation Moonstar told Anole what had transpired after they'd imprisoned Donald Pierce. In the end Anole accepted her offer to join the Young X-Men alongside Dust, Rockslide, Ink, Graymalkin (an ancestor of Charles Xavier) and the undetectable Cipher (Alisa Tiger) of whom only Cyclops and Graymalkin knew she was part of the team.

(Young X-Men I#6 - BTS) - The Young X-Men moved to San Francisco where they were housed in the Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill which would pose as their base.

(X-Men: Manifest Destiny I#3/2) - Anole and Graymalkin took some time to get to know each other whilst sitting near the Golden Gate Bridge. Graymalkin confided in Anole and told him his origin story.

(Hulk Team-Up I#1) - Anole, Graymalkin, Armor and other students where present when the X-Men discussed multiple reports of a powerful mutant rampaging through the bay area. The "mutant" was in fact the Hulk (Dr. Bruce Banner).

(Secret Invasion: X-Men I#1 - BTS / Secret Invasion: X-Men I#3 (fb) - BTS) - Anole and Graymalkin left the Grace Cathedral to help the X-Men deal with the Skrull invasion in downtown San Francisco.

(Secret Invasion: X-Men I#1 - BTS) - Anole and the Stepford Cuckoos were sent to help evacuate the citizens of San Francisco.

(Secret Invasion: X-Men I#3 (fb) - BTS) - Colossus tasked Anole to locate the Skrull vehicle hangars.

(Secret Invasion: X-Men I#3) - Anole returned from his reconnaissance mission to inform Colossus and the X-Men he didn't find the vehicle hangars but witnessed the Skrulls rounding up civilians. Anole, Graymalkin and the X-Men decided to investigate where Iceman ordered Anole to see where the Skrulls were taking the civilians. Although Anole used his mutant ability to camouflage himself he was eventually caught by a Skrull who immediately opened fire on the boy. Seeing the boy in crisis Colossus rescued Anole and brought him back to the X-Men.

(Secret Invasion: X-Men I#4) - Anole was present when the X-Men were deciding upon a way to fight the Skrulls.

(Uncanny X-Men I#506) - Anole was present when Cyclops and Emma Frost revealed Simon Trask had leaked the footage of the Cooperstown Massacre of the Marauders and Purifiers looking for the first newborn mutant. They continued Trask now pushed anti-mutant legislation in several states.

(Young X-Men I#7) - Anole and the Young X-Men set out on a new mission to find fifty-six construction workers who'd gone missing on an uncharted island. One of Sunspot's business associates had found the island by accident and planned to turn the island into a vacation destination, unaware the island was in fact a Krakoa (most likely the result of when the original Krakoa was hurled into space by the X-Men causing it to release it's spores from which this island grew). Aboard the plane Rockslide went on about a theory he had; one of the Young X-Men wasn't a mutant! Anole, however, wasn't too keen on the gossiping and kept his mind on the mission. Upon landing Moonstar split the team up to cover more ground and had Anole join Sunspot. While the duo covered the terrain Anole questioned Sunspot about his loyalty to the team as he knew Sunspot had also been the Lord Imperial of the Hellfire Club, something which he feared might mean trouble for the team. Sunspot, however, understood the boy's feelings and made sure to tell him he wasn't an "evil mutant". Just then one of Krakoa's antibodies attacked the duo, immediately realizing they were on a Krakoa, Sunspot let himself be eaten by the monster so he could burst through its stomach, thus destroying the antibody. After Sunspot signaled in to Moonstar they established the fact Krakoa only saw mutants as a food source or threat which also proofed Rockslide's theory... Young X-Man Ink wasn't a mutant as he wasn't attacked by the antibodies and easily located the missing construction workers trapped in a cave hiding from the monsters. With the construction workers saved the Young X-Men returned home, knowing one of their own wasn't a mutant.

(Young X-Men I#8) - Anole and Rockslide were training in the Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill, while evading and destroying the training-bots the duo discussed how to call their "danger room". Anole was less than impressed at his friends' suggestions until Dust came crashing in informing her friend they had a new mission. Their mission was to locate Leon Nunez a mutant tattoo artist who'd given Ink his powers. Since they discovered Nunez had also given powers to known criminal Julio Rodriguez the team decided to step in. Upon arriving at La Jolla, Moonstar and Sunspot in their civilian guises confronted Nunez while Anole and Dust used their camouflaging abilities to get into his office and look for any clues on were to find Rodriguez. Having found a photograph of Nunez and Rodriguez in a paintball costume the Young X-Men easily found Rodriguez with his brother Carlos and two other criminals who'd been tatted-up by Nunez. Declaring themselves the Y-Men, the four super powered-criminals fought the team and gained the upper hand when they shot Moonstar and countless other Y-Men revealed their presence. The undetectable Cipher of whom still nobody (except for Graymalkin) knew was on the team, realized keeping her identity a secret would mean certain doom for her friends, decided to go and get help. Cipher located Ink, who'd left the team and just beaten-up two criminals of the Hellfire Cult. Cipher revealed her true identity to Ink reminding him he was still an X-Man and his team needed him.

(Young X-Men I#9) - Anole and the Young X-Men continued their fight against the Y-Men, during the fight Anole counted ninety-nine of them. Much later during the night while the battle still raged on Cipher and Ink arrived, Ink had taken the extra time to confront his tattoo artist Nunez and forced him to give him two new tattoos as part of his plan. On the palm of his right hand a tattoo was placed of a healing symbol and a Phoenix tattoo over his eye. Ink's plan seemed to work as he used his new healing powers to rescue Moonstar after which he used his new Phoenix-like power to remove all the superhuman powers from the Y-Men. Anole and the Young X-Men were shocked at the sight of Ink's Phoenix-like abilities. After the Y-Men had been taken care of the Young X-Men returned home.

(Young X-Men I#10) - Cipher spied on Rockslide and Anole during one of their training sessions as the boys discussed the fact Ink would stay on as team member.

(Young X-Men I#11) - Anole took part in a training session with the full force of the Young X-Men, fighting a towering robot. The team was surprised when Dust suddenly collapsed, the training session was halted to check in on their teammate. Dust hastily commented she just lost her focus and quickly left the training room, the team, however, was unaware Dust was dying at a cellular level since being turned to glass by Magma. In a desperate act Dust then freed Donald Pierce from his prison cell because he'd promised he could cure her. Dust and Pierce rushed toward an escape ship, but were blocked by Beast, Cyclops, Moonstar, Sunspot and Wolverine. Faced with the decision of helping Pierce or attacking her friends, Dust turned on Pierce, ripping the flesh off his robotic form. Pierce held his own against the mutants until the Young X-Men (Anole, Cipher, Graymalkin, Ink, Rockslide) attacked. The battle was halted when Dust collapsed again and seemingly died.

(Young X-Men I#12) - Anole could do nothing but watch as a furious Rockslide savagely launched himself at Pierce while Ink tried to use his healing powers on Dust. When he proved unable to do so, the team surrounded their fallen teammate. Sometime later that day Anole, Graymalkin, Ink and Rockslide met up to discuss the future of the team while Cipher was off helping Moonstar cleanse and wrap Sooraya's body in preparation of her burial. During their meeting Anole was fed up with helping the X-Men commenting they weren't even X-Men-in-training but just cannon fodder. The boy continued and explained this was exactly the reason he didn't want to come back as the only thing they did was die. Just than Cipher entered the room and told them Sooraya's body had been prepared, revealing that because of her religion she needed to be buried within 24 hours. Fed up with the losing of friends Rockslide and Anole decided to disband the team, while the others reluctantly agreed. Ink then rushed off, still feeling guilty about his former alliance to Pierce he went to see Dust's corpse. Ink decided to give it one last go and use Phoenix-like powers to successfully resurrect and heal Dust, but in doing so rendering himself catatonic. Some time later the X-Men moved Ink and Dust to the medical bay for research, claiming Ink still had some brain activity but had been subdued as if he was overcharged. Anole and the others heard about the news and came to see Dust who reminded the team that they were still X-Men. Just as the words had left her lips Moonstar came rushing in, the villainous Neo had returned and were advancing on San Francisco. The team looked at each other and decided to remain X-Men.

(X-Men: Earth's Mutant Heroes#1 - BTS) - Elysia and Tartarus of the Neo had created manifestations of the late Jaeger, Rax and Salvo, and, joined by Junction and Anteus went to San Francisco seeking revenge for their people's death on Genosha. Since most had been forced to serve in Magneto's army after which Cassandra Nova's Wild Sentinels attacked Genosha.

(Young X-Men#12) - Upon arriving at the Golden Gate Bridge Anole and the others fought the Neo, during the battle Anole fought Elysia.

(Young X-Men#12 - BTS) - Anole and the other Young X-Men moved to Graymalkin Industries.

(Marvel Digital Holiday Special#1/1) - Anole joined the X-Men to celebrate Christmas. The celebration ended with a spectacular performance by Dazzler.

(Runaways III#10) - While out in the city of San Francisco, Anole and the other students came across the teenage team the Runaways. The Runaways had just dropped off their friend Molly Hayes to get a tour of the X-Men's facility while the Runaways decided to wait whether she would return or not. To kill the time the Runaways and X-Men students decided to go out and enjoy themselves at the X SF Dance Club on Harrison.

(New Mutants III#1) - While enjoying the nice weather on the lawn of Graymalkin Industries, Anole and the students were surprised when a severely injured Magik suddenly teleported in. Seeing the girl that was responsible for dragging them into conflict with Belasco induced a lot of hate in the students with Anole and Pixie at the forefront, ready to beat her to a pulp. The students, however, were stopped by Cannonball and Sunspot who managed to diffuse the situation.

(Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia) - When Larry Trask and the Humanity Now! Coalition marched on San Francisco, they were opposed by anti-Proposition X protestors consisting of the mutant-loving people of San Francisco and a small gathering of X-Men containing: Anole, Graymalkin, Pixie, Hellion, Glob Herman, Rockslide, Dazzler, Northstar and Beast. Seeing the perfect opportunity to trigger the volatile situation Trask threw oil on the fire by shouting the mutants had cut them off, surrounding them. The trigger-happy coalition members then attacked the mutants and mutant-loving citizens of San Francisco. During the riot Anole was injured and bleeding out of his head, he was taken to safety by a police officer. Later that day Cyclops sent his X-Men into the city to deal with the ongoing riots, still later that night Norman Osborn (head of the national peacekeeping organization H.A.M.M.E.R.) publicly branded Cyclops an instigator and deployed his Avengers to quell the conflict and arrest anyone who stood in their way.

(X-Men Legacy I#227 (fb)) - Anole was present when Onyxx and Ariel arrived back at the X-Men's HQ during their war against H.A.M.M.E.R. and the Dark Avengers.

(Uncanny X-Men I#513) - The next morning Anole and the students witnessed news reports of an all-new, all-different X-Men team under leadership of Emma Frost, now calling herself the Black Queen.

(Dark Avengers I#8) - Anole was present when Pixie arrived to reveal Cyclops had given the order to attack Osborn's forces.

(Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus) - Anole and the full force of the X-Men gathered on the former Asteroid M that floated in the waters surrounding San Francisco where they awaited Osborn's strike force the Dark Avengers and Dark X-Men. During the full-on battle Anole was hit early on by Hawkeye the sharp-shooting Bullseye. After facing off against Norman Osborn the X-Men decided to leave San Francisco. Anole and all of the student body moved to their own nation called Utopia on top of Asteroid M.

(X-Men Legacy Annual I#1) - Anole was seen on Utopia alongside Surge and others unpacking boxes. Later that day he was most likely present when the X-Men had become aware of Emplate's presence on Utopia and gathered all mutants present to warn them of the predatory mutant. Cyclops ordered everyone to stick together, because on their own they'd be easy prey for Emplate. Unbeknownst to the X-Men, Emplate had come to look for Penance who he'd previously fed on and whose diamond form could last indefinitely. When he realized Penance was no longer with the X-Men, he settled for the next best thing: Bling!.

(X-Men Legacy I#228) - Anole was present when Onyxx and Hellion told Cyclops that Emplate captured Bling!.

(X-Men Legacy I#230) - Anole was present when Rogue returned from her mission and Hope awoke. Rogue's plan had been successful as several moments later Emplate's firehouse arrived and crashed on Utopia. After Bling! unleashed a powerful attack against Emplate the X-Men took it over from there. After the X-Men had dealt with the threat of Emplate, the boys participated in a friendly game of volleyball while Anole and the girls made sure Bling! was feeling okay after her abduction.

(Psylocke I#1) - One of Utopia's more unpleasant citizens Sack had put Anole, Loa and Dust under his influence and threatened to kill them. Nezhno, Rockslide, Mercury, Surge and Pixie prepared to attack him, but before they could act Psylocke and Dazzler arrived. After dealing with Sack, Psylocke ordered the students to take him to the cellblock.

(Nation X#1/1) - Anole, Loa and Rockslide interrupted the senior X-Men to warn them Mercury had gone missing in the caves of Utopia, adding that a ghost had taken their friend. Expecting to find something familiar in his former base (Utopia used to be Asteroid M) Magneto offered to help the students and joined them to explore the caves. Because they still doubted Magneto's intentions, Loa and Anole hid behind Rockslide as they followed him through narrow corridors in the cave. Magneto opened up a wall so the group could continue their search, however this new opening was crowded with still functioning Magneto-like Sentinels. Loa, Anole and Rockslide immediately attacked the barely working Sentinels until Magneto used his abilities to shut them down permanently. The search continued as the group searched another narrow corridor when Loa's choker started to levitate. The group approached a room where a special device was drawing everything metal towards it. Magneto then pushed a button on the control panel to turn the machine off. As the device stopped, all the metal objects it had gathered dropped as well, revealing Mercury had been trapped by the machine. With their friend recovered Magneto ordered the children to leave while he would investigate the so-called "ghost". With Anole and the other students gone Magneto found an old hologram of himself.

(Cloak and Dagger IV#1) - Anole, Graymalkin and Rockslide participated in a danger room session with Utopia's newest resident Dagger (Tandy Bowen). But when Dagger blew Rockslide to pieces Storm stopped the session. With the program ended, Doctor Nemesis walked into the room as well asking to get a word with Dagger to discuss his tests had concluded she wasn't a mutant: her powers were the result of the drugs she and Cloak were injected with. Dagger was disappointed, because she finally believed she'd found the place were she belonged. Dagger asked Nemesis if there were any other tests they could run, referring to the fact Beast had been working on a cellular test. Nemesis commented that she should be happy with the news and left. Anole did his best to comfort Dagger until she retreated to her quarters. Several days later Dagger stormed into Cyclops' office with the news Cloak had been missing for three days. He had been lured into a trap by his friend Tia and captured by a group led by Mr. Strickland looking to teach Cloak to not use his powers. However Cyclops had more important matters to deal with and asked Dagger to leave. Doctor Nemesis was present with several X-Men discussing an unidentified airborne threat when Dagger came in looking for help. When Storm gave Dagger the cold shoulder she turned to Doctor Nemesis who told her that he couldn't help her. Without the help she so desperately needed, Dagger used her light powers to find Cloak, and finally located him in South Boston where he was kept prisoner in the South Boston Senior High School. Feeling for the girl Doctor Nemesis decided to follow Dagger and took Anole with him, the duo witnessed how she managed to free Cloak and convince him of who he was, Cloak then immediately turned on Strickland's men who used advanced weaponry to subdue them. Taking their cue Doctor Nemesis and Anole entered the building and used a device to cancel out Strickland's "smart dust", after which they attacked Strickland and his men. Just then Tia arrived by teleportation, attacking Dagger, however, Cloak quickly took hold of his former friend as the group realized she also had powers. Tia looked for Strickland to help her subdue her powers but the men had already fled the scene after which Cloak asked her to come back with them to the X-Men for help. Tia noted she would rather die and escaped as well. With the threat dealt with, Doctor Nemesis proposed the group returned to Utopia, however, Dagger revealed she and Cloak weren't joining them and left the X-Men.

(Dark Reign: The List - X-Men) - When the X-Men were investigating the mass murder of the Atlanteans (Osborn's secret revenge plot on Namor involving his dead wife Marrina), Anole was seen alongside Erg and Hepzibah at the market on Utopia.

(X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas#1) - The X-Men were out and about building a lush and green environment on Utopia. Anole was seen carrying some heavy objects when Scott and Emma Frost arrived looking for Doctor Nemesis.

(Nation X#1/3) - While going their business on Utopia, Anole and Rockslide were suddenly put on ice by Iceman. Thinking he could torment the "x-kids", reminding them they would never be as good as the original X-Men.

(Uncanny X-Men I#517) - Anole and several students took refuge while the X-Men fought several Predator X's. However, one of the beasts managed to reach the students. To protect them, Rogue asked Anole and the others to touch her so she could take their abilities, after which she killed the beast.

(Nation X#2/2) - Anole joined Trance, Loa, Dust and Rockslide to visit Jubilee in San Francisco. The former X-Man had been turned into a vampire by the son of Dracula, Xarus, and was living on her own to adjust. During the visit, the students tried to convince Jubilee to return with them to Utopia, even as they told her about the X-Men's recent fight against Norman Osborn's "Dark Avengers". Anole commented that Norman Osborn had tried to blow them up. Before Jubilee could decide on returning, Surge barged in and ordered the young students to return to Utopia while giving the cold shoulder to Jubilee, believing she shouldn't have contacted the X-Men since she wasn't a mutant anymore (Jubilee had previously been depowered on M-Day). Jubilee, however, realized what was going on with Surge, she was jealous and wished she'd been depowered herself so she could live a normal life. Anole and the others listened while Jubilee explained what it meant to be a mutant after which a remorseful Surge asked if she wanted to join them. Jubilee declined and Trance and the others returned to Utopia.

(Nation X#3/2) - Anole, Mercury and Rockslide were selected to help Cannonball on a new project, building a farm land on Utopia. Feeling his talents being a mutant were wasted working on a farm Anole got into a heated argument with Cannonball after which he tried to leave. Thinking to learn the young boy a lesson Magik teleported Anole to an abandoned desert-land. Anole spent several days in the desert, surviving without any water until Magik arrived on the fifth day with a flask of water. Anole quickly quenched his thirst after which he verbally assaulted Magik who then tried to teleport away. Anole quickly grabbed her by the shoulder, begging her not to go, he then told her he understood why they'd started the farming-project. Magik believed Anole had learned his lesson and returned him to Utopia where she was almost attacked by Mercury who was afraid Magik had sent her friend into Limbo again. Anole diffused the situation and continued his work on the farm.

(X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back#1) - Tasked with building an irrigation-system on Utopia, Anole and Rockslide were surprised some of the female students were nowhere to be found. In search of Pixie, Blindfold, Armor, Mercury and X-23 the boys noticed the girls' lavatory closed for a long time and decided to break in where they found Blindfold. The precog also knew the girls were missing and noted there was going to be trouble. Unbeknownst to the group Pixie had been imprisoned by the demon Saturnine who wished to use the girl to empower himself, he also had Armor, Mercury and X-23 imprisoned in the basement of the abandoned St. Andrews high school whilst keeping them under with Pixie's pixie dust.

(X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back#2) - Anole, Rockslide and Blindfold made their way over to Emma Frost to explain Blindfold's disturbing words. But in the midst of their discussion the X-Man Nightcrawler arrived who'd just ran into Mrs. Gwynn, Pixie's mother who was also searching for her daughter. Anole climbed on top of Rockslide and as the two X-Men decided what needed to be done Blindfold fell to her knees calling "trouble". Blindfold was somehow linked to Pixie's fantastyworld where she stabbed Blindfold in the chest with her soul dagger. Luckily Blindfold seemed fine and mumbled something about a private Dazzler show prompting Frost to go and investigate the girls room. In there the group found an invitation to the Dazzler show, Anole, Rockslide, Blindfold, Nightcrawler, Psylocke and Frost set out to locate the missing girls.

(X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back#3) - Anole and the rescue party arrived at the supposed venue for Dazzler's private show but quickly realized the story to be untrue. Upon entering the seedy broken-down building Anole also noticed an old banner hanging from the ceiling with the word 'prom' on it. Just then Frost picked up a telepathic distress call from Pixie which allowed the team to track her down to the abandoned St. Andrews high school at the same time as the demon Saturnine exited the school with Pixie and Mrs. Gwynn arrived with the two Wyngarde daughters who were in fact Pixie's half-sisters.

(X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back#4) - On top of the abandoned school gathered a large group of demons, Saturnine's minions, who immediately attacked the X-Men. Anole joined the fight as well, battling the demon horde. However, unbeknownst to the X-Men, Pixie had already escaped the fantasyworld she was trapped in and had used her powerful pixie dust to have Saturnine do her bidding without him even realizing. Anole and the others witnessed Pixie "following" Saturnine's orders and had Mrs. Gwynn bind her magic to Pixie's soul dagger. Via the Masterminds' illusions, Saturnine and her mother seemed to transform the soul dagger into an immense sword, which she handed to Saturnine; in reality, they just conjured a giant sword. No longer needing his minions, Saturnine slaughtered them with the giant sword, then announced his intent to become ruler of his former realm. Realizing the "soul sword" would be useless against the non-magic mutants, Saturnine was goaded by Psylocke into sheathing the sword to physically confront them; as soul swords were sheathed within the user's body, Saturnine shoved the sword into his body, and was surprised when it physically impaled and incapacitated him. Mere moments later the group was joined by the other missing students who'd managed to escape the building's basement. Mrs. Gwynn then said her goodbyes to Pixie and left her with the X-Men, complete once again the mutants returned to Utopia.

(X-Men Legacy I#234) - Anole was training with several other students while Rogue was giving Surge some advise.

(Wolverine: Dust From Above (fb) - BTS) - Anole was part of Utopia's book club alongside other students Rockslide, Mercury, Trance, Gentle, Pixie, Surge and Loa. Every week another senior X-Man would tell the students a story from a book.

(Wolverine: Dust From Above (fb) - BTS) - This week's senior was Wolverine who told them the Japanese story of Kishichiro.

(Wolverine: Dust From Above) - The following day the students meet up outside in the sun, since Wolverine figured there was no need to stay in a stuffy library. Once Loa arrived, who was running a tad late Wolverine continued his story on Kishichiro from the day before. Wolverine told how the character from his book; Kishichiro climbed a mountain to face a demon. After concluding his tale the students gathered, having seemingly enjoyed Wolverine's tale. Loa, however, reached for the book only to find an illustration of Kishichiro which bared a striking resemblance to Wolverine.

(X-Men: Hellbound#1) - Looking for a way to rescue Magik who'd been abducted to Limbo, Cannonball assembled a team of X-Men including Anole who initially refused the request since he'd lost his arm during his last visit to the demonic realm. Cannonball eventually managed to persuade Anole to go and had him persuade Pixie to join as well. The other members of the rescue team included Gambit, Dazzler, Northstar, Trance and Pixie.

(Uncanny X-Men I#524) - Cannonball and his new team met up with Cyclops and Emma Frost to discuss their plan. After falling out against Pixie, who also wasn't keen on returning to Limbo, the team left to prepare for their mission.

(X-Men: Hellbound#1) - Cannonball's rescue team arrived in the X-Men's Hangar where Pixie used her magic spell to teleport the team to Limbo where the group immediately found themselves surrounded by a horde of bloodthirsty demons. Overwhelmed by the sheer volume of demons, they quickly scattered, each of them separately fighting demonic foes.

(X-Men: Hellbound#2) - Anole found himself completely cut off from all other X-Men, surrounded by the ferocious demons. Tired of running from the demons Anole decided to take a stand and attacked one of them with his elongated tongue only to be thrown from a cliffside. But before Anole could fall in a pool of smoldering lava he was rescued by Cannonball. Anole screamed at the X-Man where he'd been, noting he didn't see anyone in days, Cannonball was quick to comment Limbo was playing with them as they'd only been separated ten minutes ago. However, before the duo could go and look for the other X-Men they were attacked by Gambit, Dazzler and Northstar. Gambit had in fact been taken over by his Death Persona. As Death, Gambit decided to conquer all of Limbo, using his power to corrupt other creatures into his servants even converting Northstar and Dazzler into his servants.

(X-Men: Hellbound#3) - Still in the lava fields, Anole and Cannonball were now surrounded by a horde of demons who now served Gambit. Cannonball urged Gambit to fight the corruption which fell on deaf ears, Gambit then focused his attention on Anole commenting he wished to see how his regenerative powers worked. The converted Northstar and Dazzler also joined in the discussion as they wished to cut off Anole's arms. Seeing no opportunity to win the fight Cannonball ordered Anole to hold on to him and quickly blasted off, fleeing Gambit and the demon horde. Cannonball and Anole eventually returned to the fight when Gambit and his servants fought N'astirh and his servants over Magik, who was imprisoned in the midst of their battle. While Cannonball took on Gambit, Anole fought Dazzler giving Pixie the opportunity to free Magik. With Magik freed she and Pixie joined forces to save Gambit from Limbo's influence. With the order restored and the X-Men rescued the entire team returned to Utopia.

(New Mutants III#15) - With Bastion defeated Anole and Rockslide joined the X-Men in the postwar reconstruction of Utopia.

(X-Men Legacy I#238 (fb) ) - Indra was called home to India due to a family emergency. Cyclops decided to send Anole and Loa along with him to give the students a chance to catch their breaths after their recent fight against Nimrod. Rogue and Magneto were sent along as well.

(X-Men Legacy I#238) - Upon arriving in Mumbai, the family chauffeur Marut was standing by to drive the party to the Gavascar family home in Panchajana. Indra's mother was excited to see her son again and gave him a loving embrace while his ever so cold father merely shook his hand. Anole, Loa and their teachers decided to visit the city while Indra tended to his family, learning his brother's condition was more complicated than it first appeared: his brother had been rendered comatose by a freak energy storm, one of many that had recently torn through the city. But his brother's state was not the real reason he had been called home. Indra's brother Tejpal had been engaged to a girl and Indra was supposed to be married in his place instead. At the same time Rogue, Magneto and the two students discovered the energy storms were anything but natural disasters even as they were caught in a storm as well. It brought with it the super-powered runaway Luz and a squad of mutant-hunting Sentinels tasked to capture her.

(X-Men Legacy I#239) - Rogue ordered Anole and Loa to flee while she and Magneto would deal with the Sentinels. Anole and Loa refused to do so and decided to each attack a Sentinel. After defeating the Sentinels, the X-Men took Luz with them as they returned to the Gavascar Estate where Indra's father was less than pleased to see yet another unwelcome visitor. However Indra stood up for his friends and asked his father to let them stay so he would have some familiar faces at his wedding, which stunned the X-Men. As soon as his parents left the room, Indra explained what had happened and that he would abide by his family's wishes and go through with the marriage. Later that day, a meeting was arranged between Indra and his fiancée Vaipala Rani. They tried to get acquainted, which didn't sit well with Luz who had taken a liking to Indra herself. The next morning the Gavascar household awoke to a rather unpleasant surprise as Luz had used her abilities to make a light-sculpture of herself and Indra naked in a romantic embrace. When Luz was told off for this childish behavior, she erased the construct and went to her guest room. Sometime later the X-Men's old enemies the Children of the Vault showed up to collect their sister Luz.

(X-Men Legacy I#240) - Unable to fight off the Children of the Vault, the X-Men were defeated and unable to stop them from taking Luz (who actually had been replaced by Indra's fiancée). Rogue and Magneto were taken as well. Only Indra was left by the time Anole, Loa and his parents reached him. After explaining what had happened Indra was determined to go after the Children to find his friends, much to his father's disapproval who had nothing but the marriage on his mind. To fulfill his father's wishes he promised to marry right away so he could return to the business at hand. Not much later the family was gathered to witness Indra's marriage to Vaipala (secretly Luz). During the ceremony, she realized she couldn't go on with her ruse and revealed her true self. Luz told them that Vaipala had wanted to see the world and offered to switch with her. At the same time in the extradimensional city of Quitado, Vaipala stood revealed as well. Powerless to act, Quitado crashed into Panchajana city, which Anole and the wedding party witnessed as well.

(X-Men Legacy I#241) - Anole, Indra and Loa left for the fallen city of Quitado. But before they entered Luz decided to help the teenagers, Luz used her light-powers to make the X-Men students appear as generic Children of the Vault. This allowed Anole and his friends to infiltrate the city where they found Rogue, Magneto and Indra's ex-fiancée. Their next priority was getting Quitado away before it destroyed Mumbai. Magneto located a device that needed to be disabled and steered the teenagers in its direction. Magneto revealed the guards were inorganic which allowed Loa and Indra to use their powers to their full extent and destroy the guards. After destroying the last of them the group gained entrance to the anchor house. However, they were attacked again by several of the Children of the Vault. Unable to fend off all the superhumans, Rogue was about to be killed if not for Indra grabbing the assailant and breaking her neck. Shocked he had killed, Indra asked Rogue not to talk about it until after the crisis. Upon reaching the anchor Loa used her powers to weaken the shield so Magneto could destroy it. Without the anchor, Quitado disappeared from this dimensional plane. The next day Anole and the X-Men left for New York.

(X-Men Legacy I#242) - Anole was part of a group of students playing a game of baseball on Utopia. It was Loa's turn when Anole threw her a special ball, unable to fully control her powers Loa swung the bat and dematerialized the ball. Prompting Mercury and Rockslide to become upset with Anole and Loa.

(X-Men Legacy I#243) - Rockslide, Loa and Anole discussed the fact who would win in a fight between Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Loa thought it was a stupid debate since both were Harrison Ford.

(Uncanny X-Men I#530) - Anole fell victim to HX-N1, a synthetically engineered influenza virus designed part of a mutagenic biological warfare designed by the Sublime Corporation's CEO, Lobe. Believing he had a simple cold Anole woke up feeling miserable and when regular drugs proofed ineffective he reached out to the X-Club. Anole was examined by Dr. Kavita Rao and Dr. Cecilia Reyes who concluded it was in fact the HX-N1 strain. The doctors informed Cyclops, warning him it could mean the early stage of an influenza pandemic, Scott decided to put Utopia under quarantine fearing mutant-to-human transmission. In the days that followed more and more mutants fell sick to the influenza.

(Uncanny X-Men I#531) - Anole was seen sleeping in the quarantined medical bay when Hope and Oya came to visit their sick friend Transonic.

(Uncanny X-Men I#534) - Cyclops was in dire need to have his X-Men fight Sublime Corporation's CEO, Lobe, so he'd ordered Doctor Nemesis to medicate all of the infected to the best of his abilities so they could join the fight. To proof it worked Dr. Nemesis showed off Anole to Cyclops since Anole had been showing symptoms the longest. Cyclops told the boy he didn't need to join the fight prompting Anole to tell the X-Men leader he wanted a chance to fight. Anole was presumably present later during the fight against Lobe and the buyers who'd used Lobe's drugs to manifest mutant abilities.

(Invaders Now! I#1) - Noticing Namor the Sub-Mariner had brought the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond) to Utopia, Anole and Rockslide quickly made their way over to meet the iconic hero. Starstruck Anole struggled to get the words out his mouth when Rockslide bluntly interrupted, asking Hammond if he'd killed Hitler. Although he was shocked to hear the mutant teenagers dare ask that Hammond revealed he indeed killed the man and went on to comment he regretted only doing watching the monster burn to death once. Speechless Anole and Rockslide quickly left.

(Generation Hope I#5) - Anole attended Emma Frost's ethics class where the class was interrupted when Hope suddenly stood up while only saying the words "out" her friends the Lights then followed her out of the classroom. Frost demanded the group to return to class but when they refused she reminded the Lights Hope would be the end of them.

(X-23 III#1) - During one night all the students met up around a campfire to enjoy some off-time. During this evening-soiree Anole was seen singing a few songs from Elvis although Rockslide wasn't particularly keen on Anole's version. The fun atmosphere was ruined by Hellion who still hadn't dealt with losing both of his hands. The following morning Anole and the students set out for a walk to clear their heads when they came across X-23, someone who Surge and Rockslide weren't too pleased to see. Surge and Rockslide were still mad at X-23 for joining Cyclops's killer squad X-Force and keeping it a secret from her so-called friends. The volatile situation was diffused when Cyclops walked by and took X-23 aside for a talk.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#1/1 (fb) ) - During one evening Rockslide rudely woke Anole from his sleep to try and persuade him to patrol the streets of San Francisco to fight crime. Taking a liking to Rockslide's idea Anole agreed. To disguise themselves Anole put on a mustache and a long green cape while Rockslide wore a mask. Trying to sneak out the duo first came across Wolverine who wasn't interested in what they were about to do but did compliment Anole on his nice mustache. Next they also came across Doctor Nemesis and Namor who were equally uninterested in the duo.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#1/1 (fb) - BTS) - For one week the "X-Dudes" would sneak into the city and fight crime, during this time they stopped two robberies, a vandal and some taggers.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#1/1) - Having arrived in the city it didn't take long for the duo to come across crime when they noticed a blonde woman chased by a masked swordsmen and five goons. Rockslide and Anole quickly descended from the rooftop to go and fight the men. Realizing they could never defeat the superhuman vigilantes the masked swordsmen decided to pull back and deal with the woman later. However, instead of thanking the mutants the blonde woman also fled the scene.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#2/1 (fb)) - Rockslide and Anole convinced Illyana to teleport them into the city to fight crime.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#2/1) - For the following two weeks Rockslide and Anole would continue to fight crime during the night, facing off against the same goons several times. The duo, however, were unaware they were part of crime-lord Mister Negative's plan to gain a foothold in San Francisco.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#2/1 (fb) - BTS) - During their crime-fighting nights the duo experienced a high-speed chase when Rockslide used his body as a roadblock to stop a car, almost killing a man.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#2/1 (fb) - BTS) - While reading the newspaper, Anole accidentally came across a photograph of the blonde woman they'd saved earlier. Believing there was more than a simple mugging Anole decided to investigate and learned she was working as an assistant district attorney.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#2/1) - During one morning Rockslide and Anole were being yelled out by their teachers Angel and Iceman for napping. While Angel was still yelling at Rockslide, Loa asked Anole what was going on with them, Anole answered they were just very tired. Loa quickly commented he was a terrible liar, she, however, was unaware the duo would go out on the streets of San Francisco to fight crime.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#2/1) - One day Rockslide and Anole watched a news who reported on their actions calling the duo a possible "Jason Verhees" and Skrull imposter of Moon Knight. Although the X-Men were still in the dark about their true identities the duo bumped fists. That night while back in the city Anole revealed he'd investigated the blonde woman they'd rescued earlier, believing there was more than a simple mugging story. But as they discussed the story the duo was shocked when the woman's office suddenly exploded. Rockslide quickly threw Anole towards her office where he rescued her once again. Recognizing her saviors from their previous encounter she hugged Anole thanking him for their help. Still later that night Rockslide and Anole tried to return to Utopia when they were suddenly faced by the superhuman Serpent Society who'd been hired by Mister Negative to kill the young heroes.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#3/1) - Facing the experienced super villains Anole was certain they faced death while Rockslide was ready to fight them. The Rattler, however, easily blew Rockslide to bits leaving Anole to fight the entire Serpent Society. Anole successfully fought the villains until Rockslide managed to reform himself but instead of helping Anole he was "turned" by Mister Negative himself who had the ability to bend people to his will.

(X-Men: To Serve and Protect#4/1) - Anole dodged the possessed Rockslide's hits, jumping amongst the Serpent Society members so that they would be hit instead of him. Mr. Negative ended his possession of Rockslide and threw a smoke grenade to cover their escape. However, before Anole and Rockslide could deal with what had happened the X-Men arrived. The duo prepared for the worst but Cyclops commended the duo on their hard work and told them to keep up the good work.

(Heroic Age: X-Men - BTS) - As the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D., Steve Rogers assessed the entire known mutant community. In his report, he analyzed Anole and stated he agreed with Beast, that Anole had been required to grow up far too fast.

(New Mutants III#27) - In an effort to keep the younger X-Men informed about any threat figures the X-Men had faced before Cyclops would regularly pick one villain to discuss. Cyclops knew that if the younger X-Men had to face any of these threats head on there wouldn't be any time to google them. As such Anole was present when Cyclops talked about Sugar Man a mutant geneticist and biologist who'd originated from the Age of Apocalypse timeline.

(X-Men III#11) - Anole attended Jubilee's surprise birthday party. However Jubilee didn't quite enjoy the party, after becoming a vampire she didn't feel like a regular person anymore.

(X-Men III#13) - When the X-Men were under attack by the Evolutionaries, Anole and the students took shelter in their base while Cyclops revealed the Evolutionaries' origin to the students. The Evolutionaries, who believed humanity was preying on mutantkind and intended on defending them by destroying all of humanity. In the meanwhile several more criminal residents of Utopia (Toad, Masque, Bliss, Litterbug and Dragoness) took a liking to the Evolutionaries' plan and tried to stop the X-Men from within.

(X-Men III#14) - Anole joined Rockslide and Match to save the X-Club from Litterbug and Dragoness while Dust, Trance, Surge and Pixie rescued Irma Cuckoo from Toad, Masque and Bliss.

(X-Men III#15 - BTS) - Thanks to the help of Anole and the students Madison Jeffries and the X-Club managed to activate a machine that helped Cyclops to defeat the Evolutionaries.

(X-Men: Schism#2) - Anole, Trance, Dust and Transonic were discussing what had gone down since Quentin Quire telepathically attacked Cyclops during an international arms conference on the eradication of Sentinel technology. Just as Trance noted "Death to Mutants" was trending on Twitter they were spotted by Wolverine who told them to get to class. However, all classes had been canceled on the account of the whole world wanting to kill them. Later that day while all of his X-Men were out destroying all kind of foreign Sentinels, Cyclops decided to send a group of his senior X-Men (Emma Frost, Magneto, Namor, Colossus and Iceman) to the grand opening of San Francisco's Mutant History Museum as a show of force. Along with these X-Men were a group of students chosen to accompany them, amongst them were Anole, Trance, Oya, Dust and Transonic.

(Generation Hope I#10) - While at the opening of San Francisco's Mutant History Museum Anole was seen eating from the buffet while Trance, Oya and Transonic enjoyed a drink while looking at some art.

(X-Men: Schism#3) - Anole came up to the girls to tell them he noticed Frost's nose was bleeding, figuring something was severely wrong. Just then the Mutant History Museum came under attack by the Hellfire Club. Anole, Trance, Dust and Transonic were quickly overpowered by the Hellfire Club's guard only leaving Oya behind who quickly hid from the villains. In the end it was Oya, persuaded by Cyclops to attack the Hellfire Club agents, killing them. Which allowed Anole and the other students to escape and Cyclops and Wolverine to rescue their fallen teammates.

(Generation Hope I#11) - Upon returning to Utopia it had become clear the Hellfire Club's final move was a new gigantic Sentinel which was heading towards Utopia. Anole joined Rockslide, Dust and Prodigy as they went to see Hope Summers and her squad. Both groups decided wether or not they would join Cyclops to fight the Sentinel, fearing certain death.

(X-Men: Schism#4) - Noticing the Sentinel had almost arrived at Utopia, Anole and the other students went up to the X-Men's leader, declaring that they would be his X-Men if needed. Determined to take the students up on their offer Cyclops told them they could do it after which Wolverine arrived who refused to let children fight any more of the X-Men's battles. Seeing he was getting nowhere Wolverine left, something which surprised Anole and the others. With Wolverine gone, Cyclops ensured the students they could win the fight if they would stand together, however, right before the young mutants could attack the Sentinel Wolverine returned. To stop Cyclops from sacrificing the young students Wolverine had wired Utopia with 2000 pounds of plastic explosives planning to blow Utopia to destroy the Sentinel. Wolverine ordered the students to tell Danger and Dr. Rao to start the evacuation, Anole and the students then quickly left. What happened next.. Wolverine and Cyclops, once the closest of allies now found themselves locked in deadly battle over the future of the X-Men, while the most powerful Sentinel they ever faced was about to kill them both.

(X-Men: Schism#5) - Still locked in battle Cyclops and Wolverine suddenly noticed their young students were already fighting the Sentinel, Wolverine decided to forgo of is plan and dropped the charger to the bombs and joined the fight. After a fierce battle the two X-Men and their young students won the fight and destroyed the Sentinel.

(X-Men: Regenesis#1) - Following the schism between Cyclops and Wolverine, news that Wolverine had quit the X-Men to start a school where young mutants would be students, not soldiers, reached the young X-Men in training on Utopia. Talking it over during a game of baseball, it was clear the students were divided on the subject. Anole decided he didn't want to be trained as a soldier and would follow Wolverine to his new school.

(X-Men: Schism#5) - Anole left Utopia on the Blackbird.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#1) - During the first day of school at the Jean Grey School, Anole was seen walking through the hallways with his friend Rockslide. The duo was joined by Oya for their psychic self-defense class by Rachel Grey who taught them to guard their minds when headmaster Wolverine passed by with Mrs. Marigold and Mr. Clud from the New York State department of education, the inspectors had come to evaluate how much of a threat the school was, the strange class left yet another less than great impression of the school.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#2) - Later during that first day of school the Jean Grey School came under attack from the new Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. Anole, Rockslide and Broo were stuck alongside Rachel Summers during the attack.

(Magneto: Not a Hero I#3) - Anole and Rockslide gave their friend Pixie a call (Pixie had remained on Utopia). The boys did their best to persuade their friend to come and join the Jean Grey School but right before she could react Magneto arrived with the villainous Astra.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#4) - Anole attended Kitty Pryde's class where they were introduced to a new student Genesis, who was in fact the clone of a reincarnated Apocalypse. The boy had been genetically aged and virtually trained to do good by his "uncle" Fantomex, upon his discovery X-Force had decided the boy had to enroll at the Jean Grey School to further his education. Anole and the students, however were kept in the dark about Genesis' origin, nonetheless Rockslide and Anole were immediately reminded of the infamous super villain by the boy. During their class on the Future with such subjects as Cable, Bishop, Rachel Grey and the Age of Apocalypse with guest lecturer Deathlok. Deathlok began to share percentage chances of various possible events including mortality for several of the students, including Idie Okonkwo, Quentin Quire, Kubark and Broo. Upon looking at Evan (Genesis), Deathlok was silenced and then announced that the lecture was concluded. Anole was presumably also present later that day when the class was introduced by yet another new student the "amnesiac" Angel, one of the original X-Men who now believed he truly was an angel. The next day Anole and Kid Gladiator witnessed Kitty Pryde throw up, unaware she was impregnated with tiny versions of the extraterrestrial Brood.

(X-Men: Legacy I#260.1) - Anole, Rockslide, Armor and Glob Herman enjoyed a game of American football with several X-Men. During the game Rogue borrowed some of Rachel Summer's telekinetic power to blow Rockslide into small pieces. However, while reforming himself Rockslide had inexplicably taken hold of stones covering a N'Garai gateway, thus releasing the extradimensional demons. Rogue sensed what had happened and immediately sent Anole and the students back to school as she did her best to keep the news from the students, claiming all the noise was "just" some demolition work going on outside. Then during class Anole and the students were informed on what the N'Garai were.

(X-Men: Legacy I#261) - Anole and Trance were on their way to class when they were approached by Blindfold. Afraid one of the girl's visions might lead to another hellish adventure Trance quickly yelled "no!". Anole then told Blindfold that some students thought she wasn't just predicting them but actually making them happen after which they left the students, standing alone in the hallway Blindfold noted she only wanted to know the math assignment. However, mere moments later she did in fact get another vision after which Exodus attacked the X-Men. To keep the students save Anole and the others were put in a special panic room that would be teleported to a neutral dimension.

(X-Men: Legacy I#263) - After Exodus was dealt with, Anole and the students returned home. Returning to school Anole asked Husk if it was save to come back, Husk noted the bad guy had been locked up. To make sure Blindfold felt better about the prior situation he told Trance there was no need to be scared of Blindfold as her visions didn't always came true.

(X-Men: Legacy I#264) - Anole attended the class "coping with physical changes" with their instructor Chamber when Weapon Omega (Michael Pointer) came crashing through the walls. Pointer's powers were out of control seeking to fill himself with more mutant energies, Chamber rescued his students by hitting him with a powerful blast of pyrokinetic energy after which the X-Men took over.

(Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha & Omega I#1) - Anole was seen walking through the school's hallways followed by Cipher and Mercury.

(Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha & Omega I#2) - Anole entered a classroom together with Cipher, Nezhno, Rockslide and Broo.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#12 (fb)) - Weeks before the arrival of the Phoenix Force, Rachel Summers taught a class of psychic self-defense attended by Anole, Trance, Rockslide and Kid Omega. Rachel, however, pushed her students extra hard and even assaulted Kid Omega for reading her mind. When headmaster Wolverine saw what Rachel was doing, he dismissed the class to set her straight.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#9) - Anole and several students attended a flying class taught by Cannonball and his sister Husk. After basic instruction, all students were given jetpacks and took to the sky. However with the sudden arrival of the Phoenix Force, Kid Omega was affected and rendered unconscious. Anole witnessed how janitor Toad used his elongated tongue to save the telepathic student from falling to his death.

(X-Men Legacy I#266) - Anole and other students watched the Avengers talk with Rogue and Kitty Pryde in front of the school.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#10) - Husk's class was interrupted when Anole and several other students noticed the sudden arrival of Cyclops, Emma Frost and Magik who were presently at war with the Avengers. With their noses pushed up against the window, the students watched as Wolverine sent Krakoa after Cyclops who'd come to the Jean Grey School in the hopes of finding some common ground with their former teammates.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#11) - Aware of the ongoing fight between the Avengers and the X-Men students Anole, Oya and Rockslide couldn't exactly pay attention to Pryde's class and watched Iceman fight the Red Hulk on a tablet.

(Wolverine II#306) - Anole, Genesis and Doop were seen on the school's front lawn while Kitty Pryde met with Agent Wells.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#14) - With most of the school's teachers off fighting in the war between the Avengers and the X-Men fourth period was overrun by the little Bamfs shouting they didn't need education while Anole and the other students ducked for cover. Sometime later that day Anole attended an impromptu class by Toad, learning them his tongue-based fighting technique. However the class was interrupted when the Phoenix-imbued Colossus came to return his date Kitty Pryde.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#15) - Anole witnessed the arrival of the students who'd remained on Utopia after the schism. He was later seen in class laughing with his friend Rockslide while Kid Gladiator secretly took off to return to Shi'ar space.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#17) - Anole was in class when Pryde decided to continue reading of the Xavier family journals, previously left off in the year 1652. Some days later in between classes Anole was chatting with his friends finding Doop sleeping in front of the lockers, wearing Wolverine's costume.

(Avengers Academy I#38) - Anole participated in the inaugural flag football game between Avengers Academy and the X-Men's Jean Grey School. By majority vote, powers were allowed, but not in any way that could harm opponents, if any would use unnecessary roughness they would be disqualified. However, Wolverine planned to get all of the teachers kicked out as fast as possible, figuring it would help the students bond more easily. Quickly realizing Anole was one of the X-Men's best field players and in fact a gay boy the Avengers Academy decided Striker had to line up with Anole. Seeing the somewhat insecure teenager Anole had a talk with him, guessing he was most likely the only gay kid in his class, realizing Anole was gay as well the two had a conversation. Anole noted his classmates meant well and once they would figure out what his type was they might even help him meet a nice guy. The conversation, however, had distracted Striker long enough so Anole could intercept the ball and score. Later that day while the teachers tried to enjoy themselves Mettle and Hazmat joined Rockslide and Anole to tell them they were glad their family was as crazy as their own.

(Uncanny Avengers I#1) - Anole was present during the funeral services for Charles Xavier who had been killed by the Phoenix-possessed Cyclops.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#18) - While the X-Men and Avengers had joined forces to deal with Cyclops, the last of the Phoenix Five, the students of the Jean Grey School were distracted with a school dance. Anole was present at the school dance but seemed more interested in the food. Sometime later the X-Men and Avengers successfully defeated Cyclops, with the Phoenix dispersed new mutants suddenly began to reappear on Earth.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#19) - Having followed Warren Worthington's a.p. economics class Anole was chosen alongside Bling!, Blindfold and Armor to replace the board of directors of Worthington Industries. However, Worthington's lawyer Matt Murdock was shocked by this strange move and most likely put a stop to it.

(X-Men: Legacy I#275) - Anole and a group of students returned from a field trip with their teachers Beast, Frenzy and Gambit.

(Wolverine and the X-Men I#21) - Anole and his classmates were having fun in their classroom while all of the teaching staff was absent, unaware they had been taken prisoner by the Frankenstein Monster and his Murder Circus.

(All-New X-Men I#2) - Anole attended Wolverine's class on how to defeat a ninja master. Halfway through his instruction, Logan picked up a familiar scent and took off, telling the class to talk amongst themselves so he could deal with it. The scent Wolverine had picked up were in fact the original team of X-Men plucked from the past by Beast to ask them for their help to stop Cyclops from committing mutant genocide.

(All-New X-Men I#5) - Anole and others students were shocked at the sight of the young time-displaced X-Men, especially Cyclops who they had come to see as their adversary. While the students were standing around the young X-Men decided to stay in the past in the hopes of putting things right.

(All-New X-Men I#6) - Anole was seen having lunch at the school's cafeteria when the time-displaced young Cyclops entered the cafeteria. Mere moments later Wolverine ran off cussing, having sensed the young Cyclops stole his motorcycle.

(X-Men: Legacy II#6) - When the Jean Grey School came under attack by the Dire Wraiths who'd been conjured up by Legion, Anole decided to help the X-Men in their fight against the hostile aliens. But when the aliens suddenly disappeared the X-Men heard the shouting of the young student Sojobo-Tengu (who was possessed/replaced by Blindfold's brother Luca Aldine). Sojobo told Anole and the X-Men he thought Legion had tried to kill his sister Karasu-Tengu. Anole helped the X-Men in their fight. Cyclops gave the mutants some time to consider his offer, promising he would return later that day.

To prove this, Raven infiltrated the Jean Grey School for Gifted Youngsters and followed Anole and Trance who were walking across the hallway. Just then she dropped her disguise so the security cameras would catch her after which she quickly escaped. A still taken from the security footage was then sent to Wolverine.

(Wolverine V#9 - BTS) - Wolverine returned to the school to discuss the footage of Mystique wielding a sword behind Anole and Trance. They concluded Wolverine had to stay behind. Wolverine, however realized Mystique was wielding the sword she'd stolen from him and decided to go and find the shapeshifter.

(X-Men: Legacy II#15) - Anole and the entire staff and student body of the Jean Grey School were shocked when the windows of the school were suddenly destroyed. (Wolverine and the X-Men II#2 (fb) - BTS) - After all the videoscreens inside the Jean Grey School mysteriously broadcasted a message from the Phoenix Corporation calling people to rise up Storm reached out to Anole. The headmistress of the Jean Grey School asked if he could use the Worthington resources to investigate the Phoenix Corporation.

(Wolverine and the X-Men II#2) - Anole appeared as a holographic image before Storm and Wolverine to discuss his findings. Although Anole couldn't explain why an organization the size and scale of the Phoenix Corporation could simply appear from thin air he did learn their location; the nation state of San Lorenzo. The site had been ravaged during the Avengers' battle with the Phoenix Five, and although it should've taken decades to rebuild it was fixed overnight. Believing he would one day become the Phoenix, Quentin Quire set out to see the Phoenix Corporation.

(X-Men IV#13/2) - After Sprite (Jia Jing) and Primal (Teon Macik) had been mortally wounded by the Future, Hellion called upon Anole, Rockslide and Broo. Hellion planned to petition to form their own official team of X-Men, believing they needed to step up their game he led his future X-Men team to a Danger Room session. Anole and the others suddenly found themselves in a weapons training sim Hellion had hacked into which belonged to Psylocke, which they were unaware of at the time. The group found themselves opposite an army of thousands of soldiers. First, Hellion sent Rockslide to fight five of the horsemen but after the rock-like mutant was defeated Psylocke appeared, claiming they were in fact in her training program.

(X-Men IV#14/2) - Shocked his friend would hack into the training program of an X-Man, Anole yelled at Hellion who was taken aside by Psylocke. The telepathic X-Man whispered in Hellion's ear that if he wanted to prove they had what it took to become an X-Man he now had to lead his people. Believing in his leadership qualities Hellion ordered Anole to get in close and fight the soldiers while they would reposition their cannon. Psylocke, Hellion and Broo watched as Anole successfully took out dozens of soldiers while Psylocke noted Anole was a born fighter. Next up was Hellion himself who attacked the soldiers.

(X-Men IV#15/2) - Hellion used the full extent of his abilities to tear through the army of soldiers, noticing Hellion was clearly overdoing it Anole pleaded he'd turn it down. Both students, however, failed to realize one of the soldiers was about to kill Hellion from behind. Psylocke used her powers to defeat the soldiers, saving Hellions life after which she turned the Danger Room program off. Psylocke then made a shocking reveal, the soldier she shot was in fact her boyfriend, believing her digital romance was the talk of the school, Rockslide noting they thought it was an urban legend. The X-Man went on to explain that there were no Danger Room safeties in real life and no school of mutants ready to back them up, just their friends by your side. Psylocke concluded she'd deemed the students ready to join them fight the Future.

(X-Men IV#16/1) - Anole and the students had already gathered, ready to join the X-Men to fight the Future when they were joined by Sprite and Primal who'd just recovered from their injuries. Psylocke then went up to the students and explained there wouldn't be a "b" team since the student body was hit, the student body would be part of the response.

(X-Men IV#16/2) - While most of the students were ordered to look after the school Psylocke took with her a small team consisting of Anole, Rockslide and Hellion. Having reached the Adirondacks the small strike team easily defeated the Future's men. Psylocke signaled Storm's team after which she told the three students they were superb.

(X-Men IV#17) - Psylocke's team was quickly joined by Storm's who'd brought her daughter Kymera from an alternate reality, who in turn had brought baby Shogo figuring he had a part to play since he was of the Future's bloodline. In a strange turn of events Kymera used her razor-sharp nails to make a small incision in baby Shogo's thumb and rubbed the blood on the plants surrounding the Future's mansion. Because of the common DNA the Future's "bloodline-system" was rebooted and even killed the man, thus allowing Jubilee to escape. With Jubilee returned Anole and the X-Men returned home.

(Nightcrawler IV#1) - Anole was present when Nightcrawler arrived at the Jean Grey School after his recent resurrection. Several students like Mercury, Genesis and Eye-Boy were surprised to see the X-Man while one of the newer students Sprite thought he creeped her out.

But when the time had come to meet Noam in Chelsea Anole was afraid his lizard-like appearance would turn the boy off. And upon arriving early at the restaurant, Anole chose to camouflage himself so nobody could see him. Even after Noam arrived and sat down at their table Anole still kept himself invisible, scared to get hurt.

(Amazing X-Men II#13) - After 45 minutes Noam decided to give up and left the restaurant after which Anole immediately dropped his camouflage, shocking most of the restaurant's customers. But just as he dropped his camouflage another mutant noticed his presence, Lady Mastermind. Thinking she could have some fun Lady Mastermind decided to go and terrorize the mutant teenager. Unaware of the upcoming danger Anole left the restaurant and called his best friend Rockslide and explained he'd blown the date, Rockslide immediately checked the guy's instagram to see he'd already posted the mopiest picture of a tree ever. Just then Northstar bursted into Rockslide's room, looking for Anole, Rockslide was quick to respond Anole was on a hot date, thus revealing where he'd been. However, before Anole could even explain what had transpired he suddenly noticed several versions of Noam approaching him (one of Lady Mastermind's illusions). Unaware of what was happening to him Anole was then belittled and bullied by the group of Noams who expressed how disgusted they were with him. Next another illusion appeared, one of Anole himself without the reptilian appearance, the handsome boy took Noam and kissed him, terrorizing Anole that if he'd been luckier in the genetic lottery this date could have worked out for him. Unable to deal with the torture any longer Anole tried to flee in tears, however, just then Northstar and Nightcrawler arrived to save their friend. Seeing the senior X-Men, Lady Mastermind used her abilities to trap both of them in illusions of their own but rather easily escaped them after which Northstar tried to convince Anole all of it was fake. After some moral support from Nightcrawler Anole was able to see through Lady Mastermind's illusions after which he hit her in the face, rendering her unconscious. The following morning Anole was determined to put things right and sought out Noam who was sitting on a park bench. Anole revealed himself to the boy and asked him out on a date, Noam accepted and took his hand as the boys went for a local coffee shop.

(Avengers & X-Men: AXIS I#4) - Anole was present during a assembly at the Jean Grey School where Storm boosted their defeat of the Red Skull who'd defiled the deceased Charles Xavier. She then continued that mutantkind had to take the initiative and strike first in the war humankind had waged on them after they revealed the presence of Apocalypse (a transformed Genesis). Anole and the students were unaware their teachers had been affected by the Red Onslaught's "World War Hate".

(Uncanny X-Men III#31) - After omega-level mutant Matthew Malloy had killed Emma Frost on the front lawn of the Jean Grey School Anole and the other students immediately attacked the mutant. However, Malloy used his powers to destroy the school, killing all present. Tempus (Eva Bell) of Cyclops' New Charles Xavier School for Mutants used her powers to go back in time seeking out the help of Professor X. Together, they managed to make sure Malloy's parents never met.

(Storm III#10) - Anole and several other students witnessed how Storm flew down to the front lawn of the Jean Grey School. Amazed by her appearance, several students waved at her. Later that day Anole also followed Storm's class right before the Jean Grey School came under attack by former student Kenji Uedo who engulfed the school in his living techno-organic flesh.

(Storm III#11) - Anole was one of the many students caught in Kenji's living techno-organic flesh but was eventually saved by Storm.

(Uncanny X-Men I#600) - Anole and the other X-Men were about to stage an intervention for Beast when Dazzler received word the still fugitive Cyclops was spotted in Washington D.C. Instead, they witnessed him deliver a powerful speech to prove to the world they had nothing to fear from mutants.

(Extraordinary X-Men#1) - As the Terrigene mists swept the planet, Storm founded X-Haven, a sanctuary in Limbo to protect mutantkind from the toxic effects of the mists. Anole was among the students who joined them.

(Extraordinary X-Men#3) - With Magik unconscious and unable to defend X-Haven, several limbo demons attacked the mutant sanctuary. Anole, Ernst and Glob Herman joined in fighting the demons off. The three students were surprised when headmistress Storm called them X-Men, ordering them to hold the line. Now joined by their newest recruit Sapna who could apparently talk and bend several demons to her will. The time-displaced young Jean Grey, Old Man Logan of Earth-21923 and a giant Sentinel housing Cerebra also joined the battle.

(Extraordinary X-Men#4) - With the cavalry arrived Anole focused on getting the remaining refugees and mutants to safety. In doing so Anole failed to see one of the demons coming straight at him, only to be rescued at the last moment by Iceman. Thanking the senior X-Men, Anole told him he'd been meaning to talk to him about... stuff (the time-displaced young Iceman had come out as gay) Iceman, however reminded the young boy they were still in the midst of a large scale demon invasion after which Anole fought another demon. Not long after that Forge was able to restore the shield surrounding X-Haven, keeping the demons out.

(Extraordinary X-Men#5 (fb) - BTS) - Anole and the others at X-Haven witnessed Storm's speech on television after she and her new team of X-Men had defeated Mr. Sinister, his new team of Marauders and an Inhuman/Mutant clone of Cyclops. Storm declared mutantkind was not responsible for the M-Pox and the X-Men were nothing like the recently deceased Cyclops who the world had grown to hate and despise. Storm continued she and her X-Men would continue to fight for a world that feared and hated them and offered sanctuary to all mutants and their families at X-Haven. After seeing her impressive speech, Anole checked and saw that many mutants had taken to social media.

(Extraordinary X-Men#5) - Anole, Ernst, Glob Herman, Forge and Cerebra awaited the X-Men's return to X-Haven. Upon their arrival Anole shared his findings prompting Storm to ask the boy if he could reach out to the mutants on social media.

(Extraordinary X-Men#6) - The following morning Anole, Ernst, Glob Herman and Martha Johansson went to check on Nightcrawler who'd previously been imprisoned and tortured by Mr. Sinister. Unable to help his best friend, Colossus was feeling down until Storm suggested it was time to look after some new people who could use his guidance, hinting at Anole and the others. Taking her advice to heart Colossus went up to Anole, Ernst, Glob Herman and Martha Johansson telling them they were in fact X-Men and needed to start acting like it. Glob was quick to respond that even if they were X-Men they never went on any missions, Colossus simply answered their X-Men training would start the following mourning O-Five hundred sharp. Just then Iceman arrived to come and speak with Anole. As the two walked through the mansion Iceman finally came out to Anole as gay, explaining he'd been jealous of the time-displaced young Iceman who'd easily dealt with something he'd been pushing away for years and years. Surprised Iceman had come to him first Anole asked the senior X-Man why him, Iceman revealed he thought Anole always seemed so comfortable with himself. Iceman thanked Anole for helping him coming to terms with his self.

(Extraordinary X-Men#7) - When the X-Men returned from a mission on Weirdworld saving Sunfire and a group of Asian mutants they were greeted by Anole, Ernst and Glob Herman. Anole alarmed the X-Men their teammates Storm and Jean Grey had been lost inside Nightcrawler's mind while trying to help the troubled soul. In the end Storm and Jean Grey successfully reached Nightcrawler and helped restore his sanity.

(Extraordinary X-Men#8/1) - Anole, Ernst and Glob Herman were seen training in the Danger Room under Colossus' guidance. Later that day Forge and Cerebra were alarmed by the sudden manifestation of six hundred new mutants suddenly appearing in Tokyo. With most of the X-Men occupied on missions elsewhere Colossus proposed to take his young mutants in training. Believing there was no sign of danger Storm approved of his plan. After preparing the team Colossus and Cerebra took Anole, Glob Herman, Ernst and Martha Johansson with them to downtown Tokyo at the Shibuya crossing where they were met by masses of adoring fans. Anole immediately told Glob to act cool, surprised to see humans who didn't hate mutants while waving at them. His time to shine was cut short as Cerebra grabbed Colossus and the youngster and brought them to an abandoned warehouse where she'd located the six hundred new mutants. Upon entering the warehouse the group was shocked to see not six hundred mutants but the extradimensional Sugar Man working on an orb-like machine. Sugar Man immediately attacked the X-Men but was smashed into a wall by Colossus after which Cerebra took on the villain. Anole and the others were more worried about Sugar Man's orb-like device as it was in fact an ark filled with six hundred "perfect" mutant embryos which he was about to send into the future where they could grow into the next generation of mutants with Sugar Man as their master. While Sugar Man fought Cerebra the ark was activated, trapping Anole, Ernst, Martha Johansson, Glob and Colossus in it's pull sending them into approximately a thousand years into the future (Reality-16558).

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 1 on Omega World - Anole, Ernst, Martha Johansson, Glob and Colossus suddenly found themselves in the middle of a desert with the ark still intact. Trying to make sense of what had happened to them Glob Herman noticed a giant metal door floating in the middle of the desert while Ernst noticed something more pressing...a giant Pyramide with the face of Apocalypse on it! Upon investigating the Pyramide No-Girl picked up bad thoughts and learned all mutants were gone in the future after which the Horsemen of the Apocalypse appeared consisting of future versions of Deadpool, Man-Thing and the Venom symbiote. Sensing the ark was full of mutant embryos the Horsemen immediately attacked the young X-Men. Whilst fending off the Horsemen, Colossus ordered his X-Men-in-training to escape and keep the ark safe but just as they did Anole was grabbed by the fourth Horsemen: Moon Knight. Colossus successfully rescued Anole, allowing the young mutants to escape through the giant floating door, leaving Colossus behind. Entering the door Anole and the others found themselves overseeing several giant floating worlds prompting the mutants to wonder where they were.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 6 on Omega World - Anole and the others arrived in Magika, one of the bubble-worlds and domain to the Scarlet Queen. There they came across a small red goblin who introduced himself to the group as Moogum. Moogum was quick to reveal mutantkind had disappeared from the world after which he offered his help in exchange to help and find him dinner, bluntly unaware Moogum clearly wanted to snack on the mutant teenagers. Upon showing the teens the way Moogum quickly transformed into a big monster and tried to eat them, although Anole and the others managed to escape No-Girl's glass orb was partly destroyed.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 28 on Omega World - Anole and the others found themselves on the bubble-world of Atlantis. Crossing the ocean on a raft the group was concerned with No-Girl's wellbeing since Ernst could barely hear her thoughts any more after their encounter with Moogum. Sure he would never return home Anole commented he could never ask Striker out on a date anymore.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 68 on Omega World - The group arrived in a technology-based bubble-world where they were greeted by the Stark-Self. The Stark-Self explained that their "father" Stark had died but built the Stark-Self to live on, but when it learned Anole and the others were mutants they concluded they had to be destroyed otherwise risking Apocalypse's wrath. With tears in his eyes Anole pleaded to the Stark-Self why no one could just help them, upon explaining the history of Omega World it was decided they would help them and summoned the Machine Men. The Machine Men then built a new large tentacled suit for No-Girl in which she could recover.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 123 on Omega World - Anole and the others found themselves on a safari-like world were they complained about No-Girl's fast pace due to her new body. No-Girl told the group to keep up, possibly keeping them save from danger that lurked from behind.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 208 on Omega World - While on a volcano-like world Anole and the others were attacked by a towering dragon-like creature. Anole was seriously injured when the "dragon" engulfed the group in flames causing Anole to regenerate most of his upper body. Anole's regeneration gave him another superhumanly strong arm and upper body.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 272 on Omega World - Anole and the others were trapped in a spider-like web where the group was attacked by a giant spider. Anole and No-Girl successfully killed the mighty beast prompting Glob Herman to comment his "kick-ass new dragon bod" came in handy. Anole, however, was less than pleased about being burned alive.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 300 on Omega World - Hoping to get help from the Inhumans Anole and the others traveled to their world. But seeing the mutants the Inhumans immediately attacked the young X-Men who tried to escape them.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 352 on Omega World - Anole and the others reached a New York-like world which was home to the Moloids. While exploring the world Glob asked Anole if he knew what Jean Grey was doing right now, realizing Glob was smitten with the time-displaced Jean he commented she was probably writing about him in her diary.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Day 361 on Omega World - Still in the Moloids' domain the group was attacked by the blood thirsty Moloids. While fighting them, Anole was enraged at the fact the Mole Men had survived over mutantkind. Once the group had defeated the last of the Moloids the group realized that even in the very last world there still weren't any mutants, no people and nowhere left to hide.

(Extraordinary X-Men#8/1) - After spending an entire year in the future Anole and his friends were surprised when the full team of X-Men from their own time arrived to come and find them. Ecstatic to finally see the X-Men again Anole was quick to comment how happy he was to see them while the X-Men were shocked to see how their former students had transformed.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Jean used her telepathic abilities to read the minds of Anole, Glob Herman, No-Girl and Ernst to see what had happened to them in the past year. She then made sure the other X-Men also witnessed their story.

(Extraordinary X-Men#8/1) - But before both groups could talk about the events that led to the current situation Cerebra was attacked by the Horsemen of the Apocalypse with newest addition Colossus as War.

(Extraordinary X-Men#9) - Anole and his group joined the X-Men in their fight against the Horsemen of the Apocalypse realizing they had come to steal the ark.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#10) - Anole and the X-Men were unable to stop Colossus and the Horsemen of the Apocalypse from stealing the ark. It was then decided they would go and locate Apocalypse to save the ark with the six hundred "perfect" mutant embryos. Anole and his group showed the X-Men the way across the corpse of Galactus where they were once again attacked by the Moloids. Jean Grey easily defeated the Mole Men after which they reached Apocalypse's desert land where the Horsemen had been waiting for the X-Men and used the Venom symbiote to take control of Wolverine.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#11) - During the ongoing fight Anole and Glob Herman teamed-up to fight Colossus but were easily taken out after which Ernst got some serious blows in. She, however, was then still defeated by Colossus. Meanwhile Storm and Nightcrawler had left the group to search for Apocalypse and after finding the man they learned he himself was physically bound to Omega World, acting as the world's heart. However, when Nightcrawler learned Apocalypse had destroyed the arc, killing the six hundred mutant embryos, he pierced the villain's chest with his swords. As soon as Apocalypse fell to his knees the temple around them began to crumble, without Apocalypse Omega World would soon cease to exist.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#12) - With Omega World crumbling around them the X-Men were surprised when Magik suddenly teleported in. Easily defeating her possessed brother the group was in for another shocker when Storm and Nightcrawler arrived with a dying Apocalypse. It was then decided the X-Men would take Apocalypse with them to their home believing he was their only shot at transforming Colossus back to normal, Magik agreed and teleported the group back to X-Haven. Next, the group found themselves of X-Haven's front lawn where they were greeted by Forge, but before they could act Apocalypse used his abilities to teleport Colossus away, unbeknownst to the X-Men he was send to the Clan Akkaba in Prague.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#13 - BTS) - After dealing with Clan Akkaba in Prague Iceman and Nightcrawler infiltrated their base in Al-Qasr in Egypt where they found a prophecy of Apocalypse's coming on a wall. The drawing didn't only portray Apocalypse but also Anole and his friends that had been stuck in the "future".

(Extraordinary X-Men I#14 - BTS) - Anole, Glob Herman and No-Girl had travelled to Al-Qasr in Egypt as well, acting as the X-Men's cavalry.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#14) - Just as Iceman and Nightcrawler were about to be killed by the possessed Colossus Anole and his friends bursted into Clan Akkaba's base through the roof.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#15) - Anole, Glob Herman and No-Girl attacked their former teacher and were soon joined by Cerebra who easily grabbed Colossus and teleported back to X-Haven where he was imprisoned next to Apocalypse. Cerebra then returned to Egypt to pick up Anole, Glob Herman, No-Girl and Iceman and brought them back to X-Haven's front lawn where they were greeted by the young Jean Grey. When Jean asked Glob how their surprise attack had gone Anole spoke up, commenting Glob was a beast and practically saved all of them. Moments later Glob was gathering all of his courage to ask Jean out on a date when she suddenly collapsed and started to bleed. Former student Sapna had returned to X-Haven with a legion of demons ready to destroy the X-Men and the school, in reality Sapna had unwillingly become host to the World-Eater, a powerful creature that fed off dimensions. The World-Eater needed a host native to it's desired dimension in order to consume it and set it's sight on Reality-616.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#16) - The X-Men fought Sapna but to no avail until Magik and Storm returned to X-Haven with the Magical Resistance (Anne Tenna, Jack Craw, Enoch, Spectra), survivors of dimensions that the World-Eater had consumed. Unbeknownst to Anole and the others Nightcrawler had persuaded Apocalypse to return Colossus to normal in exchange for his freedom and once Apocalypse had done so Nightcrawler teleported the otherdimensional villain outside and set him free, into the vortex created by the World-Eater, surely destroying Apocalypse. Right after Magik used her soulsword to stab and kill Sapna, thus ending the threat of the World-Eater.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#17) - Some time after the World-Eater's attack the X-Men were about to go to war against the Inhumans over the Terrigene-cloud. Anole was seen talking with Ernst, Glob Herman, No-Girl and the young Jean Grey when they were interrupted by one of the refugees; Alisha Jackson. Jackson's sister Maya was dying from the M-Pox and hoped to see her personal hero Storm as her dying wish. But before Jackson could ask the young mutants she was asked to leave by Jean who noted they were about to go into a meeting with the X-Men. Having had enough Alisha started to scream and cry since nobody was listening to her as her sister was about to die. The young X-Men then helped the girl find Storm who quickly visited the girl's tent. As Maya lay dying Storm appointed her as an honorary member of the X-Men, even giving Maya a codename; Lucid. The girl then died in the company of her family and Storm, Storm then left the tent to speak to all of the mutants on X-Haven (including Anole) explaining why they would go to war against the Inhumans.

(Extraordinary X-Men I#20) - Storm had decided the X-Men and the school should return to Earth and made the necessary preparations. During the last day in Limbo Anole and Glob Herman were seen carrying parts of the refugee encampment. Not much later all of the refugees and students were returned home, leaving only the X-Men and Anole, Glob Herman, No-Girl and Ernst. But before leaving it was decided a search party would be sent to South Dakota to go and locate Cerebra who'd been lost during the war. A team consisting of Old Man Logan, young Jean Grey, Anole, Glob Herman, No-Girl and Ernst travelled to South Dakota where they came under attack from a swarm of Wild Sentinels. Easily defeating the pesky robots the group located Cerebra in an old barn where she revealed to have uploaded her consciousness into an old broken down Sentinel. It was then that No-Girl offered up her future body made by the Omega World's Machine Men as a body for Cerebra. After returning to X-Haven the X-Men played a game of old fashioned baseball.

(X-Men Prime II#1) - Anole was present when Kitty Pryde decided the time had come to show the world again the X-Men were heroes and instead of hiding in another dimension they would return to Earth, more specifically Central Park in New York City. The school was then rechristened the Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach.

(X-Men: Gold II#2) - Anole, Indra and Kid Gladiator were watching the news as the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants had kidnapped the mayor of New York City. Masque took the word and revealed the mayor was a prisoner in the war that has been waged between humans and mutants for decades and they would execute the man within 24 hours. The news then showed an interview with Lydia Nance the heritage initiative director who revealed her goal of mutant deportation, taking to the idea mutants had to stick with their own kind. Baffled by the news feature the boys looked at each other wondering how long it would take to be kicked out of their country.

(X-Men: Gold II#3) - Determined to help the X-Men fight the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and rescue the mayor Anole, Indra, Shark-Girl, No-Girl, Genesis, Rockslide, Armor and Triage suited up in their X-Men costumes and awaited the team in the hangar. Surprised the students would put their lives at risk Kitty explained she appreciated the offer but wanted to keep her students out of combat situations, prompting Rockslide to complain they'd been in plenty of combat situations. Realizing they could use some extra strength Kitty allowed Armor and Rockslide to accompany them on their mission.

(Generation X II#1) - Anole was seen crawling upside down from the ceiling when Glob Herman was showing off his new glasses.

(Weapons of Mutant Destruction: Alpha) - Anole was seen relaxing on the school's front lawn while Kitty Pryde received new intel about a new Weapon X program that was building killer cyborgs sheathed in human skins.

(X-Men: Gold II#5) - Late one evening Anole, Armor, Rockslide and Magma were watching a news report on the fact channel with Lydia Nance. Nance was on another rant about the X-Men, revealing they were seen in the presence of Gambit a known felon with arrest warrants out on him in no less than sixteen different countries. The X-Men were in fact fighting Alpha a Sentinel made out of a self-replicating nanite swarm with artificial intelligence

(Iceman III#3) - Anole joined Glob Herman, Colossus and Iceman as they went to Iceman's family home to help rebuild it after a Purifiers attack. Iceman's father William Drake wasn't happy to see the mutants on his front lawn and quickly went inside the house while Madeline had a heart-to-heart with her son after which Glob Herman wondered if they were off the hook.

(X-Men: Gold II#7) - Anole was seen playing a game of baseball with the X-Men in Central Park. However, the game was halted when the students noticed the sky was turning black. Taking no chances Kitty Pryde ordered the school to be on lockdown, but in doing so trapped the X-Men with mutant killer the X-Cutioner who'd wanted revenge since his son Alex was murdered during "Magneto's" (Kuan-Yin Xorn) attack on Manhattan. Making his way to the school's laundromat Anole was shocked to find Belén, one of the new students dead on the ground. Anole quickly alarmed the X-Men who investigated the girl's corpse who was shot through the head after which an X was carved out of her face. Kitty Pryde then asked Anole to keep the incident a secret until they knew what they were dealing with. Not much later the X-Men found another student, Oscar, dead, X-Cutioner was defeated eventually.

(Generation X II#5) - Anole was seen walking around the school while another student Eye-Boy was nearby freaking out. Eye-Boy felt he was losing control over his mutant abilities which now allowed him to see through the different layers of the human skin.

(Iceman III#4) - Believing one of their new students Amp (Zachary) was missing Kitty Pryde and Iceman asked Anole and Michaela Ladak if they'd seen the student. Ladak was quick to respond she knew what he was up to thanks to social media and showed the teacher a short clip in which he announced to leave Manhattan and would spend his last night in the city's "dopest" spot the Greenwich Mean Time, Iceman decided to investigate.

(Generation X II#6) - Anole attended a class of advanced mutant sexuality by instructor Doop. The lesson was interrupted when Morph (Benjamin Deeds) accidentally stuck his pencils in his eye as the student kept on falling asleep due to late night shenanigans with Kid Omega.

(X-Men: Gold II#13) - Anole was present when the X-Men were playing a game of baseball. The game, however, was interrupted when several golden sphere's descended upon New York. Kitty Pryde quickly ordered the X-Men to break into response teams to help maintain order on the impact sites. Anole joined Storm, Angel, Iceman, Old Man Logan and Moonstar to examine the golden sphere Times Square. But just as Old Man Logan noticed some activity from the sphere all X-Men but Anole and Moonstar were trapped within a force field after which they were teleported away. Mere moments later Anole and Moonstar were in for a shock when all the large billboard signs in Times Square suddenly showed an unlikely fiend; Mojo. Bragging he was responsible for abducting the X-Men, Mojo revealed he was now broadcasting his greatest hits show worldwide.

(X-Men: Gold II#14 (fb) - BTS) - Anole and Eye-Boy tried getting through the force fields without any luck.

(X-Men: Gold II#14) - Unable to help free the X-Men, Anole, Nature Girl and Eye-Boy returned to the school where they watched Mojo's broadcasting.

(Iceman III#7) - Realizing his big bag of sour patch kids was stolen Anole chased the responsible student.

(X-Men: Gold II#16) - Anole came to warn the X-Men off on alert from NASA informing the heroes of incoming extraterrestrial activity. Mere moments later a portal above Central Park was opened by the Dartayus Union hailing from the Negative Zone. The Dartayus Union had come to retrieve Kologoth Antares a former member of Mesmero's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants who was imprisoned at the X-Men's base at the time. Storm ordered Anole to get Colossus after which Rachel contacted Kitty Pryde who informed her friend she was currently with Colossus. Anole then received word pilots from the Alpha Flight space station would come in to deal with the large spaceship who'd entered New York's airspace, the pilots, however, were quickly shot out of the sky. Mere moments later the giant spaceship landed on top of the X-Men's mansion after which it retrieved Kologoth and took several X-Men hostage.

(Generation X I#85) - Anole and Pixie were chatting on the school's front lawn unaware M (Monet St. Croix) possessed by Emplate was following them. She apparently followed Anole inside the mansion where she became visible and attacked Anole and Transonic, rendering them unconscious. Husk, Chamber and Bling! saw the students on the ground but instead of fighting M they decided to get Bling! to safety first.

(Generation X I#87) - Once Emplate was expelled from M's body Anole attended Bling!'s farewell party since she was going home for a while.

(Iceman III#9) - Anole was seen at Iceman's farewell party who planned to move to Los Angeles. The festivities, however, were cut short when Kitty Pryde learned the Purifiers were about to attack the mansion and asked all the party people to move to a nearby bar on behalf of a fake noise complaint, unaware Daken and former student Amp had infiltrated the mansion and set up a fake Purifiers attack. Anole and several other mutants (Glob Herman, Quentin Quire, Nature Girl, the Stepford Cuckoos, Rockslide, Oya, Genesis, Bling!, Eye-Boy, Morph, Hindsight, Doop) had however gathered in the Danger Room to surprise Iceman for his farewell party blatantly unaware of what was going on. Just as the group started to wonder when Iceman would show up Amp used his mutant ability to tamper with the control settings of the Danger Room, starting a dangerous session in the Savage Land that set the students against Sauron and even deactivated their mutant powers.

(Iceman III#10) - While Iceman fought Daken and Michaela Ladak went after Amp the students were still trapped in the Danger Room. Anole and the other students tried escaping Sauron until their full mutant abilities returned. With their powers also came their courage as Anole and all of the students immediately attacked Sauron, most likely defeating the construct. After Daken's defeat the students were released from the Danger Room.

(X-Men: Gold Annual#1/2) - Anole answered the doorbell to see a woman and her young niece Rosie O'Ready looking to meet Storm. Anole told the girls they were off fighting a threat at the Natural History Museum after which he noted that he himself was technically an X-Man. The young Rosie was quick to comment "in your dreams Anole" after which she pulled her aunt away to go and seek Storm at the Natural History Museum.

(X-Men: Gold II#23) - Anole interrupted Iceman's impromptu X-Men team's danger room session to tell them someone at the door had come looking for the X-Men. The man was Simon Lasker who'd previously fought as the new Pyro in Mesmero's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

(Old Man Logan II#39) - Logan's arrival at the Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach hadn't gone unnoticed as he was welcomed by Anole, Rockslide, Glob Herman and Shark-Girl. Explaining he'd come to see Cecilia Reyes, Rockslide was quick to comment Glob Herman was going on a date through the new mutant dating app "Mutant Mingle" Logan congratulated the boy after which he left for the infirmary. While Glob Herman went off for his date Anole, Rockslide and Shark-Girl sat down on the front lawn discussing how his date would go after which they concluded if he could get a date there was still hope for them. Anole and his friends however, were unaware Glob Herman was walking right into a trap from the Purifiers.

(Old Man Logan II#40) - Just when Logan was about to leave Anole and the others saw Glob Herman return from his date. Surprised he'd come back so soon and wearing a long trenchcoat the students failed to realize Herman was in fact wearing a bomb belt created by the Purifiers who forced the boy to go and commit suicide inside the school just to save his date who they threatened to kill. Smelling the explosives Logan tried to stop Glob Herman but was stopped by a giant explosion. Herman, however, had proven to be invulnerable to the bomb that was strapped to his body, the entrance hall, however, had been completely demolished. Anole and the others were shocked to see what had happened while Glob Herman explained he'd made sure no one else was around to get hurt, after which he told Logan about the Purifiers who then arrived on the school's doorstep guns a blazing. Logan quickly ordered Anole to bring all of the students to safety in the Danger Room while he, Reyes, Rockslide, Shark-Girl and Glob Herman fought the Purifiers. Eager to join the fight himself Anole quickly helped the students into the Danger Room after which he returned to the school's entrance to find three of the Purifiers had already made their way inside. Anole joined Glob Herman as they quickly located two of them but were in for a shocker when one of them was in fact the "mutant" date Glob Herman had tried to save. The Purifier was then knocked unconscious by Shark-Girl for breaking his heart. Anole and the others made their way to the Danger Room where the final Purifier had located the students and was about to kill Eye-Boy. Enraged by all they'd put him through Glob Herman jumped the man and hit him unconscious, thus ending the Purifiers threat. Later that day Anole and the other students helped to restore the school's entrance hall.

(Rogue & Gambit I#5) - Anole and Armor piloted the Blackbird to Paraíso in the Atlantic Ocean to help the victims of Lavish (Charmaine) after her defeat at the hands of Rogue and Gambit.

(Astonishing X-Men IV#13) - Anole was watching a news report on what they called "the mutant monster melee in midtown" when mutant "terrorist" Havok had taken it upon himself to stop a giant monster, destroying a building in the process. Havok himself was now in the Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach for his first day as a teacher.

(X-Men: Red#11 - BTS) - After Jean Grey and her team of X-Men had defeated Cassandra Nova they were allowed to speak at the United Nations. Jean used the opportunity to give a speech to celebrate the similarities between human- and mutantkind to that effect she telepathically showed them the faces of several mutants, Anole was one of them.

(X-Men - The Exterminated#1/1) - Hope Summers assembled a team consisting of Anole, Armor, Glob Herman, Nature Girl, Surge and the extradimensional Metus of Earth-4935 for a session in the Danger Room. During the session the team fought multiple versions of Apocalypse. (Anole, suddenly had a tail and the ability to use three tongues at once. It remains to be seen if this was an error or part of the Danger Room's holographic simulation.)

(Merry X-Men Holiday Special#1/7) - Anole was present during the holiday festivities at the Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach when Iceman opted to "play" white elephant for the students to exchange small gifts.

Anole has no known connections to

Mr. and Mrs. Borkowski

Victor's parents, hailed from Fairbury, Illinois. Even after their son manifested his mutant appearance the loving couple had his best interest at heart and had him enrolled at the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters.

Sometime during the semester Mr. and Mrs. Borkowski visited their son during the school's Parents Week. During their visit Victor introduced his parents to his advisor, Karma. Karma assured the Borkowski's Victor was one of her favorite students and promised to sit down with them later to discuss Victor's situation.

Years later once the Xavier Institute had been destroyed in the events known as the Messiah Complex Victor was sent home to Fairbury. At home, his parents soon started treating him as if he'd never went away to Xavier's in the first place. Three months after his return to Fairbury, Victor was at home doing homework at the kitchen table. When his father accidentally dropped his coffee, the sound of the breaking cup caused him to instinctively jump up and attack. His mom intervened before Victor could seriously injure his dad, but he still profusely apologized for the incident. Realizing he was suffering from post traumatic stress, Victor decided to go up to his childhood treehouse to think about what happened.
