History:

(Marvel Atlas#2 - BTS) - Lazaro Kotikash was born in Kenya. In his native Swahili tongue, his codename means "small".

(New X-Men II#12 - BTS) - After Kidogo's mutant powers manifested themselves he travelled to the United States to enroll at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. While at Xavier's, Kidogo was among the students selected to join one of the special training squads mentored by members of the X-Men. He was placed on the Alpha Squadron, which was led by Northstar.

(New X-Men II#4 - BTS) - The Alpha Squadron participated in their first field day assignment against the other Institute's squads: the New Mutants, Hellions, Corsairs, Excelsiors and the Exemplars. It's been unrevealed how the Alpha Squadron faired.

(New X-Men II#12) - Kidogo was seen hanging around Xavier's with DJ (Mark Sheppard) when Laurie Collins learned the boy she liked had an affair with a teacher.

Kidogo mourning

(New X-Men II#13) - After Northstar was killed by Wolverine (mind controlled by the Hand at the time), Kidogo and the other Alpha Squadron members mourned his demise. It was then decided that Karma would take over the Alpha Squadron and Kidogo was present during the announcement. Sometime later, before Northstar's funeral, Kidogo and the other Alpha Squadronners were allowed to view their mentor's memorial statue before the others. They were also present for its official reveal.

(New X-Men II#14) - Kidogo and the Alpha Squadron joined the Paragons squad for a joint training session with Karma. Both groups squabbled over the fact that the Paragons had been eliminated from field day and their mentor Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane) had disappeared after she was caught having an affair with a student. Later, Kidogo and his friends most likely attended the school dance.

(New X-Men Yearbook Special#1) - Kidogo and his fellow Alpha Squadron members posed for a yearbook class picture. In the yearbook Kidogo was voted as having the most ironic powers, he liked to disappear and have the best view and disliked if people would almost step on him when shrunk down.

Comments: Created by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir (writers), Michael Ryan (pencils), Rick Ketcham (inks).

Kidogo looked very similar to Tag of the Hellions squad, although Kidogo has freckles and a lighter skintone.

Although officially unrevealed it's safe to assume Kidogo lost his mutant powers during M-Day. Two weeks after the global depowering, Xavier Institute headmasters Cyclops and Emma Frost decided all depowered students would be safer returning to their homes. The students left on two buses, one of them got blown up by the Reverend Stryker's Purifiers, which killed all the passengers. It's not been revealed which bus Kidogo had boarded.
