History:

(New X-Men II#12 - BTS) - After manifesting their powers, mutant sisters Jessica and Sarah enrolled at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. At the school, the sisters were placed on separate student squads, with Jessica landing a spot on the Paragons team with Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane) as her mentor.

(New X-Men II#10 - BTS / New X-Men II#12 (fb) - BTS) - Preview and her fellow Paragons participated in the second field day. The day was marked by multiple assignments designed to test a potential X-Man's various skills: battling a Hulk construct in the Danger Room, saving a child, solving a crime and stealing an artifact. The New Mutants won the day, with no word how the Paragons did in the overall ranking.

(New X-Men II#12 (fb) - BTS) - The Paragons participated in a danger room session where they had to fight the Hulk, Preview, however had a vision informing her the New Mutants squad would beat the Paragon's time and win. Feeling defeated before the fight had even begun, she watched from the sidelines as her teammates finished the exercise on their own.

Preview depressed

(New X-Men II#12) - During a meeting with their advisor Rahne Sinclair, the group expressed their disappointment that the New Mutants squad had beat them during the Hulk assignment. Rahne tried to give her pupils a much needed peptalk, assuring them that had this been a real fight they would still have saved a lot of innocent lives. Rahne then turned her attention to Jessica, assuring her the future isn't always written in stone so her visions might not necessarily have to come true.

(New X-Men II#14) - Preview and the Paragons squad joined the Alpha Squadron for a joint training session with Karma. Both groups squabbled over the fact that the Paragons had lost during field day and that their mentor miss Sinclair (Wolfsbane) had disappeared after getting caught having an affair with a student. Later, Preview presumably attended the school dance.

(New X-Men Yearbook Special#1) - Alongside her fellow Paragons members and their new advisor Amara Aquilla (Magma), Preview posed for a group photo for the Xavier yearbook. In the yearbook, Preview was voted "biggest drama queen". She liked surprises and disliked the fact there are no surprises.

(House of M#8 - BTS) - Preview was one of the many millions of homo superior who lost their powers when a reality altering spell cast by the Scarlet Witch reduced the number of gene active mutants to a mere 300 worldwide.

Preview depowered

(New X-Men II#20) - After waking up powerless, Preview was surprised to learn she couldn't see the future anymore.

(New Avengers I#17 - BTS) - Preview's mutant energies joined with those of the other depowered mutants, creating the Collective, a massive force presence that ended up killing, among others, most of the members of the Canadian superhero team Alpha Flight.

(New Avengers I#18 - BTS) - SHIELD analyzed the Collective's multiple energy signatures and managed to identify Preview's, along with 50+ other victims of M-Day.

Preview was part of the Xavier's Institute entry in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe HC#13, it was here that it was revealed her first appearance was New X-Men II#12, a similar looking girl could be spotted in issue 5 walking with Loa (Alani Ryan).

Two weeks after the global depowering, Xavier Institute headmasters Cyclops and Emma Frost decided all depowered students would be safer returning to their homes. The students left on two buses, one of them got blown up by the reverend Stryker's Purifiers, which killed all the passengers. In New X-Men II#32 it was revealed that Sarah Vale had died, it's not been revealed if Jessica perished as well.
