Enemies: Death, Grandmaster

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Presumably mobile

First Appearance: Marvel Super-Hero Contest of Champions#1 (June, 1982)

Powers/Abilities: While Captain Universe did not display any superhuman powers, it was probable that she had all of the powers that the Uni-Power normally granted its recipients, such as superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to manipulate cosmic energy for various effects.

History:  (Marvel Super-Hero Contest of Champions#1) - The woman who was the current recipient of the Captain Universe title and the Uni-Power that came with it was transported into space aboard an orbiting athletic stadium by the Grandmaster and Death, who were playing a game against one another for the life of the Elder of the Universe known as the Collector. While in space, Captain Universe met with many of Earth's superheroes.

(Marvel Super-Hero Contest of Champions#2 - BTS) - While four seperate groups of Earth's heroes battled each other on behalf of Death and the Grandmaster, the current wielder of the Uni-Power remained in orbiting athletic stadium in outer space.

(Marvel Super-Hero Contest of Champions#3 - BTS) - Captain Universe remained aboard the orbiting athletic stadium while the remaining battles continued between the champions chosen by Death and the Grandmaster. When the battle were finished, Grandmaster had won the wager and opted to return the Collector to life. Unfortunately, Death drained the life from Grandmaster to restore the Collector and all of Earth's heroes were sent back from whence they were transported. Captain Universe presumably returned to Earth and the Uni-Power left her body towards another recipient.

I apologize for the picture in the profile. I know it doesn't show much of the character's full body, but it was the ONLY pic of this particular Captain Universe. She was only seen in the first issue of Contest of Champions and only on the one panel I took the image from.
