Adams is in a monstrous green body with limited mobility due to his massive bulk. Adams has long arms with sharp claws on the end, multiple wings growing out of his back (though it is unknown if he can fly or not), one red eye, and a bat-like nose. Adams is extremely long-lived, has enhanced strength, and seems to have some ability related to mesmerism. History:
(Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula#1 (fb) ) - A childhood friend of Steve Rogers, Bud Adams stood up for his friend when bullies picked on him at times.

(Ravencroft#4 (fb) ) - Bud got married and had two children with his wife. Steve Rogers, after becoming Captain America, remained friends with him and sometimes had dinner with his family.

(Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula#1 (fb) ) - Eventually, Adams enlisted in the US Army during World War II.

(Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula#1 (fb) / Ravencroft#4 (fb) - both BTS) - After the war, he struggled with his mental health due to PTSD. He was sent to Ravencroft for help. He instead ended up as one of the test subjects for the experiments at the hands of Professor Thorton, who mutated him into a monstrous form, under the supervision of Baron Blood and Dracula.

(Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula#1 (fb) - BTS) - When Mrs. Adams hadn't heard from Bud in some time, she contacted Steve Rogers, who was now secretly Captain America, and asked him to investigate.

(Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula#1 (fb) ) - Captain America and Bucky arrived at Ravencroft, where Bucky soon found Adams in his cell, in a wing labeled "the Unwanted." Bud immediately begged for death. Disillusioned by the inhumane experiments of his colleagues Jonas Ravencroft released the other mutated patients, who attacked the two heroes and his former colleagues. During the ensuing chaos Bucky claimed to Captain America that Bud had been killed.

(Ravencroft#4 (fb) ) - Dracula, Professor Andre Thorton, and Baron Blood were also involved in the experiments on Adams, which involved vampiric transformation.

(Ravencroft#4 (fb) ) - One former patient from Ravencroft used a Cosmic Cube to make the staff and patients of the facility disappear, but Adams and the Unwanted remained.

(Ravencroft#2 (fb) - BTS) - Adams continued to exist in the basements of Ravencroft over the following decades, where he learned more about his powers, including mild mesmerism and extremely long life. Adams took a leadership role over the other mutates in the Ravencroft basement, and they grew to call themselves the Unwanted in time. Decades later, the Kingpin would often toss corpses and enemies through the door labelled "Unwanted," seeking to hide the evidence there, including his former ally Dr. Dodgson. In time, Ravencroft was destroyed, leaving only the basements intact underground, but Adams learned about Kingpin's plans to have the institution rebuilt.

(Ruins of Ravencroft: Sabretooth#1 (fb) - BTS) - Kingpin, Misty Knight, Mr. Fantastic, and John Jameson, who changed to Man-Wolf, were confronted by the Unwanted after passing through their entrance, but the heroes and Kingpin fled, securing the door behind them. Adams planted a telepathic suggestion in Kingpin's mind, ordering him to return to him.

(Ravencroft#2 (fb) ) - When Kingpin returned to Ravencroft and refused to listen to Adams' order to not rebuild Ravencroft, Adams ordered Kingpin to open the door, freeing the mutates within. Kingpin rebuilt the institution, aware that the Unwanted opposed it and that they could now move around freely. Inmates were moved back in and criminals were brought in to staff the building.

(Ravencroft#1) - Adams and the Unwanted monitored the events in Ravencroft, waiting to make their move.

(Ravencroft#3) - Kingpin brought armed guards and employed super-villains, including Moonstone, Taskmaster, Scorpion (in a wheelchair), and Hobgoblin dowo to the basement where Adams, from his throne, used Joseph, a small purple monster with telepathic powers, to make the villains think they were fighting the Unwanted. While they were engaged, Adams ordered the Unwanted to move to the upper levels of Ravencroft.

(Ravencroft#4) - As the Unwanted killed the guards and employees at Ravencroft, Adams saw the prisoners of Ravencroft released, including Man-Bull, Hippo, Doppelganger, Gale, Bushman, Joystick, Webber, Pyromania, Foolkiller, Panda-Mania, Snatcher, Coyote, Conundrum, Will O'the Wisp, Bloodshed, Mr. Hyde, Grizzly, Wild Whip and others, letting them leave Ravencroft. Adams had the Unwanted try and transform John Jameson into one of them, but his Man-Wolf nature was resistant to the vampiric nature of the transformation. Adams explained that the Unwanted's goal was to procure the journal of Jonas Ravencroft, so that he could publicly expose Ravencroft's history and stop it from being rebuilt. Adams then activated a self-destruct that would leave Ravencroft destroyed. Norman Osborn was soon captured as well.

(Ravencroft#5) - Many of the Unwanted were killed by the Punisher and Misty Knight, as Adams tortured Osborn and Jameson, demanding the journal. As the self-destruct timer counted down, Adams revealed that Dr. Ashley Kafka and D-Man were both captured as well, but D-Man was dying, and Adams would save him, turning him into one of the Unwanted, if Jameson gave the journal up. When Jameson said the journal had been lost, Adams savagely beat him. Kingpin killed Joseph, freeing the criminals from hallucination they'd been trapped in, then they overwhelmed the Unwanted, slaughtering many. Jameson changed into Man-Wolf, breaking free and slashing Adam's neck before biting him, then Osborn was freed to deactivate the self-destruct. Adams healed D-Man, but then he was recaptured and returned to the basements to be experimented upon more.
