History: (Amazing Spider-Man III#1/1) - The White Rabbit recruited Panda-Mania into her new animal-themed team, the Menagerie (along with the Hippo and Skein, the latter of whom refused to return to her old Gypsy Moth alias, despite the theme). Together, they stole a fortune in Faberge eggs from an auction house at 49th Street and 6th Avenue. As they escaped into the street, Spider-Man appeared to foil their plot. Panda-Mania and Hippo hefted cars to blockade the street, preventing the cops from following them, but Spider-Man took down the others in rapid succession, leaving only Panda-Mania. As she tried to run away, Spider-Man wrangled her with webbing and webbed her up with her comrades.

(Amazing Spider-Man Annual III#1/1) - Panda-Mania and the Menagerie stole a fortune in gems from the Diamond District - almost more than even Panda-Mania could carry. As they fled from the scene of the crime, they ran right into Spider-Man. In a hurry to return a missing cellphone (long story), Spider-Man punched out Panda-Mania and made quick work of the rest of the Menagerie, leaving them webbed to the street.

SECRET WARS III HAPPENED

(Amazing Spider-Man V#17 (fb) - BTS) - Panda-Mania was among the animal-themed villains captured by Taskmaster and the Black Ant on behalf of Arcade and Kraven the Hunter, then placed inside Central Park after being in stasis for a time.

(Amazing Spider-Man V#17) - Hunter-Bots controlled by Arcade's clients at the Plaza Hotel advanced on the villains in Central Park, including Panda-Mania.

(Amazing Spider-Man V#22) - Panda-Mania and the other villains kept fighting the Hunter-Bots. Panda-Mania was nearly overpowered only moments before the Hunter-Bots were shut off.

(Unstoppable Wasp II#7) - Mockingbird tricked the Menagerie (Hippo, Ox, Panda-Mania, Skein, Squid, Swarm and White Rabbit) to try robbing the guests of Nadia Van Dyne's birthday party. They were in for a surprise and were easily defeated by the numerous heroes attending.

(Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula#1) - After Ravencroft was reconstructed Panda-Mania was one of the super-villains sent to Ravencroft in chains.

(Ravencroft#1) - Panda-Mania was walking around in Ravencroft.

(Ravencroft#4) - Panda-Mania escaped Ravencroft during a mass breakout after they were all released from their cells by Bud Adams and the Unwanted.

Comments: Created by Dan Slott, Humberto Ramos, and Victor Olazaba.

So the panda is not exactly the most fearsome of animals, but it's scarier than a white rabbit or gypsy moth, I guess. Hippos are friggin' terrifying, though.

Profile by Minor Irritant.
