History: (Ms. Marvel I#22) - Sam Adams was a dear friend of Carol Danvers. He went to the surprise Party organized for Carol and enjoyed very much playing the guitar with her.

(Ms. Marvel I#23) - Sam and Carol spent a wonderful night together. First they had dinner, then they attended a show, then a party, then they listened and danced to the music played by Sam's friends Larry and Pierce. They walked and talked a lot, till watching dawn from the Brooklyn Bridge. Eventually Sam brought Carol home and kissed her. She invited him in for breakfast, but it was already too late and he had to work, so he left her.
