Powers/Abilities: Sycamore’s body appeared to be made of a wood-like material, similar to a tree. He can extend root-like structures from his body to an unknown degree. It is unknown whether he possessed any other plant-like abilities, but it was possible that he could draw nutrients by extending his root-like structures into the ground.

History: (X-Force I#129) - Following the death of U-Go Girl, X-Force visited an X-Force training camp in the Mojave Desert to look for new recruits. The various mutants at the training camp competed against one another in hopes that they would gain a place on the actual X-Force team. When X-Force itself first arrived, Sycamore was battling an unnamed mutant that resembled a humanoid ant. Sycamore had extended his root-like structures into the ground and was extending the root-like structures from his fingertips in an attempt to crush the ant-like mutant. The insectoid mutant then used his jaws to bite through Sycamore’s wood-like fingertips, causing Sycamore extreme pain.
