Base of Operations: New Attilan; formerly New York City, New York

First Appearance: Uncanny Inhumans#11 (August, 2016)

Powers/Abilities: After undergoing Terrigenesis, Morris Sackett emerged as a psychic being crackling with green and black energy. In this psychic form, Mosaic can travel by floating through the air at a fast speed (though the speed itself is unknown), and he is both invisible, intangible, and able to fly and float through the air. Able to enter people's minds and access their memories and abilities, Mosaic perceives each person's brain individually, seeing certain memories acutely, others vaguely, and some not at all, but generally in the form of a center space surrounded by squares of memories that he can access individually. People with psychic defenses, like Spider-Man, have been able to block Mosaic from some memories, and some, like Spider-Man and Cyclops, can communicate with Mosaic while he is in their minds, even forming 'anti-bodies' to repel Mosaic, which Mosaic is able to fight off to a limited extent. While in the minds of others, Mosaic can access their skills and abilities (even super-powered ones, including Lockjaw, Spider-Man, Storm, Magneto, and Cyclops) as well, which he sometimes carries with him temporarily after leaving their minds; acquired skills have included Jae Yu's ability to speak Russian, Beto's electrical training, Spider-Man's scientific knowledge, and Cyclops' piloting skills. Mosaic is invisible to most people in his psychic form, with the Human Torch able to see him but only when he is on fire, but Mosaic can show himself to others by putting himself on a particular frequency. Mosaic possesses a special bond with Fife, the first person he inhabited, and Fife is seemingly the only one capable of seeing Mosaic in his psychic form consistently. Mosaic's physical form, which has lain inert but still alive since Terrigenesis, can be hit with electricity, which affects the psychic Mosaic's powers. After he departs the form of someone he has possessed, that person collapses into unconsciousness, generally for around 12 hours unless awakened. Mosaic is unable to possess the same person twice. When Mosaic possessed a Moloid clone, he found himself unable to leave the clone's body until it was killed. Mosaic was once trapped within the mind of an old man with dementia, unable to escape without assistance. Though able to possess non-human forms, like Lockjaw and Elo the Moloid, Morris struggles to make sense of their memories and retain his own identity when doing so. Mosaic is vulnerable to electrical attacks and is unable to penetrate psychic shielding (including Magneto's helmet). It has been implied that Mosaic could have a different type of powers were he able to reconnect to his physical body. Prior to his transformation, Morris was a world-famous and accomplished basketball player.

History:
(Mosaic#5 (fb) - BTS) - When young Morris Sackett showed natural skill toward basketball, his father Mason had Mr. Wallace come and watch him play. Mason privately wondered if the boy was a mutant, and he had Wallace, and the Brand Corporation, run tests on the boy, determining that he was not a mutant.

(Mosaic#1 (fb) - BTS) - Morris Sackett joined the New York Stride professional basketball team, one that had been failing for several years, and he soon shot the team into super stardom, winning five rings in five years and getting MVP each time. He began dating hip hop artist T-Fleek (Tia Fitzgerald), making other players, like Crawford and Kane, jealous.

(Mosaic#2 (fb) - BTS) - In one game, Brick Thomas hit Morris with his elbows.

(Mosaic Prelude#1 (fb) - BTS) - At a party once, Morris met a fan who bragged about being a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and the agent bragged about secret spy hideouts kept around the city, identifying one under a bodega.

(Mosaic#3 (fb) - BTS) - Morris became acquainted with Tia's bodyguard, CC (Candilisa Chang).

(Mosaic#6 (fb) - BTS) - Morris met the Human Torch once in Rio de Janeiro.

(Mosaic#8 (fb) - BTS) - Morris once took Tia on a date to a famous funhouse in France.

(Mosaic#1) - The New York Stride faced off against the Brooklyn Garnets, and Sackett scored the final shot. In front of the cameras, Sackett claimed responsibility for the victory while giving grudging respect to his teammates. Sackett ended the interview when Tia insisted, then Mason gave Morris advice about scoring global endorsements and wooing Tony Stark. After a party, Sackett confided in Tia that he wanted a new life when Crawford (in front of Kane and others) verbally accosted Sackett for his arrogance, causing Morris to argue back about his value. Just then, the Terrigen Mists passed over and Morris was revealed as an Inhuman as he changed into a cocoon.

(Mosaic#1 - BTS) - Mason set up Morris with the best technology to monitor him, including tech from Stark, Wakanda, and Parker Industries. He had scientists monitor him around the clock, led by Dr. Kapany.

(Mosaic#1) - Three weeks later, Mason held a press conference about Morris being missing, as fans, including Fife, gathered to watch. The cocoon soon cracked open and Morris emerged as a psychic being, all black and crackling with green energy. Tia, panicking, hit Morris with an electric prod, sending him reeling from the building, and he crashed into civilian Fife without meaning to, suddenly possessing the boy. Morris saw images of Fife's life, including his mother and video games as well as girls he had crushes on, including Kaley, Chelsea, Sinead, and Portia. Morris struggled to find his own identity within Fife, then he suddenly shifted into another civilian, Jae Yu, who soon fled when the crowd thought he'd done something to Fife. On the subway, Morris shifted into Beto, who was with his friend Pablo, then Beto and Pablo went running back to Angel. Morris used Beto's phone to try and text Tia, who blocked him. When they met up with Angel, Morris sensed Beto's feelings for her and kissed Angel. Morris soon realized that the trio were robbing the Russian mob, and Mosaic used Beto's electrical skills to open a safe. Starting to realize his super-powers and how he could profit off that, Morris stayed in Beto as a Russian mobster rushed in. Beto and Angel ran as Pablo pulled a gun, but the Russian killed him after getting shot once himself. Morris, still able to read Russian due to Jae Yu's skills, helped them get out of the building, but the Russian, Yuri, caught up with them, and shot Beto as Angel escaped.

(Mosaic#2 (fb) - BTS) - Paramedics stabilized Beto as they rushed him to the hospital.

(Mosaic#2) - After passing patient Gerry at the hospital, Beto was worked on by Terry and Chan, as Cap (Kenny Gunning) gave orders, and Morris moved into Cap's form. Cap walked past Sonya Focarile, who was married to Paul, then rushed into the break room to eat, where he soon saw Mason on the news, denying rumors, and Morris heard about Mason being connected to Brand Corporation. Accessing Cap's memories, Morris used him to sneak past Brand's security (including Perkins and Mitchell), and Cap was hit by a taser from another agent. Mason entered with Dr. Kapany and Morris tried calling out to his dad, but multiple agents continued tasing him, causing Morris to abandon Cap's form and fly outside. He went to his own home, where he was shocked to find Fife there in his bed.

(Mosaic#3) - Morris was stunned to realize that Fife could see him. Fife explained that he'd been able to access Morris' memories to access his apartment, then Morris found out he couldn't possess Fife a second time. Just then, Tia entered with CC, who immediately knocked out Fife, thinking him some kind of stalker. As CC called Mr. Busey at Brand to come and pick up Fife, Morris chose not to possess Tia and instead entered CC's body, where he saw her memories: that Mason had conspired with Tia to pretend to love Morris for his career, and that Tia was really in a lesbian relationship with CC. Morris left CC's form, realizing that Tia had never loved him. Wanting to talk to his father, Morris left behind CC, then began jumping from civilian to civilian until he was able to possess Spider-Man.

(Mosaic#4) - Morris struggled to make sense of Spider-Man's complicated memories of super-villains and scientific research. Unable to decipher who Spider-Man really was, Mosaic was shocked when Spider-Man astrally battled him to protect his own secrets. Mosaic took over Spidey's form, promising to let Spidey keep his private life, then he rushed past civilians, including Mike, to his father's apartment building. There, he knocked out security before seeing Mason on the television in a press conference, claiming that Morris was dead.

(Mosaic#5 (fb) - BTS) - Reading many files in Mason's apartment, Morris realized his father had been planning to potentially sell his genetic material to Brand for years, and that he'd been orchestrating Morris' entire career just to get rich.

(Mosaic#5) - Wrestling with memories of the hero's past, Morris guided Spider-Man into breaking into Brand Corporation, where he knocked out agents like Barney, then he saw CC, Fife, and Cap being held in cells. When Garrison Busey hit Morris' husk (the one left behind when he emerged from his Terrigenesis) with electricity, Morris was forced to abandon Spider-Man's form. Morris returned to his own body, and he stood to attack Busey, but he'd been researching Morris' powers (with Fisher and others) and he had armored guards ready to defeat Morris. Morris left his body to possess the technician Fisher, then he woke up Spider-Man, telling him to free the three captives. Morris confronted his father on the roof, then Morris defeated the security agents by possessing them each one at a time, then he possessed Busey himself, using his memories to learn about Upsweep; Morris made Busey blow up a reactor as he blew up the building, then he left Busey's form, determined to shut down the Upsweep program completely. He left Mason behind.

(Mosaic#6) - Mason watched from afar as the building explosion was cleaned up, and Mason was taken by paramedics. He reviewed his memories from Fisher and Busey about Upsweep, realizing they had experiments all over the place, many of which failed. In an attempt to get his body back, Morris possessed the scientist Nikki Dahlgren, who had been sent in by Dr. Stokes to try and secure Morris' body. Dahlgren was with Newman when Lockjaw arrived suddenly, teleporting in, and Morris possessed Lockjaw instead. Lockjaw teleported to multiple locations, including Asgard and the Moon, before landing near Ms. Marvel. Struggling to control the dog's thoughts, Morris ended up in New Attilan, where he rushed past Naja, Flint, Frank McGee, and the Human Torch before he abandoned the dog's form. Human Torch was able to see Morris and they remembered meeting years before, then he introduced them to the Inhumans, including Crystal, Karnak, Grid, Iso, and Medusa. Torch realized he could only see Morris in his flame form, and he helped Morris alter his wavelength so the others could see it. Medusa helped Morris understand his powers, then she gave him the new codename of Mosaic. She assigned Mosaic to possess John Boardman in an effort to gain access to Stark's financials.

(Uncanny Inhumans#11) - Mosaic possessed the driver Derek so he could gain access to Mr. Boardman, an employee of Tony Stark (who had just said goodbye to Norris). Mosaic possessed Boardman, using his body to transfer all of Stark's funds to an offshore account.

(IVX#3) - When New Attilan was taken over by the X-Men, Iso and Inferno had Ms. Marvel gather Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Reader and Forey, Synapse, Quake, Grid, and Mosaic to help take back the city.

(IVX#4) - Reader opened a gateway to Muir Island and sent Mosaic through on a mission. Mosaic passed the X-Men before possessing Magneto and scanning his brain for intel. With his helmet back on, Magneto was able to repel Mosaic, who fled down the hall and ran into some of the teen X-Men.

(All-New X-Men II#18/IVX#4) - Mosaic possessed Cyclops, then stole a ship, using Cyclops' skills to pilot it. Cyclops was trapped in his own mind, where Mosaic communicated with him, explaining what was happening, and Cyclops found that he could access some of Magneto's memories, which Mosaic had pulled with him into Cyclops' brain. He returned to the Inhumans, then he freed Cyclops and gave them intel on the dispersal of the Terrigen Cloud.

(IVX#5) - Iso, Inferno, Grid, Ms. Marvel, Quake, Moon Girl, and Mosaic, with teen Cyclops and Forge, examined the plans for the Terrigen Eater, and Moon Girl improved on the design. Iso made plans to ask for help from Ennilux to make the modified machine, feeling she had no choice. Grid, Mosaic, Ms. Marvel, Quake, and Inferno joined Cyclops in heading to Iceland, where the Terrigen Cloud would hit next, and they were attacked by the X-Men. During the battle, Mosaic possessed Storm.

(IVX#6) - Lockjaw teleported Medusa, Naja, Reader (with Forey), Karnak, Black Bolt, Flint, Frank McGee, and Synapse to Iceland, where they joined with Ms. Marvel, Crystal, Grid, Inferno, Quake, and Mosaic in facing off with the X-Men. Emma seized mental control over some of the Inhumans, forcing them to fight their allies. Naja knocked out Storm, not realizing that Mosaic was possessing her. As the Inhumans began realizing Emma Frost had been manipulating events, Iso, Moon Girl (with Devil Dinosaur), and Forge arrived from Ennilux with a device that would destroy the Terrigen Cloud, as they realized that not doing so would result in the death of all mutants on Earth. Medusa destroyed the Cloud, and Emma Frost was exposed as being behind events. She launched a group of Inhuman-hunting Sentinels and they opened fire on the Ennilux ships, killing many. Medusa was ready to defeat Frost, but Havok turned on her and teleported away with Frost. Medusa delivered the news of the Terrigen destruction to her people, then she abdicated the throne, giving it over to Iso. Iso planned to hold elections.

(Inhumans Prime#1) - Mosaic was among the Inhumans who showed up to help defeat Maximus the Mad and the Unspoken.

(Mosaic#7) - Mosaic stayed with the Inhumans for a time, letting Beast and Iso examine his powers and interacting with the Human Torch and Karnak. Mosaic flirted with Iso. The X-Men soon attacked New Attilan, and Mosaic was overwhelmed by the chaos of the battle. Human Torch yelled that Mosaic wasn't ready for a fight like this, so Mosaic tried to run, but Storm hit him with lightning. His memories scrambled, Mosaic went to visit Fife, who had been dining with Vin, but Fife didn't want to speak to Mosaic and got on a bus. Mosaic possessed a man to talk to Fife, who shouted at him that he was selfish and arrogant, so Mosaic left him behind, and soon spied on a Brand meeting, hearing how they wanted to capture Moloids. Investigating, Mosaic possessed a Moloid, then he found Diablo standing over him.

(Mosaic#8) - Mosaic, trapped in the Moloid, saw Diablo order the Moloids to complete pylon construction, then he noticed the corruption in one (Mosaic) and destroyed all of the Moloids present. Mosaic invisibly followed Diablo and saw him clone more Moloids with a potion, as he ranted about seeking to summon Chthon. Unable to possess Diablo, Mosaic instead possessed the main Moloid, then he found himself overwhelmed by the Moloid's bizarre memories. After considering abandoning the fight, Mosaic saw Diablo expand the Moloid into even more clones. Realizing the Moloid's name was Elo, Mosaic was able to expand his control to all the clones, and he destroyed the pylons, defeating Diablo. Mosaic found Fife again, realizing he was connected to the boy, and he realized that he still needed to deal with Brand and find his body, but he was ready to move forward with his life.

(Mosaic Prelude#1 (fb) - BTS) - Mosaic possessed Amos Trench, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and accessed his memories.

(Mosaic Prelude#1) - "Trench" used his codes to access the S.H.I.E.L.D. substation under the Bodega, then made excuses for being there. Needing particular access codes, Mosaic then possessed Agent Ranzack, leaving Trench's body behind. After accessing the garage, "Ranzack" was confronted by Agent Kris Boyle and others, and Mosaic left Ranzack's form to possess Boyle, and she ordered the others to take Ranzack to the infirmary. Melinda May then entered the room and realized something was off. "Boyle" ran for it, but May pursued her, so Mosaic possessed May. Phil Coulson tried to stop "May" as Mosaic admitted he'd only broken in to steal a flying car and he sped away. After taking the car for a joyride, Mosaic left May's form behind.

(Secret Empire#7 (fb) - BTS) - Hydra took over New Attilan, making it into a detainment camp. To trap Mosaic, they formed him into the body of a senile old man, and Mosaic found himself trapped and unable to leave the man's mind.

(Secret Empire#5) - Black Widow sent her operatives from the Red Room to liberate the old man.

(Secret Empire#6) - The old man woke up.

(Secret Empire#7) - Black Widow coaxed Mosaic out of the old man's mind, and then he used his possession powers to help defeat a Hydra army, rushing through them and leaving many unconscious.

(Secret Warriors II#10) - In New Attilan, Mosaic directed Ms. Marvel toward Inferno's room.

(Secret Warriors II#11) - A large group of Inhumans, including Mosaic, teleported to the Tower of Wisdom to battle Mr. Sinister and the Unhumans. After the battle, Iso had the Tower of Wisdom and Mr. Sinister's Terrigen research destroyed, determining a new future for the Inhumans.

(Marvel Rising II#3) - Mosaic stood with Iso and Frank McGee when the forces of Morgan le Fey attacked New Attilan. They were surprised to see Inferno loyal to her, under a spell. Morgan disappeared for a time and returned with her forces. Iso led the defense with Inhumans, including Emulator, and they were soon joined by Ms. America, Quake, Squirrel Girl, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), and Tippy-Toe. Le Fey soon pressed her attack by activating Treshie the Trash Monster.

(Marvel's Voices#1/9 (fb) - BTS) - Mosaic possessed Director White, of Brand Corp, to get intel on the location of his body. He then possessed a cartographer (a former S.H.I.E.L.D. employee), and then a Future Foundation pilot in order to locate and get to Kathmandu, where he and Fife planned to delve into the ruins of original Attilan to find Mosaic's body.

(Marvel's Voices#1/9) - Mosaic and Fife prepared to enter the ancient Attilan.
