Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Non-Lethal Prototype Spark Rod is a Brand Corporation security device that emits a strong electrical shock when pressed against a target.
History:
(Mosaic I#1) - When Morris Sackett emerged from an Inhuman cocoon while under observation by Brand Corporation scientists, Morris' quasi-girlfriend T-Fleek was frightened by Morris' altered appearance, grabbed a Spark Rod and jabbed Morris with it, causing him pain. Morris fled, becoming the being Mosaic.
(Mosaic I#2) - Garrison Busey caught up to Mosaic as he was possessing Kenny Gunning. After striking Gunning in the back, Garrison made an announcement which Brand Corporation legal required him to make: "You've been shocked by a Brand Corp Non-Lethal Prototype Spark Rod. There will be no permanent damage, but you will feel some discomfort." However, rather than falling unconscious, Mosaic kept Kenny awake and kicked the Spark Rod out of Garrison's hand. Soon two Brand Corporation security guards arrived armed with Spark Rods and they jolted Kenny multiple times until Mosaic was forced to release his control over Kenny's body, leaving Kenny to pass out.
