History:

(Marvel Mangeverse: Avengers Assemble - BTS) - The eternal mutant Apocalypse chose the powerful mutants Archangel, Juggernaut, Sinister and the White Queen to serve as his personal strikeforce, his Horsemen.

(Marvel Mangaverse: Avengers Assemble) - After one of Apocalypse's Phalanx spies learned the Avengers were keeping their secret Iron Avengers machines inside a storage facility somewhere in the Chinese region of Billian, the Horsemen were sent there to claim the devices so he could use them to rid the world of humans.

(Marvel Mangaverse: Avengers Assemble) - The Horsemen arrived at the facility before the Avengers. The White Queen had already boarded one of the four Iron Avenger armors when the heroes showed up. Eager to kill the Avengers, the Horsemen forgot to work as a team and attacked individually. Archangel was defeated by Captain America who used his shield to hit him in the back. Vision lowered his density to enter the Iron Avengers machine and knock out the White Queen. Vision then used the machine to help the Scarlet Witch defeat Sinister before moving on to assist Hawkeye in taking down Juggernaut. Unable to secure victory over the Avengers, the Horsemen quickly fled, much to Apocalypse's annoyance who decided to take matters into his own hands.

Comments: Created by Udon (writer & art).

Due to the Asian specific nature of the Mangaverse reality, it goes without saying that while characters might look similar to their 616 counterparts, they most likely will have distinctly different names, codenames or powers. Therefore we will only list the names when they have been used in the comics.

Traditionally the four horsemen of the apocalypse are known as Famine, Pestilence, War and Death, though this story doesn't refer to the foursome in that way. I personally think Archangel/Death, Juggernaut/War, Sinister/Pestilence, White Queen/Famine.

The White Queen would next appear in X-Men Ronin as part of the Hellfire Club, she'll receive a full profile

Archangel

Real Name: Unrevealed (most likely Warren Worthington III)

Archangel, as as member of Apocalypse's Horsemen, was part of the assault on the Avengers' storage facility hidden in the Billian peak of Guilin, China to steal their Iron Avengers machines. During the fight against the Avengers, Archangel took on Captain America but was quickly defeated when the hero used his shield to hit him in the back. After the other Horsemen had also been defeated, he decided to escape with his fellow Horsemen.

Comments: Unlike his 616-counterpart this Archangel's wings were made of pure energy that was cybernetically generated. He could fire several shard-shaped force blasts from his wings.

Juggernaut

Real Name: Unrevealed (most likely Cain Marko)

Juggernaut, as a member of Apocalypse's Horsemen was part of the assault on the Avengers' storage facility hidden in the Billian peak of Guilin, China to steal their Iron Avengers machines. During the fight against the Avengers, Juggernaut took on Hawkeye. He successfully disarmed the hero and prepared to crush him until he was defeated by Vision who was piloting one of the Iron Avengers machines. Juggernaut decided to escape with his fellow Horsemen.

Comments: It was revealed that the source of Juggernaut's power was his robotic armor that made him virtually unstoppable, seemingly ruling out his connection to Cyttorak.

Sinister

Real Name: Unrevealed (most likely Nathaniel Essex)

Sinister, as a member of Apocalypse's Horsemen, was part of their assault on the Avengers' storage facility hidden in the Billian peak of Guilin, China to steal their Iron Avengers machines. During the fight against the Avengers, Sinister took on Scarlet Witch and appeared immune to her hex powers which only burned off his hair, revealing several mystical tattoos on his head. He was ultimately defeated by Vision who piloted one of the Iron Avengers machines. Overpowered and outgunned, Sinister and the other Horsemen decided to escape.

Comments: Sinister seemed to lead the Horsemen. Sinister's mutant ability was immortality, but he was also a master of the arcane. Like other magic wielders in the Mangaverse like Baron Mordo and Amanda Sefton he had mystical tattoos that empowered him. Sinister has tattoos on his head, usually covered by his hair.
