History:
(Combat Kelly I#21/3) - Bloody Mary led four guerrillas into Able Company's ammo dump and set off explosives inside one of the shacks. As Cookie Novak and other soldiers reacted to the attack, the other guerrillas were killed. A flaming jeep was sent to roll into the ammunition but Cookie blew up the jeep with a grenade before it reached its target. Finally, Bloody Mary sent an orphan child with a torch to set the ammunition ablaze but Cookie tackled the child and stopped her.

As Cookie tended to the orphan, Mary brought more guerrillas and in a few days launched another attack. Cookie ventured out at night to battle the guerrillas and killed Mary's subordinates. Mary managed to ambush Cookie and was about to kill him when the orphan, who had followed Cookie, made a noise which distracted Mary. Cookie overpowered Mary and took her prisoner.

Comments: Created by an unidentified writer (possibly Hank Chapman) and Robert Q. Sale.

All Asian femme fatales owe a great debt to Milton Caniff and his creation, the Dragon Lady, from the newspaper comic strip Terry and the Pirates.

Cookie reacted to Bloody Mary as though she was someone he had met before but that's not the case. Perhaps she was supposed to be the same person as Red Mary?
