First Appearance: Captain Marvel I#50 (May, 1977)

Powers/Abilities: In her humanoid form Doctor Minerva possesses superhuman strength (lifting 10 tons), superhuman stamina, superhuman durability, peak human reflexes, agility and speed. Like all Kree he was adapted to life under higher gravity than Earth's and possessed therefore greater strength on Earth. She can fly at subsonic speed by manipulating gravitons. Her enhanced perception allows her to home in on individuals and energy signatures on a planet-wide radius.

She can temporarily transform at will into a winged 20' monstrosity with fangs, clawed hands and feet. She needs to remain conscious to stay in this form. As the winged monstrosity all her superhuman abilities were multiplied. Her superhuman strength was increased to lifting 70 tons and her skin made her nearly invulnerable to all physical damage. She could fire destructive energy beams from her eyes and easily punch through solid concrete.

She could survive in Earth's atmosphere by employing a special breathing potion and could alter her skin color to Caucasian by using a serum.

She is a gifted bio-geneticist knowledgeable in genetic engineering and procreation. She was trained to pilot Kree starships including her former science cruiser Ananim and operate sophisticated Kree technologies. She sometimes used a Kree uni-beam mounted on her wrist as a weapon. The weapon projected concussive energy beams and laser-like beams generating intense heat. She also utilized a Synaptic Disruptor Gun and a stationary Synaptic Disruptor Ray to render others unconscious. She mutated herself and Captain Atlas utilizing the Kree's Psyche-Magnitron.

History:
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Master Edition#4: Doctor Minerva/Avengers: Roll Call#1: Doctor Minerva) - Minn-Erva was born in Edelix on Kree-Lar, but nothing else is known about her youth. Minn-Erva eventually graduated in bio-genetics at the Kree Science Academy in Vartanos on Kree-Lar.

(Captain Marvel I#52 (fb) - BTS) - While trying to prove the Supreme Intelligence's claim of the Kree's evolutionary dead end wrong, Minn-Erva discovered her gene patterns combined with Mar-Vell's could create superior offspring, which could become the foundation for a line of more evolved Kree. Even though she despised Mar-Vell, she decided to go through with her plan to mate with Mar-Vell for the greater good of the Kree race.

(Captain Marvel I#53 (fb) - BTS) - On Kree-Lar Minerva was known to oppose the war of the Three Galaxies. She hoped proving her theories could save Hala from war and lead the Kree to pursue self-improvement instead of warfare.

(Captain Marvel I#52 (fb) - BTS) - A microchip was implanted in Minerva's head to enable her to mentally control her science cruiser.

(Captain Marvel I#50) - Doctor Minerva observed Captain Marvel flying through Earth's sky while approaching Earth on the Kree's science cruiser Ananim. She had travelled trillions of miles to fulfill her mission for the Kree Empire.

(Captain Marvel I#51) - Orbiting Earth Minerva observed from her ship how Captain Marvel travelled alongside Mercurio to the Fourth Dimension. She was disappointed because she had hoped to consummate her plans that day and be done with Captain Marvel. She hoped he would return soon from his interdimensional travels.

(Captain Marvel I#52 (fb) - BTS) - Searching for an alternate plan Minn-Erva hoped Rick Jones' atomic linkage to Mar-Vell might have altered his genes enough so she could liquefy and extract a chromosome concentrate from his body adequate for her plans to create superior Kree offspring.

(Captain Marvel I#51) - Minerva abducted Rick Jones with her ship in case Captain Marvel didn't return from the Fourth Dimension because his genetic bio-readings showed he was adequate for her plans. She explained to Jones how she would unfortunately have to kill him to serve her purposes.

(Captain Marvel I#52) - Minerva happily informed Rick Jones when Captain Marvel returned from the Fourth Dimension because now she didn't have to kill Jones. She assured Jones Captain Marvel was not in danger to serve her purposes. When Mar-Vell blasted a hole into Minerva's ship, she was already waiting for him in her ship's command chair. She activated a bio-tube to trap Mar-Vell, but he easily broke free and then destroyed her ship's control panel. Mar-Vell demanded answers for Minerva's attempt to kidnap him, but she revealed she was still in full control over her ship and threatened to kill Rick Jones with the ship's metal tentacles if Mar-Vell didn't obey her. She then revealed her discovery that showed the offspring of herself and Mar-Vell could become the foundation plan to mate with Mar-Vell to create a line of superior Kree offspring. She was willing to go through with her plan even though she despised Mar-Vell because he was a traitor and knew he would resist. While Minerva was still explaining why she had abducted Jones as an alternate option she was contacted by the Supreme Science Council's Phae-Dor, who informed her to abandon her project and ordered her to return with Mar-Vell as captive to Kree-Lar. Phae-Dor deemed Minerva unfit to command, overrode her control over her vessel and knocked her out with an energy blast through her screen. While Mar-Vell fought a gigantic energy manifestation controlled by Phae-Dor, Minerva remained unconscious. Mar-Vell defeated Phae-Dor's energy manifestation by destroying Minerva's science cruiser.

(Captain Marvel I#53) - After the military and police were gone Mar-Vell freed the unconscious Minerva from the wreckage of her ship. Minerva considered Mar-Vell a fool for saving her, but Mar-Vell needed her to learn more about the war of the Three Galaxies Phae-Dor had mentioned. Mar-Vell took off with Minerva only to be caught by the Inhuman Royal Family. Former Kree Supreme Science Council member Falzon, who lived with the Inhumans, recognized Minerva and was surprised by her presence on Earth. She revealed her plans to save Hala and her people from war by any means necessary.

(Captain Marvel I#54 - BTS) - Minerva stayed on Earth while Lockjaw, Black Bolt and Captain Marvel took off to face the Kree's Supreme Science Council, convincing them to end their plans for the war of Three Galaxies, by proving them they had been infiltrated by a Skrull posing as council member Por-Bat.

(Captain Marvel I#54 - BTS) - Minn-Erva joined Mac-Ronn and Ronan living on the Wilford farm.

(Captain Marvel I#55) - At the Wilford farm Minerva discussed with Mac-Ronn the childlike Ronan helping Ethan Wilford on the farm. She didn't like him laboring for an Earthling at all and also wondered if Ronan's weapon could be put to other uses while he matured.

(Ms. Marvel I#19) - Elizabeth Wilford and Minerva were sending off Ethan and Mac-Ronn for work in the fields when a lighting bolt from space (courtesy of the Supreme Intelligence, somehow) hit the house. They were both thrown to safety by the blast and though Minerva was knocked out temporarily, she quickly regained consciousness and witnessed Ronan stepping out of the burning rubble. Ronan was not childlike anymore and took off to serve the Supreme Intelligence's will and capture Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel.

(Quasar#10 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva continued her research on humans on Earth and hoped to one day convince Mar-Vell to do his duty for the Kree. When she learned of Mar-Vell's death Minn-Erva was filled with despair.

(Quasar#10 (fb)) - Minn-Erva eventually discovered the Psyche-Magnitron, an experimental device left behind on Earth by the Kree, and used its mutagenic radiation to mutate herself into a superpowered Kree. Realizing she now possessed the genetic potential to save the Kree from stagnation, she contacted the Kree Empire, who sent Captain Atlas to retrieve her. When he arrived on Earth they fell in love with each other and Minn-Erva decided to share her discovery by using the Psyche-Magnitron to mutate him as well making him the most eugenically ideal mate for her to start a line of super-powered Kree.

(Quasar#9) - Minn-Erva and Att-Lass attended the first A.I.M. Weapons Expo on Boca Caliente posing as humans. A.I.M.'s bio-scanners secretly identified them as extraterrestrials.

Claiming to be with a new firm named Xenotech Dr. Minerva and Mr. Atlas hired A.I.M. through Alessandro Brannex to create working replicas of Quasar's Quantum Bands for them. They were willing to pay 100 million dollars per bracelet and Atlas handed over a case filled with money as their down payment.

(Quasar#9 - BTS) - During a board meeting Brannex discussed the contract from their alien clients. It was decided to send MODAM after Quasar to acquire the original Quantum Bands instead of attempting to create replicas.

Following MODAM's failure to steal the Quantum Bands Brannex and the A.I.M. board decided to come up with something to appease their clients or return their down payment to them.

(Quasar#10 - BTS) - Halflife was on her way to meet Captain Atlas and Doctor Minerva in the desert.

(Quasar#10) - Captain Atlas and Doctor Minerva watched from afar as Quasar delivered the captured Halflife to the Vault.

At night Minn-Erva climbed through an open window and abducted Quasar from his home in Connecticut after shooting him with a Synaptic Disruptor Gun while he slept to keep him unconscious for an hour. After handing Quasar over to Att-Lass to carry him, they flew back to their star cruiser. On their way back they discussed the threat posed by the unstable nature of the people of Earth. Att-Lass was sure Minn-Erva's work with the Psyche-Magnitron would make her a celebrated scientist within the Kree Empire, while Minn-Erva was sure the acquisition of the Quantum Bands, prototypes of the Nega-Bands, would earn Att-Lass a promotion. While Att-Lass left for the bridge to get them out of orbit, Minn-Erva used a stationary Synaptic Disruptor Ray to keep Quasar unconscious while she removed the Quantum Bands. Att-Lass returned to the lab and witnessed Minn-Erva fail to to slip the bands off Quasar's arms after using a lubricant on them and when she couldn't even slip a depressor under them she decided to use a laser to sever the forearms above and below the Quantum Bands and then scoop out the organic material afterward. Att-Lass had no interest to see the bloodshed and returned to the bridge. Warned by Eon in his dream of what was happening Quasar subconsciously lashed out at Minn-Erva using the Quantum Bands, knocking her out and destroying the Synaptic Disruptor Ray to regain consciousness. He caught Minn-Erva moments before the ship jumped into hyperspace, then headed for the bridge to oppose the ship's captain. When Att-Lass got accidentally sucked into hyperspace after blowing a hole into the ship's hull, Minn-Erva begged for Quasar's help to save him and explained who she was and what she was up to. She told Quasar about her past attempt to mate with Captain Mar-Vell, how she despaired after his death, how she found the Psyche-Magnitron and used it to mutate herself and later Att-Lass. She also revealed that they sought to steal the Quantum Bands from Quasar to enhance support for Minn-Erva's experiments among the Kree and decided to do it themselves after A.I.M. failed. They found Quasar by homing in on the unique energy signature of the Quantum Bands. Quasar believed Minn-Erva and agreed to save Att-Lass, who was still alive after 10 minutes due to an air supply in his helmet. They headed into hyperspace and Minn-Erva used her heightened power of perception to find Att-Lass floating in hyperspace. Quasar returned with Minn-Erva and Att-Lass to their vessel and made them swear to never return to Earth. After leaving hyperspace Quasar wished Minn-Erva and Att-Lass luck to unlock the hidden potential of the Kree before he returned to Earth.

(Avengers I#347 (fb) - BTS) - During the Kree/Shi'ar War, Minerva supported the Supreme Intelligence's plan to jump-start Kree evolution by detonating a Nega-Bomb in the Kree Empire.

(Quasar#32 (fb) - BTS) - When the Kree went to war with the Shi'ar the Kree Empire sent Minn-Erva and Att-Lass back to the Sol system to retrieve the Nega-Bands from the late Captain Mar-Vell's grave. On their way to Mar-Vell's grave Minn-Erva and Att-Lass accidentally tripped the proximity alarms around Mar-Vell's tomb-world.

(Quasar#32 - BTS) - Att-Lass worked his way through deterrent devices at Mar-Vell's tomb while Minn-Erva watched.

(Quasar#32) - According to Minn-Erva only two or three more deterrent devices were left for Att-Lass to get through. Minn-Erva considered it lucky for them to get to the Nega-Bands so easily, even though Att-Lass considered preserving the body of the dead a waste of resources. Minn-Erva suddenly felt with her seventh sense that someone was approaching only to be caught seconds later alongside Att-Lass in a net created by Quasar's Quantum Bands. Quasar had been come to Starfox's aid to deal with the tomb raiders and was surprised to see Minn-Erva and Att-Lass back in Earth's solar system after their last encounter. Att-Las explained that their agreement had changed since the Kree were now at war with the Shi'ar. A moment later the Imperial Guard attacked Starfox, Quasar, Minn-Erva and Att-Lass. Quasar erected a protective dome and released Minn-Erva and Att-Lass from his net. The Imperial Guard soon broke through the dome and Minn-Erva joined the battle against them armed with an energy shield provided by Quasar. To the surprise of her, Starfox and Quasar almost all of the Imperial Guard members were intangible. Minn-Erva punched through illusions of Moonraker, Voyager and Oracle before finding the true source of the threat with her seventh sense. After knocking out the invisible Magique all other Imperial Guard member aside from Impulse and Manta disappeared. When Starfox complimented Minn-Erva for her actions she simply knocked him out and returned to Mar-Vell's tomb to aid Att-Lass. When Quasar confronted Att-Lass at Mar-Vell's grave Minn-Erva attacked him from behind, but got caught by him in an energy net, which gave Att-Lass the opportunity to put on the Nega-Bands and switch places with Earth's Rick Jones by clanging them together.

(Wonder Man II#7) - Quasar kept Minn-Erva trapped in a light cylinder and took her to Starfox's ship. When Atlas, still unaware of how the Nega-Bands worked, switched places with Jones again Minn-Erva told him to flee again, which he did after realizing he only had to clang together the Nega-Bands to switch places with Jones again. Minn-Erva remained in Quasar's custody and was taken to Avengers Compound on Earth alongside Rick Jones while Wonder Man knocked out Att-Lass in their battle on Earth. Quasar and Captain America failed to find a solution to keep Att-Lass and Minn-Erva imprisoned at Avengers Compound

(Avengers I#345 - BTS) - On Iron Man's request Hank Pym shrunk Minerva, Atlas, Imperial Guard member Warstar and captured Shi'ar warriors down and placed them in a holding box. He took the box with him to Avengers Mansion and Captain America questioned the ethics of the prisoners' treatment by Pym.

(Avengers West Coast#81 (fb) - BTS) - The alien prisoners were transferred to Project: PEGASUS and kept in stasis tubes in their shrunken forms.

(Avengers West Coast#81) - The Avengers guarded the prisoners at Project: PEGASUS. During the shift of Mockingbird and USAgent Imperial Guard members Nightside and Scintilla attacked the facility to free captured Shi'ar warriors and Warstar, but were thwarted by the Avengers (including Doctor Pym, Falcon, Gilgamesh, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman and Wasp).

(Avengers West Coast#81 (fb)) - During the chaos Scintilla freed Att-Lass and Minn-Erva as well, but Minn-Erva was knocked out from behind by Imperial Guard member Shapeshifter, who posed as her afterward to trick Att-Lass into delivering the Nega-Bands to the Shi'ar. The Avengers realized the escape of the two Kree and went after them, but failed to stop their escape in a stolen Shi'ar vessel.

(Avengers West Coast#81 - BTS) - Left behind unconscious in a dark corner Minn-Erva was discovered at Project: PEGASUS by Mockingbird.

(Avengers West Coast#81) - Mockingbird presented her to the other Avengers and Minn-Erva revealed how Att-Lass had fled with someone he believed to be her, but it was actually the Imperial Guardsman Shapeshifter. Minn-Erva offered to help the Avengers find Att-Lass and used her enhanced perception to home in on him. She revealed to the Avengers that he was taken to a Shi'ar Cruiser that was headed for the stargate near Earth's sun. She-Hulk called Quasar to intercept the vessel and retrieve Att-Lass.

(Avengers West Coast#82 (fb) - BTS) - In return for her help the Avengers let Minn-Erva return go.

(Avengers I#347 (fb) - BTS) - The Supreme Intelligence revealed its plans to end the Kree race's evolutionary dead end by detonating a Nega-Bomb in Kree space to Minn-Erva.

(Avengers I#346) - Doctor Minerva joined the Supreme Intelligence's Starforce. The Supreme Intelligence congratulated Captain Atlas and Doctor Minerva on their escape from Earth. Minerva tried to defend Atlas when Shatterax mocked him, but he wanted to fight his own fights. Ultimus calmed down the situation by reminding everyone of what it meant to be a Kree. When the Supreme Intelligence falsely claimed the Avengers, who had actually come to Hala to talk the Kree leaders into ending the war with the Shi'ar, were working with the Shi'ar and planned to assassinate the Kree leaders Ael-Dan and Dar-Benn. The Starforce found the Avengers at the Capitol Citadel and Minerva kicked Captain America in the back after he had knocked out Ultimus with his shield. Crystal buried Atlas and Minerva in the ground when they decided to take down Captain America together. Eventually the Avengers were surrounded by Starforce with nowhere to go. Ael-Dan and Dar-Benn arrived on the scene and were surprised by the unsanctioned Kree heroes including the known hero Att-Lass. They sentenced Starforce and the Avengers to death for the affront of storming the Capitol Citadel. Seconds later both teams got trapped beneath an impenetrable force field by Lilandra's sister Deathbird and were all forced to watch Deathbird assassinate the two Kree leaders. Following the Kree leaders' deaths the Supreme Intelligence appeared on all screens at the Capitol Citadel and destroyed the force field to free both teams. The Supreme Intelligence rallied the Kree against the Shi'ar once more and vowed to retaliate against the Shi'ar by having their Majestrix Lilandra killed by the Starforce with Ronan the Accuser added to their ranks. He ordered Captain Atlas and Doctor Minerva to stay on Hala to guard the captured Avengers.

(Avengers I#347 - BTS) - The Nega-Bomb detonated in Kree space and killed billions of Kree. When the Supreme Intelligence revealed it had plotted the detonation of the Nega-Bomb to lead the Kree out of their evolutionary dead end the Avengers slew it.

(Avengers I#347) - Att-Lass and Minn-Erva were among the few surviving Kree on Hala. Together they confronted the Avengers and while Att-Lass blamed them for the Kree's destruction and attacked Hercules, Minn-Erva was held back by Captain Marvel (Rambeau) and Sersi. When Captain America and Deathbird arrived Att-Lass only saw it as evidence that the Avengers were working with the Shi'ar all along and wouldn't believe Deathbird's claim that the Kree's Supreme Intelligence had orchestrated the detonation of the Nega-Bomb. Captain America reiterated her claim and confronted Minn-Erva about it because he was sure as the lone scientist in Starforce she had known all along, which she confirmed. She considered the sacrifice of so many Kree unfortunate, but necessary because the offspring of the survivors would be the first of a new breed of Kree. Att-Lass called her a traitor and while Minn-Erva pleaded with him to become her mate because their changed DNA would bring forth powerful offspring, Att-Lass pretended he didn't want to live any longer. He saluted the Avengers and asked them to make the Supreme Intelligence pay for its crimes before activating a device in his belt. Minn-Erva jumped at Att-Lass when the device in his belt revealed its true purpose. They both vanished instantly (the Avengers believed they had died)

(Silver Surfer III#79 (fb) - BTS) - Att-Lass actually teleported himself and Minn-Erva to an uninhabited planet. Though Att-Lass couldn't forgive Minn-Erva for her role in the Kree's destruction he eventually admitted the wisdom of it. They planned to start a race of super-powered Kree.

(Silver Surfer III#79) - By pure coincidence the Silver Surfer relaxed on the planet Minn-Erva and Att-Lass now lived on. Minn-Erva found him at a small river and attacked him because she believed he was sent to return them to Hala. Surprised that she was still alive the Surfer defended himself, but was then shot by Att-Lass. When the Surfer proved too powerful for both of them Att-Lass claimed once again he was suicidal and asked the Surfer to end his shameful life. The Surfer spared his life because all life for sacred to him and told Att-Lass to stop blaming himself for what the Supreme Intelligence did. Minn-Erva begged the Surfer to keep their whereabouts secret because she feared if anyone else discovered them Att-Lass would find a way to die in battle. The Surfer promised to keep the secret and left. When he was gone Minn-Erva congratulated Att-Lass on playing the suicidal warrior once again. Alone again they were ready to start their race of super-powered Kree undisturbed.

(Marvel Double Feature...The Avengers/Giant-Man#382/2 (fb) - BTS) - When the size-altering super-villain Goliath (Erik Josten) was accidentally transported to the Kosmos prison world, breaching the wall of the prison, four criminal Kosmosians saw a chance to escape their prison and take revenge on Hank Pym, an enemy of their former ally Pilai. The criminals established a psychic link with Josten and used him to slowly break down the walls of their prison world by transferring the mass of their prison to him and through him to anyone and anything ever influenced by Pym Particles. This included the Kree warriors Doctor Minerva, Captain Atlas and a group of Shi'ar soldiers. The criminal Kosmosians blamed Pym for their current state, which angered the Kree and Shi'ar so much they willingly allied with the Kosmosians to take revenge on Pym. The Kosmosians used "Josten Juice", a unique form of Pym Particles extracted from Josten's body, to revert Minerva, Atlas and the Shi'ar soldiers to their normal size. A Shi'ar sacrificed himself to become a temporary portal to Earth so the others could get over the prison's wall to stop Project: B.I.G. and abduct Dr. Bill Foster.

(Marvel Double Feature...The Avengers/Giant-Man#380/2 (fb) - BTS) - Captain Atlas, Doctor Minerva and two Shi'ar soldiers infiltrated the Project: B.I.G. Compound beneath Death Valley, Nevada because the project threatened the plans of the Kosmosians.

(Marvel Double Feature...The Avengers/Giant-Man#380/2 - BTS) - After Atlas had knocked Bill Foster out, Doctor Minerva injected Foster with a unique strain of Pym Particles extracted from Erik Josten. Even though she followed the procedure as prescribed the "Josten Juice" didn't have the expected effect on Foster and instead of forcing him to grow uncontrollably, shrunk him down to ant-size.

(Marvel Double Feature...The Avengers/Giant-Man#380/2) - In search for the shrunken Bill Foster in Project: B.I.G.'s garden Captain Atlas shot wildly around while blaming Doctor Minerva for Foster's escape. She explained that there was no way she could know that Foster's body would have the opposite reaction of what they expected. She asked Atlas to stop firing blindly at something he couldn't even see, but Atlas' plan was actually to set the garden on fire to prevent Foster from escaping it alive. They talked about their hatred for Pym and how they would ruin him psychologically so he would never learn how close Project: B.I.G. was to ruining the master plan (of the Kosmosians). Minerva urged Atlas not to endanger their lives and Atlas ordered one of the Shi'ar soldier to open a portal for them. The Shi'ar soldier sacrificed his life to become the portal back to Kosmos through which Minerva, Atlas and the other Shi'ar soldier escaped.

(Marvel Double Feature...The Avengers/Giant-Man#382/2 - BTS) - After Pym thwarted the plot of the criminal Kosmosians he removed all traces of Pym Particles from Minerva, Atlas and the surviving Shi'ar soldiers. He hoped this was enough to convince them that he was not their enemy.

(Annihilation: Ronan#1 (fb) - BTS) - The members of Starforce were branded defectors when the Kree Empire later regained its autonomy from the Shi'ar and forced to leave the Kree Empire.

(Amazing Spider-Man IV#7 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva continued experimenting on herself on Earth.

(Amazing Spider-Man IV#8 (fb) - BTS) - Using Inhuman DNA she had harvested altered her DNA enough to enable her to transform into a powerful, giant, monstrous form at will at any time.

(Amazing Spider-Man IV#7 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva bought a van (see comments) and hired a crew of henchmen including Clayton Cole (the former super-villain Clash).

(Amazing Spider-Man IV#7) - Minn-Erva's crew stole an Inhuman Terrigenesis cocoon from St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Confronted by the NYPD Doctor Minerva protected her men and the cocoon by deflecting the officers' bullets and hurling their cars out of the way. Doctor Minerva then flew after the van her crew was transporting the cocoon in.

When Ms. Marvel (Khan) was informed about a villain sporting Ms. Marvel (Danvers)'s old costume she went after her and intercepted Minn-Erva and the van by stomping on Minn-Erva and punching the van, tipping it over in the process. Upon ripping open the van Ms. Marvel discovered the cocoon, but Doctor Minerva was already on her feet again and hit Ms. Marvel as hard as she could. Spider-Man caught Ms. Marvel and they decided to join forces against the villains. Meanwhile Doctor Minerva asked her crew to check if the cocoon was damaged, but the subject inside the cocoon was still undergoing Terrigenesis and remained uninjured. Doctor Minerva flipped over the van to get it back on his wheels and ordered her crew to get the cocoon to the rendezvous point while she took care of Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel. Confronted by the heroic duo Doctor Minerva revealed how she hoped to use the genes of newly transformed Inhumans to graft them onto a new race of Kree super-soldiers. Fortunately for herself her experiments on herself had already turned her into a super-soldier. Doctor Minerva showed off what she had done to herself by transforming into a gigantic winged monstrosity in front of the heroes.

(Amazing Spider-Man IV#8) - Doctor Minerva tried her best to rip the heroes apart in her monster form and hit them with energy blasts from her eyes, but the heroes kept avoiding her attacks. Ms. Marvel slingshot Spider-Man at Doctor Minerva, knocking her out when Spidey kicked her in the head. Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man then worked together to retrieve the cocoon from Minerva's henchmen, but Doctor Minerva was already on her feet again and flew after the heroes. Ms. Marvel grew to Doctor Minerva's size to hold her back while an infant Inhuman hatched from the cocoon. Doctor Minerva demanded they hand over the baby, but Spider-Man tossed the empty cocoon at her to give Ms. Marvel a chance to bring the infant to safety. Doctor Minerva ordered her henchmen to follow Ms. Marvel while she was blinded by the cocoon's remains. While Minerva blasted Spider-Man with another eye beam, her men caught up with Ms. Marvel, but Clayton Cole turned on his former allies to save Ms. Marvel and the infant. The fight between Doctor Minerva and Spider-Man continued, but despite her power she was unable to take the much quicker Spider-Man out. Ms. Marvel, who knew a bit about the Kree, came to the conclusion that Doctor Minerva was not working for the Kree and together with Clayton Cole and Spider-Man confronted her about it. While Doctor Minerva claimed she only used local henchmen to blend in with the natives, Spider-Man pulled off a bluff and faked to contact Avengers Tower via a transmitter in his ear and then the Kree to ask if they knew what Minerva was doing on Earth. Doctor Minerva fled the scene and swore revenge.

SECRET WARS III HAPPENED

(Captain Marvel X#6 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva bought Kree technology on the black market and used it to create a device that served as a biological weapon. She killed a Kree spy in California, who was trailing her.

The spy's superior Captain Bar-Konn informed Alpha Flight's Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) that Minn-Erva, who was considered a traitor by his faction of the Kree Empire, was still on Earth and had recently killed a Kree spy, who had found out that she had completed a biological weapon.

Minn-Erva deployed the device in North Fork, California and it started mutating the townspeople.

(Captain Marvel X#6) - Captain Marvel along with Aurora, Puck and Sasquatch in Alpha Flight's ships went after Minn-Erva, who attacked them in the sky. Minn-Erva hit Captain Marvel hard, then ripped apart Puck's ship, forcing Aurora to save him from falling to his death. Minn-Erva showed some interest in dissecting Sasquatch, but Captain Marvel tackled her to the ground and then asked Aurora to go looking for Minn-Erva's biological weapon. Minn-Erva revealed that she had deployed it hours ago as people around her started to mutate. Captain Marvel asked her to stop it, but Minn-Erva never bother to create an antidote because it only affected humans. After headbutting Danvers Minn-Erva flew off because she had already gathered all the readings she needed. Minn-Erva fled and successfully cloaked herself to avoid being pursued by Aurora while Captain Marvel found and destroyed Minn-Erva's biological weapon.

(Captain Marvel X#7 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva founded the firm Owl Robotics to lease a facility in South Boston with enough space to house a far larger version of her newest biological weapon. She started work on the weapon immediately.

Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) visited the Inhuman Ulysses and asked him for help to find Doctor Minerva. Using his powers he had a vision of a possible future showing humans mutated by a biological weapon in a big city, which Carol Danvers identified as her old hometown Boston. Using this information Danvers searched for recently leased facilities in the area and found out about Owl Robotics, a firm with no business history and no verifiable employees named after the the familiar of the goddess Minerva, which reeked of Doctor Minerva appeasing her own ego.

(Captain Marvel X#7 (fb)) - Captain Marvel attacked Doctor Minerva at her lab while she was still hard at work on the biological weapon. Shocked that Captain Marvel had found her Minn-Erva mutated into her giant monster form to rip Captain Marvel apart, but she had not come by her own and was joined in battle against Doctor Minerva by the Ultimates and Alpha Flight. Doctor Minerva reverted to her original form after she got knocked out by Captain Marvel and Blue Marvel.

(Captain Marvel X#7 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva was extradited to a faction of the Kree Empire allied with Earth to be tried for her crimes. All her research and weapons were confiscated.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva grew enormous kraken-like creatures in her lab.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb)) - Minn-Erva tried to engineer a Kree super-soldier by fusing humans with Kree DNA. She had many volunteers, but they were all failures.

She finally had partial success with Ripley Ryan, who had her human DNA successfully fused to Kree DNA, but gained no powers. Minn-Erva had promised her powers and began searching for a solution to deliver them to her.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva imbued one of the kraken grown in her lab with a biological/nanotech virus that would work like a power siphon on whoever was infected with it. She sent the kraken into battle with Captain Marvel in Manhattan.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb)) - Minn-Erva watched from a nearby rooftop as Captain Marvel fought the kraken and got infected with the virus by the kraken's blood.

(Captain Marvel XII#1 - BTS) - Captain Marvel defeated the kraken with a little help from Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew).

(Captain Marvel XII#9 (fb) - BTS) - Over the following months the virus grew into a power siphon inside Captain Marvel's chest.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb)) - Minn-Erva implanted a receiver in Star that would allow her to absorb energy from Captain Marvel if she was nearby and gain increasingly more powerful superhuman abilities while at the same time it would weaken Captain Marvel.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva learned that Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) was half Kree.

(Captain Marvel XII#8 - BTS) - Three spaceships, which reminded Captain Marvel of the kraken she had previously fought, attacked her in the sky over Manhattan. Captain Marvel took one down and then Star joined the battle. Star took down the second ship while Captain Marvel, weakened by Star's presence, fell into the sea after taking down the third ship. Captain Marvel saved one of the pilots, surprised that it was a Kree. This was all part of Doctor Minerva's plan.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb) - BTS) - Minn-Erva leaked Carol Danvers' Kree heritage to the press and orchestrated a P.R. campaign against her to make her vulnerable.

(Captain Marvel XII#8 - BTS) - Carol Danvers' loyalty to the United States was called into question and she was accused of hiding her heritage. She was dismissed from the U.S. Air Force.

(Captain Marvel XII#8) - Minn-Erva approached Carol Danvers near her family home in Harpswell Sound, Maine. Minn-Erva claimed to have just learned about Carol's Kree heritage and asked Carol for help to save the Kree. Minn-Erva pointed out that it was always her goal to protect the Kree and they shook hands.

(Captain Marvel XII#9 (fb) - BTS) - Carol secretly planted a tracker on Minn-Erva because she didn't trust her.

(Captain Marvel XII#10 (fb) - BTS) - Star turned on Minn-Erva when she learned that Minn-Erva had formed an alliance with Captain Marvel. Star nearly killed her.

(Captain Marvel XII#9 - BTS) - Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) and James Rhodes went looking for Minn-Erva by following the tracker's signal. Though Carol wanted to trust Minn-Erva she quickly learned that she was wrong to do so after finding one of the krakens that had attacked her in Minn-Erva's secret lab. They found the tracker lying on a counter with a note next to it. The creature in the lab awakened and attacked them, but they were saved by the new heroine Star.

At Stark Unlimited Tony Stark examined Carol and found out that she was infected with something that grew inside her.

(Captain Marvel XII#9) - Captain Marvel returned to the sewers of Manhattan to find Minn-Erva and found her badly injured and chained to a wall with a note written next to her by Star (not that Carol knew Star was behind the attack on Minn-Erva at the time).

(Captain Marvel XII#10) - Minn-Erva needed medical attention and was brought to Stark Unlimited by Captain Marvel, who wanted some answers. Tony Stark saved Minn-Erva, who revealed that she was behind Captain Marvel's recent fall from grace. She also told her how she had turned Star into a receiver for Captain Marvel's powers and that she was apparently corrupted by the powers she had gained from being near Captain Marvel. Star had recently turned on Minn-Erva because she felt betrayed. Captain Marvel left to stop Star while Minn-Erva stayed behind at Stark Unlimited to recuperate.

Doctor Minerva has a handbook profile in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Master Edition#4 (1991) and Avengers: Roll Call#1 (June, 2012).

It is unknown if Minn-Erva, who had abandoned Starforce following Operation: Galactic Storm, was actually branded a defector like the rest of Starforce as mentioned in Annihilation: Ronan#1 (June, 2006), but it fits with her next appearance.

In Amazing Spider-Man IV#7 the van Minn-Erva's crew was using had the license plate DRMNRV99. Fun tidbit!

Doctor Minerva was probably named after Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) & Marvel Family villain Aunt Minerva from Captain Marvel Adventures#59 (April, 1946).
