History:
(Weapon X II#5 (fb) - BTS) - Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were mutants with two mutant children, Billy and Wendy. Forced to hide their mutant powers for their own safety, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor insisted that their children only use their powers in times of dire emergency.

(Weapon X II#5) - Surprised by a scream emanating from their children's room, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor came running into the room to learn that their son Billy had scared his sister Wendy with stories of government-controlled monsters that snatch people up in the middle of the night. Mrs. Taylor attempted to comfort Wendy while Mr. Taylor calmly scolded Billy for telling stories that he heard from his friend Brian Smitty at school. As Mr. Taylor reminded Billy that he was smarter than to believe outlandish stories he heard at school, Mrs. Taylor assured Wendy that the stories were nonsense and that there was nothing to be afraid of. At that moment, a trio of government agents of Weapon X (Kane, Sauron and Wildchild) burst into the Taylor home and announced that they would be taken into custody for acts of mutant terrorism. Mr. Taylor insisted that, while they might all be mutants, they were not terrorists but Weapon X was unconvinced, prompting Mr. Taylor to order Mrs. Taylor and their children to make a break for it while he attempted to hold Weapon X off with his mutant powers. Mrs. Taylor did as instructed and ran away with the children but they soon collided with more Weapon X agents (Marrow, Sabretooth and Washout). Reminding the children how they had always been told to use their powers only in dire times, Mrs. Taylor revealed that it was now time to use their powers and the terrified family prepared to use their powers against Weapon X, only to be met by the hypnotizing Mesmero, who forced the family to give up without a fight. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor and their children were then placed in a transport to Weapon X's Neverland internment camp alongside numerous other captured mutants.

Upon arrival at Neverland, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor kept their children close as mutants Diamond Lil and Random attempted to challenge the authority of Neverland's Boxbots, only to be quickly downed by the robots. Another captive, Dr. Cecilia Reyes, warned that any challenge to the authority would be suicide and she informed them all that their powers would not work in Neverland thanks to the powers of the equally captured Leech. The Boxbots then ushered the Taylor family on their way to be questioned. After being questioned by one of the Neverland doctors, Mrs. Taylor and her family were labeled with a green "M" on their hands while others like their new friend Maggott were painted with a red "M." Later, when the captives were introduced to Director Malcolm Colcord, Mr. Taylor asked about those with a red "M," whom Billy Taylor learned had been executed, and when Colcord lied, Mrs. Taylor tried and failed to stop Mr. Taylor from calling Colcord out on his lies. Mr. Taylor was never seen again and Mrs. Taylor and her children were later subject to horrendous experimentation to determine what the camp could about their mutant powers. After one particularly rough experiment session, the weakened Mrs. Taylor was returned to her family and shortly after, Weapon X's Kane and Dr. Windsor (secretly the geneticist Mr. Sinister) offered the captives a chance to end their experiment sessions and leave if they gave themselves completely over to the Weapon X program. Seeing the state Mrs. Taylor was in, her son Billy suggested they think about the program's offer but Mrs. Taylor refused to become a slave to Weapon X, suggesting instead that Dr. Windsor, who had been seemingly helping prisoners escape in secret, would ferry Billy and Wendy out of the camp. Quickly realizing Mrs. Taylor had left herself out, Billy soon learned that Windsor could only take two at a time. Mrs. Taylor insisted he go, assuring Billy that she would follow and meet back up with him and Wendy, and Billy hugged her mother, knowing it would be the last time he would see her. The next morning, as Windsor came to pick up Billy and Wendy, Billy prayed for his mother and father and all that he had lost.

Comments: Created by Frank Tieri, Georges Jeanty and Dexter Vines.

It was never explicitly stated what became of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor though it seemed likely both died. Mr. Taylor was likely killed when he crossed Director Malcolm Colcord and it seemed likely that Mrs. Taylor died from the experiments she was forced to endure at Neverland.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Mrs. Taylor
should be distinguished from:

Mr. Taylor

Mr. Taylor was Mrs. Taylor's husband and father to their children Billy and Wendy. He and Mrs. Taylor raised his children to keep their mutant powers a secret and to only use them in times of dire emergency. Living a typical life, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor and their children were attacked in the middle of the night by agents of the Weapon X organization and taken to the Neverland mutant internment camp. While there, Mr. Taylor learned from his son that those with a red "M" painted on their hands were deemed useless and executed and when Director Malcolm Colcord spoke to the detainees, Mr. Taylor confronted Colcord about the executions. Colcord claimed Taylor was mistaken and suggested they have a private chat about the situation before having Boxbots drag Mr. Taylor away.

Mr. Taylor had the mutant ability to generate a yellow-colored, electric-like energy from his hands.
