History:
(Daredevil VI#6 (fb) - BTS) - As a cop in Chicago, Cole North was top of his class and had an impressive arrest record. Dedicated to stopping crime, North had fought corrupt cops when he had to.

(Daredevil VI#14 (fb) - BTS) - Detective North was chasing a drug dealer when he saw another kid reaching for what North assumed was a weapon but it turned out to be a phone; North shot the sixteen-year-old.

(Daredevil VI#13 (fb) - BTS) - Cole was put on administrative leave and assigned therapy.

(Daredevil VI#2 (fb) - BTS) - North left someone named Anna behind in Chicago.

(Daredevil VI#1 (fb) - BTS) - North transferred to New York City.

(Daredevil VI#2 (fb) - BTS) - North asked for a non-corrupt partner and was assigned Fred Higgins, a mediocre but clean cop who'd recently taken a bullet.

(Daredevil VI#1) - When Pistol Pete Albano was killed, Detectives Tina Deacon and Edward Taylor arrived on scene before North did. Once he was there, he caught the detectives in a lie when they said there were no witnesses, but he found a man who claimed he'd seen Daredevil commit the murder. North promised to turn Deacon and Taylor in, and he nearly came to blows with Taylor before Taylor backed down. Cole later investigated another murder, this one a criminal named Leo Carraro, who was also reportedly killed by Daredevil.

(Daredevil VI#2) - North worked out at the precinct. Later, North and Higgins reviewed Daredevil's denials that he had committed any crimes, then they went to the mayor's office, where they pushed their way into Fisk's office. After questioning Fisk in front of his aid Wesley Welch, North heard Fisk mention Anna, and they left shortly after that. Later, North and Higgins were investigating the Carraro murder when Daredevil suddenly showed up there. Higgins and North drew their guns. Daredevil disarmed Higgins, but North hit the hero with a bullet as he called it in to the station.

(Daredevil VI#3) - Daredevil disarmed North then ran, but he and Higgins gave pursuit. The police closed in, including Bielski and Thompson (who had once seen the Williams family saved by Daredevil), but North realized that they would likely act out of loyalty to the hero, so he boxed Daredevil to a standstill and put the cuffs on him himself. North agreed reluctantly to leave Daredevil's mask on, but soon gunfire erupted and smoke bombs went off, and Punisher knocked out North from behind without North seeing who it was. Punisher then liberated Daredevil.

(Daredevil VI#4) - North woke up to Higgins telling him how Daredevil had escaped with Punisher. Captain Cervantes arrived and censured North for arresting the hero, and for the amount of clean-up it would take from the department. Later, after showering, Cole took a call from Fisk, who commended North's actions before North hung up on him.

(Daredevil VI#6 (fb) - BTS) - North spent two months working cases and staying within the lines, even while other cops despised him for his actions against Daredevil. Cervantes assigned him to go after Spider-Man. During that time, Daredevil stopped fighting crime completely.

(Daredevil VI#6) - Higgins caught North drawing doodles of Daredevil in a book, then Cervantes called North in for a meeting, berating him over his worthlessness since his transfer. Cervantes asked about Spider-Man, and North wondered if he could go after Punisher instead; she dismissed North. After reviewing the Spider-Man case, North walked home but he sensed cops following him so he went into the park, where corrupt cops Elias, Henry, Martinez, Tyler, and Bolton all attacked him, beating him badly before the four dirty cops were killed by Luca Maron, a henchman of the Owl, who was with James Wastrel. The man delivered a message of thanks to North for his help in getting Daredevil to go away.

(Daredevil VI#7) - After getting medical care, North named the men who'd saved him, Luca Maron and James Wastrel, and he heard that Tyler was still alive despite being shot.

(Daredevil VI#8) - North showed up at the home of the Libris crime family, where someone had opened fire, hitting Dante Libris. After things settled down, North interviewed Matt Murdock, who he was surprised to see there, and he showed Matt evidence that the shooter had had a Daredevil mask on at the time.

(Daredevil VI#9) - Cole North was working on tracking down Spider-Man when Murphy, J.T., Hank, and other corrupt cops pulled him into a room to show him a badly beat up Higgins; the cops promised to keep attacking North's loved ones until he left the force.

(Daredevil VI#10) - North visited Higgins in the hospital, telling him that the cops had blamed a criminal for beating Higgins up. At the station, Ramirez asked about Higgins, then Cole heard many cops, including Simons, Janson, Rodriguez, Pratt, Kelly, Jones, Rivera, Garcia, and Breckenridge, getting called away from their desks, interrupting their work with Ms. Landers and others. Simons informed North that Higgins had died in the hospital, then the corrupt cops attacked. North shot Simons and battled the others, and North was shot in the hand during the fight. Daredevil, wearing a white mask, attacked, helping to save Cole's life and to stop Cole from having to kill a cop.

(Daredevil VI#11 (fb) - BTS) - After the fight ended, North filed a report stating he didn't know who had saved him. Cervantes assigned him a new partner, Greene, and they spent several nights in a row with cops pretending to commit crimes, trying to lure Spider-Man into a trap.

(Daredevil VI#14 (fb) - BTS) - Commissioner Taylor gave orders to the cops to stay out of Hell's Kitchen.

(Daredevil VI#11) - Greene and North waited until Spider-Man took the bait, but Spidey easily defeated the cops, then pulled North away for a talk. Spidey webbed North to the wall and talked to him about heroism and super-powers, then he simply let North go an hour later.

(Daredevil VI#13) - Cervantes put North on a two-week leave and instructed him to complete sessions with therapist Dr. Eagland. On his walk home, he saw kids (on their way to meet Janet) knock over a trash can and he physically forced them to apologize. North was then approached by Daredevil, out of costume but still masked.

(Daredevil VI#14) - North had coffee with Daredevil and they argued about justice and responsibility, and North told Daredevil about Taylor's orders regarding Hell's Kitchen. Later, with Green, North went into Hell's Kitchen and made a few arrests, defying orders.

(Daredevil VI#16) - Despite being on leave, North went to the station (where he saw Greene) and demanded from Cervantes that he be allowed to focus on Hell's Kitchen and the Owl. Cervantes refused.

(Daredevil VI#18 (fb) - BTS) - North investigated the order to the police to stay out of Hell's Kitchen, connecting it to billionaires Una and Quinn Stromwyn. He got word that the Owl's men had kidnapped Belle Libris, granddaughter of crime boss Izzy Libris.

(Daredevil VI#18) - North walked into the police station and gave a speech to the officers there, saying a child was missing, and he invited the cops, including Harris, to ignore orders and do the right thing. North was pleased when many did. From the car with Greene, North called Daredevil, then they stormed the office of Butch, finding him with some of Owl's men, including Cutter. Outside, Daredevil showed up, informing North that Belle was in a van heading north. Breaking protocol, North left Greene there and went off with Murdock, chasing down the van. They stopped traffic and cornered the van, and a man exited with a gun to Belle's head, but Daredevil managed to talk the man down, and Belle was released safely.

(Daredevil VI#19) - North and Daredevil drove to Hell's Kitchen, but road blocks stopped anyone from enetering. Greene then informed North over the comms that people were being slaughtered in the Kitchen, so North rushed through the barriers with his car. The car crashed into Stilt-Man's extended leg. After making sure Daredevil was okay, North saw civilians in Daredevil masks battling Crossbones, Bullseye, Bullet, and Rhino, and North rushed in to the fight and punched Bullet in the jaw.

(Daredevil VI#20) - After being punched back by Bullet, North saw a complicated battle break out between Daredevil and the villains, with Typhoid Mary, Mayor Wilson Fisk, and the Owl getting involved. North shot Owl in the shoulder, then, after the battle ended, he saw Daredevil surrender to the authorities for the murder he'd committed months before.

(Daredevil VI#21) - North made sure that the Owl was arrested, publicly accusing him of kidnapping Belle Libris, then Izzy Libris revealed that she'd let her own son Tom die and that he'd been wearing a recording device at the time the Owl murdered him. Daredevil asked North to be the one to take him in to the police station, so North handcuffed him and put him in the squad car, suspecting that Daredevil would try to escape before the hero stated that North had always been right, and Daredevil realized he needed to have consequences for his actions. Foggy Nelson used his car to block them and provided legal counsel for Daredevil. North went with Nelson to District Attorney Ben Hochberg to give him some of Daredevil's stipulations for his arrest. North and Nelson accompanied Daredevil to the courthouse for processing.

(Daredevil VI#30) - After Daredevil was stabbed in prison, Cole North took FBI Agent Kesbeh there to check on him, where Kirsten McDuffie and Foggy Nelson were already. Kesbeh wanted help exposing crimes of prison owner David Deavers, and Daredevil agreed to help, but he turned down Kesbeh's offer for a shorter sentence. Cole later met with Daredevil solo, emphasizing how selfish he was being.

(Daredevil VI#33) - When Daredevil's prison was put on lockdown, North was called in by the police as a consultant, but he admitted he didn't know how to predict Daredevil's actions. Soon Kirsten McDuffie arrived, and Daredevil called for North to be sent in alone. North was ushered in, where he found Daredevil leading a prisoner revolt.

(Daredevil VI#34) - North, in a gas mask, learned that the warden of the prison had been infecting prisoners with a drug called Re-Cid to keep prisoner aggression high. Daredevil, under its influence, fought North, knocking his gas mask off, and North was soon infected as well, fighting back as he told Daredevil about Bullseye’s murders in the city. Soon the guards entered and North was knocked out.

(Daredevil VI#35 - BTS) - North gave intel to McDuffie about the Re-Cid.

(Daredevil VII#3) - Daredevil invited Cole North to journey with him to a foreign island to launch a new era for the Hand, saying he needed Cole's sense of justice. Initially reluctant, Cole promised he'd think about it.

(Daredevil VII#11 (fb)) - Cole met with Deputy Commissioner Mark Brooks to resign from his position, saying he no longer believed in the law, and that he couldn't support a corrupt department.

(Daredevil VII#4) - North flew with Daredevil and Foggy Nelson to the base of the Fist, where they met the other Daredevil (Elektra Natchios). They found a headquarters built, where Stick was training students, and Cole was overwhelmed after meeting Doc Sasquatch. A woman named Smasher flirted with Cole. Soon, Cole began training with the other recruits.

(Daredevil VII#5) - Accepted as member of the new Fist, Cole North realized he now had enhanced abilities, including strength and agility. When he explained it felt unnatural, Daredevil reasoned that all super-heroes who fight evil have enhanced abilities.

(Daredevil VII#6 (fb) - BTS) - Daredevil broke several super-powered criminals out of prison and inducted them into the Hand, and Cole began training with them.

(Daredevil VII#6) - Cole sparred with Fancy Dan.

(Daredevil VII#8) - The Fist went to war with the Hand, and Bullet had been killed and resurrected to serve them. The Hand had captured Lance Cashman, the son of Bullet, and Daredevil tasked Cole with protecting the child, giving him U.S.Agent's shield to protect himself. Cole fought undead warriors and Bullet himself before Agony defeated Bullet. Cole then grabbed Lance and fought his way to safety.

(Daredevil VII#9) - Cole began to doubt in Matt, realizing the war would never end and many would likely die due to his obsession with justice.

(Daredevil VII#10) - As everything about the Fist fell apart, Cole did his best to stay out of the fire.

(Daredevil VII#11) - Cole watched the headquarters of the Fist burn, from a safe distance.

(Daredevil VII#11 - BTS) - Bullet and Stegron helped save Cole. Cole and Daredevil returned to New York, where Daredevil fell into a dark depression.

(Daredevil VII#11) - Cole aggressively pushed Daredevil to get out of bed and fight again.

(Daredevil VII#14 (fb) - BTS) - Foggy opened a legal practice with Cole working as his chief investigator, and they called it Nelson North. With Daredevil now reportedly dead, they both saw him out of the corner of their eyes sometimes.

(Daredevil VII#14) - Foggy took on a new client, Mrs. Singh, and North began investigating the corrupt company Stromco.
