History: (Exiles III#8 (fb)) - Becky Barnes grew up tough in Brooklyn, New York and often got into fights defending others, making it a point to only fight those who had it coming. One day while fighting off four of the Bushwick boys at once outside of a military recruiting station, Becky was seen by the superheroine Captain America, who talked Becky into using her fists against Hitler. Becky soon became Captain America's crimefighting partner, donning a blue and red costume while in action. At first finding the costume goofy, Becky eventually accepted it and came to enjoy busting heads and the laughs that came from her friendship with Captain America.

(Exiles III#8 (fb) - BTS) - Becky Barnes achieved the military rank of sergeant.

(Future Foundation I#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, the consciousness of Rikki Barnes from the Counter-Earth created by Franklin Richards in Reality-616 inhabited the body of Earth-86315's Becky Barnes.

(Future Foundation I#3 (fb)) - Becky Barnes, unaware of Rikki Barnes' consciousness in her body, accompanied Captain America on a mission against monstrous green creatures.

(Exiles III#3) - Preparing for a mission against the Red Skull, Becky Barnes and her allies in the Howling Commandos walked into their hangar to find the reality-hopping Exiles. Becky immediately demanded to know who the Exiles were and what they were doing there but before the Exiles' Blink could properly answer, Becky was drawn to the Exiles' Valkyrie, who insisted the Exiles were there on a valorous mission. Admitting that the Exiles didn't look like Nazis and that Valkyrie was much easier on the eyes than Nazis, Becky was told to leave the Exiles alone by her arriving crimefighting partner, Captain America, who announced that she had been expecting special assistance in their mission against the Red Skull. Not wishing to draw further attention, the Exiles claimed they were the special agents Captain America was expecting and they soon joined Captain America and Becky on a plane to intercept the Red Skull. While on the plane, Becky asked Valkyrie if she could take Valkyrie out dancing, assuming they survived their mission, and Valkyrie accepted the offer, claiming that a battle should be followed by merriment and wooing. Admitting that she didn't understand a word of what Valkyrie was saying, Becky nonetheless remarked that Valkyrie was speaking her lingo. When the Exiles, Howling Commandos, Captain America and Becky arrived at the Red Skull's flying fortress, they stormed the fortress, taking down all of the Red Skull's guards until they faced the Skull himself, who was attempting to drop a nuclear bomb on New York City. Captain America opted to stop the Red Skull by tossing out some dynamite, tipping Blink off that Captain America's mission was a suicide mission, and before the dynamite exploded, Blink teleported Becky and all of the other heroes to the ground with the Skull's nuclear bomb, leaving the Skull himself to face Captain America's dynamite. Their mission successful, Becky immediately asked Valkyrie to go jitterbug and suggested she could find a date for Valkyrie's teammate Iron Lad, provided he liked Irish girls. Becky and Valkyrie then danced to music provided by the Howling Commandos' Gabriel until the Exiles' Wolvie and Iron Lad realized the nuclear bomb was still active. Before Becky or anyone else could do anything about the bomb, it exploded and the Exiles were teleported to another reality by Blink's Tallus device.

(Exiles III#8 (fb) - BTS) - Becky Barnes and Captain America were transported from the very moment of the bomb's detonation by a group of rogue alien Watchers from Reality-616.

(Exiles III#8) - When the rogue Watchers put the Exiles on trial for interfering with realities, they brought out Becky Barnes and Captain America to testify as the Exiles' accomplices. Valkyrie was immediately happy to see Becky and admitted she would lift Becky in her arms if her hands were free, prompting Becky to flirt that there would be time for that later. Valkyrie replied there would be time if they survived the trial but Becky warned against talking like that, commenting that there was no way they were going to let some "flying saucer jerk punch our clocks!" Blink tried to argue that Becky and Captain America were not members of the Exiles but the Watchers claimed that evidence showed otherwise and demanded Becky and Cap give their testimony. After Captain America and Becky Barnes gave their life story leading up to their meeting with the Exiles, the Watchers brought out Earth-18136's King, another so-called accomplice who had once worked with the Exiles in his own reality. The Watchers then deliberated to determine the Exiles' guilt and Blink began coming up with a plan of escape, which Becky and Cap happily agreed to assist with. When the Watchers returned and proclaimed the Exiles guilty, sentencing them to annihilation, the Exiles made their escape and Becky assisted in battling the Watchers until Blink's Tallus teleported them all away.

(Exiles III#9) - Arriving on Earth-38191 in medieval Baghdad, Becky Barnes was forced into the role of Ali Baba's wife with Valkyrie cast in the role of Ali Baba. Unsure of where they were and where the rest of their team was, Becky suggested that she and Valkyrie locate their missing teammates as a passerby greeted them as Ali Baba and his wife. Valkyrie agreed that they needed to find the other Exiles and suggested they do so before unraveling the mystery of why they had been forced into the roles of Earth-38191 natives. An hour later, Becky asked Valkyrie why she seemed so much more downtrodden since their first meeting and Valkyrie revealed that she had lost her steed Elendil and had watched friends fall. Becky admitted that she too had lost all of her friends except Captain America but remarked that she had to keep on living and trying to remain happy, as she could die herself at any moment. Valkyrie replied by stating "a fair point for a fair pair of lips" before they overheard someone yelling. Running up to investigate, Becky and Valkyrie found Captain America battling the Black Cat and her Forty Thieves. Jumping in to assist against the Thieves, Becky was quickly captured and Black Cat had a sorcerous thief, Sayeed, cast a mystic net over Captain America and Valkyrie while she absconded with the captive Becky. While Valkyrie and Captain America's search for Becky led them to regroup with the other Exiles, Becky sweet talked and fought her way out of the clutches of the Forty Thieves and soon reunited with the other Exiles as well, albeit with several bangs and bruises. Valkyrie immediately ran up to Becky and noticed she had been injured but Becky assured Valkyrie that she had done more damage to the Thieves than they had done to her. Becky then flirted that Valkyrie could always kiss and make it better and Valkyrie replied that nothing would please her more before Blink interrupted their flirting to remind them that they still had to find the Exile Nocturne. As Blink talked, her Tallus device activated and teleported Becky and her Exiles teammates to the location of Nocturne, who had been forced into the role of Shahrazad, wife of the evil Caliph Doom. Noticing the Exiles' presence, Caliph Doom accused them of being trespassers and announced that they would face his judgment.

(Exiles III#10) - At first confused at the arrival of Caliph Doom and how Nocturne was involved, Becky and the Exiles were soon drawn into battle against the Caliph when he attacked and ordered their deaths. Becky helped the Exiles battle the swarm of Caliph Doom's Doombots and when the Exiles soon became overwhelmed, a magic carpet appeared before them and Blink teleported Becky and the others aboard the carpet to escape. The carpet eventually deposited them into an oasis, at which point Becky remarked that she didn't understand any of what was happening and that she could use a briefing and a cold brew, not necessarily in that order. When the Black Cat appeared in the oasis, Becky exclaimed that it was time for round two of their fighting but Black Cat and her ally, the sorcerer Hakeem Strange, instead asked for the Exiles' help against Caliph Doom. Reluctantly agreeing to help, the Exiles were led into Black Cat's camp and along the way, Becky warned that she would bust the Black Cat if they were being led into a trap. Before a proper plan against Caliph Doom could be worked out, the Caliph appeared in the oasis with the djinn Mephisto, whom Caliph Doom controlled with the Ring of Solomon. When Caliph Doom agreed to spare the Exiles' lives in exchange for bowing in servitude to him, Becky and Wolvie responded by hurling rocks at the despot. Caliph Doom responded by having Mephisto summon robotic minions and Becky and the Exiles fought them off until Blink teleported Caliph Doom's hand from his body, recovering the Ring of Solomon. Without the Ring of Solomon to control him, Mephisto then turned on Caliph Doom and, their mission completed, Becky and the Exiles prepared to depart from Earth-38191. Before they could teleport away, however, Nocturne decided to stay behind on Earth-38191 to rule peacefully in Caliph Doom's place and Becky was soon transported away with the remaining Exiles after Blink said her goodbyes to Nocturne. Emerging from the Tallus portal back on Earth-616, Becky and the other Exiles found themselves facing the former Exile Khan and another squad of Exiles.

(Exiles III#11) - Blink attempted to work things out with Khan but Khan ordered her Exiles team to attack and during the subsequent battle, Becky aided Captain America against Earth-35429's monstrous Captain. Captain America quickly realized that the Captain was a counterpart of Steve Rogers and became distracted despite Becky's remarks that the Captain didn't seem too friendly. The Captain then charged the two and Captain America appeared to be in shock at seeing Steve Rogers. Becky tried to remind Captain America that the Captain was not the Steve Rogers Captain America had known in her own reality until she was hit by the Captain. Captain America and the other Exiles were soon downed by their counterparts in Khan's team and they were thrown into a pile with the unconscious Becky. The barely conscious Blink managed to teleport Becky and her teammates onto a nearby island to recover and discuss their plan of attack. When Blink realized that Khan's team wasn't trying to kill Blink's team, only capture them, and that Khan might go after those closest to Blink's team, she immediately thought of Sandra, the Earth-616 counterpart of her aunt, and teleported Becky and the other Exiles to Sandra's vacation home in the Bahamas. Finding Khan's Exiles waiting for them with the captive Sandra, Blink's Exiles again leaped into battle against Khan's team and Blink soon suggested they all switch opponents. Becky attempted to fight off Earth-24530's X-2/3rds while Captain America battled Earth-52191's Killmonger. When Killmonger fired on Captain America, Captain America deflected the blast and Becky kicked X-2/3rds into the line of fire, downing X-2/3rds, and Captain America returned the favor by downing Killmonger with her shield. Khan was eventually convinced to give up the fight and her team of Exiles were immediately teleported away by the group of rogue Watchers that had earlier put Blink's Exiles on trial. Becky then asked where Khan's team had been teleported to and Blink decided to get answers directly from the rogue Watchers by confronting them on the Moon.

(Exiles III#12) - Arriving on the Moon via Blink's portal, Becky and the other Exiles confronted the rogue Watchers, who still insisted the Exiles had tampered with realities. When the rogue Watchers claimed that the pathways of timespace were serpentine and unfathomable to such tiny minds, Becky responded that they didn't all have heads the size of Buick. The rogue Watchers then announced that the Exiles had been condemned, prompting to rush at the rogue Watchers in an attack, only to be exiled into torturous realities in which the Exiles were forced to live out their worst nightmares. Becky was sent to Earth-81219, in which she lived a life of domestic servitude with an abusive husband. While Becky fought against such a life, Blink managed to free herself and worked with Iron Lad to free Becky and the others, although Iron Lad was forced to stay behind in his nightmarish reality in order to ensure the others went free. Becky then regrouped with the Exiles and prepared to attack the rogue Watchers anew, only to be stopped when a group of true Watchers arrived and took the rogues into custody. Returning to Earth with the Exiles, Becky then joined her teammates in holding a memorial for Iron Lad. The next morning, Blink awoke to find Becky and the other Exiles relaxing at Sandra's vacation home and suggested the Exiles stay together, as there would always be someone out in the Multiverse that needed their help.

(Future Foundation I#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, the consciousness of Rikki Barnes left Becky Barnes' body during a "blackness" (see comments).

Comments: Created by Saladin Ahmed, Javier Rodriguez and Alvaro Lopez.

In the Exiles III#8 flashback to Becky Barnes' origin, she is shown with brown eyes as a child but a single panel later, she is shown with blue eyes as a teenager/young adult. Some people's eye colors do change with age and while it seems a little unlikely that it would change from brown to blue in just a few short years, it could be possible. That would make her current eye color blue.

Future Foundation I#3 states that Rikki Barnes' consciousness inhabited Becky Barnes' body until "blackness," at which point Rikki's consciousness left Earth-86315 and jumped into her Earth-15061 counterpart. The thing is, it doesn't really say that Becky Barnes-86315 died, just that "blackness" caused Rikki's consciousness to jump elsewhere. The "blackness" could have been the moment in which the rogue Watchers pulled Becky Barnes from a nuclear bomb death on Earth-86315 (circa Exiles III#3) or it could have still possibly been Becky's death at some point after her Exiles appearances. The "blackness" could have also been a period in which Becky blacked out or was unconscious for an extended period. The issue does mention that Rikki's consciousness was present when Becky fell in love with Valkyrie so it have to have been inhabiting Becky's body at least at some point during or prior to her time with the Exiles. Without clear enough info, we don't really know the exact point in which Rikki's consciousness left Becky's body...only that it did leave her body at some point for unclear reasons, possibly death.

The Howling Commandos

The Howling Commandos were a squadron of military soldiers that were tasked with joining Captain America and Becky Barnes on their mission to stop the Red Skull from bombing New York City. When Becky Barnes first met the Exiles as they arrived on Earth-86315, some of the Howling Commandos were with her and they later accompanied the Exiles, Becky and Captain America on a plane to rendezvous with the Red Skull's flying fortress. Assisting the heroes against the Red Skull's forces, the Howling Commandos were present when Captain America threw down dynamite in a suicidal attack to finish off the Skull for good and save New York. Fortunately, the Exiles' teleported the Howling Commandos and the other heroes safely to the ground with the Red Skull's nuclear bomb, leaving the Skull and his forces to face the dynamite. Once on the ground, the Howling Commandos celebrated victory with the other heroes but they were all presumably killed when the Red Skull's bomb went off.
