FIGHT-BRIGADE

Membership: Elongated Armstrong, Fight-Man, Human Wreck, Riot Grrl, Super-Mummy

Purpose: To defend Delta City from evildoers (and probably also Fight-Man)

Affiliations: Unrevealed

Enemies: Fight-Man

Base of Operations: Delta City

First Appearance: Fight Man#1 (June, 1993)

History: (Fight Man#1 (fb)/All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Fight-Man) - The Fight-Brigade was a team of heroes assembled (via classified ad) to assist Fight-Man in his crusade against evil.  Due to Fight-Man's carelessness and stupidity, their infighting threatened to destroy Delta City several times; thus, after six months of action, they broke up and drifted apart.

(Fight Man#1) - With a contract out on his life placed by the Hooded Eye, Fight-Man contacted his old comrades from the Fight-Brigade for assistance.  None of them would help.

Comments: Created by Evan Dorkin & Pam Eklund.

Elongated Armstrong is presumably a play on stretchable '70s action figure Stretch Armstrong.

"Riot grrl" was a '90s feminist...punk...movement...thing.  Check Wikipedia, kids.

Thanks to Cristian Catalan for pointing out Super-Mummy's appearance in Bill & Ted's Excellent Comic Book#10. Though it is not confirmed that the Super-Mummy from this issue is the same as the one seen in Fight Man#1, it is very likely that he was meant to be because Evan Dorkin was the writer and creative mind behind both stories. This would make Super-Mummy an extraterrestrial and maybe even a being from an alternate reality because there is no indication were Hyperworld is. Maybe Bill & Ted crossed over to reality-616 in this issue.

Riot Grrl's real name was revealed in Civil War: Battle Damage Report, via background information provided by Evan Dorkin.  The real names and backgrounds of the rest of the Fight-Brigade were revealed in volume 4 of the All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe hardcovers.
