History: (X-Statix#9) - X-Statix visited the set of "X-Statix: The Movie," where they met with the director and Lennox Capriati to discuss the dailies. Lennox informed them that the special effects to simulate Phat's phatting-up power were taken from film footage of him using his power, while the director informed them that they were watching the part of the movie where the team was falling apart and the Orphan was attempting to re-assert his authority. He then explained to the real Orphan that in the movie, the Anarchist was never made team leader. Lennox then introduced them to Rimi Withnail, the actress who was playing the deceased U-Go Girl. Rimi had a huge crush on the real Orphan and invited him to her trailer to practice the love scene. Taken aback, the Orphan declined. The director then introduced the team to Robbie Rodriguez, who was also known as the mutant el Guapo. Later that night, the Orphan decided to pay a visit to Rimi's trailer to discuss how good she was at playing his deceased love, U-Go Girl. As she made a pass at the Orphan, the rest of the cast were attacked by a crazed Sharon Ginsberg, who thought them to be the real X-Statix. After the Orphan declined Rimi's pass at him, the actor playing the Anarchist came crashing through her trailer window, very much dead. Upon looking outside, the Orphan noticed that Sharon Ginsberg had also killed Lennox Capriati and the actor playing Vivisector. He jumped into action against Ms. Ginsberg as she was attacking the actor playing the Orphan. El Guapo soon arrived and slammed his skateboard into her, knocking Sharon unconscious. With the actors mostly dead, X-Statix watched film footage of el Guapo in action and contemplated having him on their team.

(Wolverine& the X-Men I#17) – Despite the setbacks, the X-Statix movie was completed and released on DVD. Doop later had a copy of it at his desk at the Jean Grey School.

Comments: Created by Peter Milligan and Michael Allred.

I'd like to point out that it seemed intentional that Peter Milligan and Michael Allred modeled Lennox Capriati after Leonardo DiCaprio. The name similarities seem to indicate this.

Clarifications:

Lennox Capriati has no known connection to

Not to be confused with

LENNOX CAPRIATI

Lennox Capriati was the actor who was playing Phat in "X-Statix: The Movie." He met with the X-Statix team and explained how the special effects team managed to create Phat's mutant power onscreen. He later joined the other actors after a day's work, only to be attacked and killed by Sharon Ginsberg, who thought he was the real Phat.

RIMI WITHNAIL

Rimi Withnail was the actress playing the deceased U-Go Girl. Rimi had an extremely huge crush on the Orphan and tried to take the place once held by U-Go Girl as the Orphan's lover. She twice made a pass at him and was shocked when Sharon Ginsberg attacked the other crew members. She was one of the lucky ones (along with the actor playing the Orphan) to survive Sharon's attack.
