Powers/Abilities: Iceman is a mutant who can manipulate cold and moisture to create ice constructs, lower temperatures to sub-zero levels, and encase himself in durable ice armor. His powers include generating slides, shields, and even turning his hands into weapons by firing them at his assailants.

History:
(X-Men: Ronin#1 - BTS) - The mutant known as Iceman became a mercenary at an unspecified time and formed a close camaraderie with fellow mutant mercenaries Pyro and Colossus.

(X-Men: Ronin#1) - Iceman, Pyro, and Colossus spent an evening at Dazzler's, a strip club, unaware that Emma Frost and her aide Tessa from the Hellfire Club were also present. Frost, seeking recruits for her plans to rise within the Club's ranks, took an interest in the trio. Using her telepathy, she manipulated Iceman into freezing Pyro over a trivial argument. Pyro, momentarily encased in ice, broke free in a fiery outburst. Frost then controlled Colossus to subdue the group, satisfied with their mutant abilities, she declared showtime was on.

(X-Men: Ronin#2) - Later that night, Frost's influence drove Iceman, Pyro, and Colossus to attack the X-Mansion. Their combined powers allowed them to breach its defenses, leading to a fierce confrontation. Following their defeat, the trio was detained in the mansion's holding cells. Wolverine interrogated Iceman, who revealed Frost's telepathic control. Wolverine, determined to track her down, departed to confront Frost.

(X-Men: Ronin#3) - When police forces led by Shiro Yoshida stormed the X-Mansion, they discovered Iceman and the others in the X-Men's detainment cells. The agents opened Iceman's cell, noting he would be placed under arrest by the proper authorities. Iceman, however used his mutant abilities to kill the officers by creating ice shards from his body after which he released Pyro and Colossus. Freed, Pyro reignited her flames, and Colossus killed two officers. Jean Grey confronted the mercenaries, her fury manifesting in a display of extraordinary power as her eyes turned white, signaling an otherworldly transformation.

(X-Men: Ronin#4 - BTS) - Jean Grey tapped into a powerful, mysterious force, ultimately killing Iceman, Pyro, and Colossus.

(X-Men: Ronin#4) - When Cyclops and Storm returned to the X-Mansion, they found the mercenaries' lifeless bodies. Initially blaming Yoshida's police force, they were confronted by Jean Grey, who confessed to ending the mutants' lives herself.

    Due to the Asian specific nature of the Mangaverse reality, it goes without saying that while characters might look similar to their 616 counterparts, they most likely will have distinctly different names, codenames or powers. Therefore we will only list the names when they have been used in the comics.

    X-Men: Ronin introduced us to several doppelgangers of already established Mangaverse characters: a new Colossus, working besides Iceman and Pyro. He wasn't the same character as the already established Colossus. And amongst the mutants seen fighting police officers and later joining the mutant underground were new versions of the Beast and Nightcrawler who clearly weren't the same as those part of the Azure which were brutally murdered by the X-Men.

   This profile was completed 11/15/2024, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25^th anniversary 's celebratory event.
