(Kid Komics#1/7 (fb) - BTS) - An aircraft mechanic presumably associated with the U.S. Army Air Forces, Williams installed bomb-sights onto planes used in the American war effort against the Axis powers.

    William supported the work of his son, "Breezy," who developed a keen interest in aviation and had his own teen-aged Glider Patrol with friends "Wings" West, "Nails" Nelson and Janice Jones.

(Kid Komics#1/7 (fb) - BTS) - William was captured by Nazi, who bound and tortured him, seeking to gain information about the bomb-sights he installed.

(Kid Komics#1/7 - BTS) - After Janice had gone home, Breezy and Nails discovered a group of Nazis posing as road workers after towing Wings into the air with the glider. Appreciating the seeming road workers' true nature, Breezy signaled Wings, who would land behind the Nazis, to surprise them, and Breezy and Nails ambushed and subdued the distracted Nazis.

    The boys soon found a pick-up post of string tied between two posts whereby a plane pilot could pick up a package without stopping. Breezy directed Wings to go into town and fetch the police, after which Breezy fixed rope to the poles to sabotage the the package pickup.

(Kid Komics#1/7) - Looking into the Nazi's base, Breezy and Nails saw the bound Mr. Collins, who refused to divulge any information despite the beating he had taken. While the Nazi torturer wished to use the branding iron in an effort to force information from William, his superior told him that they didn't have time to waste, as the plane was due to pick up dozens of other secrets that they had stolen in five minutes. collins-william-breezy-upprof

(Kid Komics#1/7 - BTS) - After Breezy leapt off the roof and took out the Nazi guard, he gave Nails the guard's knife with which he cut the building's electric wires while he dropped the guard's bullets down the chimney.

(Kid Komics#1/7) - After the lights went out and the bullets began firing, Nails slipped into the room and freed Mr. Collins, and when the Nazis tried to escape, Breezy held them at gunpoint.

    William proudly greeted his son, after which the police arrived with Wings. While the police were uncertain of the truth, William explained how the Nazis had kidnapped him, and while he had refused to give up his secrets, they had stolen dozen of secrets and they had a plane coming in to pick them up.

    The plane arrived just then, but the anchored pick-up rope yanked the Nazi plane to crash on the ground.

(Kid Komics#1/7 - BTS) - After the Nazis had been locked up, the police (presumably) informed William that the plane had operated from a Nazi cargo submarine, which the Coast Guard had taken care.

(Kid Komics#1/7) - William informed Janice of the submarine cargo sub and it's fate.

    There was no Mrs. Collins mentioned that I saw, so we don't know if William is a widower, divorced or never married.

    William Collins previously had a sub-profile under "Breezy," originally published 06/09/2025.

    This profile was completed 09/20/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent the "Breezy" Collins' stories and characters.
