carmenio-louie-1934-dw-seatedHistory:
(Death Wreck#2 (fb) - BTS) - Circa 1934 A.D., Louie Carmenio was the wealthy head of a Los Angeles based criminal gang, which had some rivalry with Tortoni's mob.

(Death Wreck#1 - BTS) - Death Wreck -- the earliest known incarnation of in the Minion series created in Reality-8410's 2018 A.D. by Dr. Evelyn Necker with the brain of an alcoholic -- used a time disc to travel to Earth-928's 2099 A.D., where Lozof Burgen planted a bomb on him and sent him back to 2018 to slay Necker and itself (in an effort to prevent Necker from creating her next in the Minion series, Death's Head).

(Death Wreck#1 - BTS / Death Wreck#2 - BTS) - However, presumably as Necker was attempting to retrieve Death Wreck and the time disc, the disc was instead diverted to Earth-616's 1934 A.D., arriving in Los Angeles, California on the set of a Western movie being filmed at Svengali Pictures.

(Death Wreck#2 - BTS) - One of the movie set's security men aimed a gun at Death Wreck and told him to freeze, but Death Wreck shattered the gun and took off, leaving behind Burgen's bomb, which then blew up and destroyed the set--and everyone on it.

(Death Wreck#2) - Mr. Carmenio's driver was taking him past Svengali Pictures when the 7'6" tall, monstrous form came rushing out, having just fought past some police officers and shattered the security gate.

Shouting, "Mama mia!," Carmenio ordered his driver to stomp on the accelerator as there was a psychotic monster running straight at them. The driver complied, but before they could take off, Death Wreck grabbed the care and held it in place. He asked to be let in and promised he would not hurt them, but Carmenio refused, telling the creature to leave him alone. Disregarding this, Death Wreck held the car in place with one hand, ripped its door off with his other hand and then got into car, asking them to give him a ride anyplace.

After the police rushed out and started firing on his car, Carmenio told his driver to get them out of there. Staring aghast at the giant creature, Carmenio told his driver to take them to the dock until the heat died down, as if the police caught them now, they might thing they were tied in with the creature. At Carmenio's query, Death Wreck told his name (which Burgen had given him); when Carmenio laughed and asked what kind of name that was, Death Wreck ominously glared at him and said he didn't know.Carmenio asked, " You're not gonna pull my arms off or anything like that, are you?"

Later, Carmenio arrived with Death Wreck at a warehouse base on the dock, telling his men to let him in before the rain ruined his $2000 suit. When Carmenio introduced Death Wreck, the creature shook hands with one of his men, unintentionally crushing the  man's hand.  Carmenio noted that he didn't know his own strength, and Death Wreck apologized, but Carmenio laughed, telling him not to worry about it as that guy was a jerk anyway. He then brought Death Wreck into his private bar, prompting one of his men, also named Louie, to ask if this was a bust. The men were all pleased when Carmenio assured them that Death Wreck was on their side. Carmenio offered Death Wreck a drink, and that's when things went awry...carmenio-louie-1934-dw-gun

Within a short time period, Death Wreck had consumed multiple bottles of liquor, and the crushed-hand guy (let's call him "Lefty") noted that the creature was drinking half of their liquor supply and asked what they were doing with this monster. Carmenio told him that he saw him rip the door off of his car today and asked if he would wantWreck fighting alongside Tortoni's mob; "Lefty" reluctantly agreed with Carmenio's reasons.

When the police arrived, Carmenio and his men pulled out their guns, and when a gunfight ensured, Carmenio told Death Wreck to help them. However, the intoxicated Death Wreck swung at one of the police officers, missed, and fell down on the ground. Turned around and confused, Wreck was surprised to find that he had a gun on his own left arm and began firing, unwittingly dropping four of Carmenio's men.

Cursing Death Wreck as a double crossing scum, Carmenio fired on Death Wreck, hitting the time disc and causing him to vanish into the future of Earth-93122's 2053 A.D. where he encountered Dredge.

Mr. Carmenio's first name was revealed in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Alternate Universes 2005's 2020 A.D. entry.

Highly unlikely, but it would be nice to see Carmenio show up in other stories either before or after his Death Wreck encounter.
