History: Dredge would appear to be some sort of law enforcer in New York of a future Earth @ 2053.

(Death Wreck#2, 3) - Bouncing through time via his time disc, Death Wreck ended up in New York 2053, where he found a homeless man consuming a bottle of wine. Approaching the man in hopes of getting a little bark for himself, Death Wreck was confronted by Dredge, who ordered him at gunpoint to step away from the man. Death Wreck said ok, but tried to get the bottle first, and Dredge opened fire on him. Infuriated--and seeing triple from another recent drinking binge--Death Wreck charged Dredge, threatening to kill all three of him. Dredge grabbed Death Wreck and rolled with him, tossing him back over him, but he landed on and crushed the homeless man he had sought before. Death Wreck apologized to the guy for killing him, but figured it would be a shame to waste the bottle, so he began to polished it off.

Dredge shot the bottle out of his hand and then punched Death Wreck in the face. Angered--mostly at losing the bottle--Death Wreck picked Dredge up and hurled him into a wall. Dredge leapt to his feet and prepared to blast Death Wreck with his shoulder cannon, but was zapped from behind by Dr. Necker, who had been trailing Death Wreck. Dr. Necker prepared to take Death Wreck back to her lab, but he saw her time disc and grabbed his own disc to show her he had one too...and activated it and beamed off to god knows where (ok, he went to Earth-Path of Righteousness Patrol, @ 2159).

Dr. Necker was incensed that Death Wreck had escaped her again, and that she would have to go back to her lab in 2018 to track him down again, and then follow him to wherever he'd gone, and...and Dredge tackled her from behind and gave her the beating of her life.

(Death Wreck#4 (fb) - BTS) - Dredge nearly strangled Necker, but she managed to nail him with "a copious supply of tranquilizing darts" escape back to her lab in 2018.

Comments: Created by Craig Houston and Stuart Johnson.

This guy wasn't named at all, except for when Necker referred to him as some maniac. I'd love to see him start following Death Wreck and/or Necker through time...assuming we ever see Death Wreck again, that is.

You get a single shot of the New York skyline, and then the rest of the struggle takes place in a back alley, so I can't comment too much more on the world of Dredge. While they have not resolved the homeless situation, at least a guy can drink a bottle in an alley and know the cops are there to protect them...or kill them in the act of trying, anyway.

I'd guess he was patterned after:
