History:

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS / The Mighty Valkyries#2 (fb) - BTS / The Mighty Valkyries#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point "long/many/centuries ago," the Asgardian god of poetry, Kvasir, was captured and brought to the planet Perdita. There he was forced to use his prophetic powers to advise the kings of Perdita, who were more concerned with weapons and riches than truth.

(The Mighty Valkyries#3 (fb) - BTS) - The people who captured Kvasir made up the legend of his origin (differing from his true history, place of origin, etc.), which essentially became truth as the only known history once the captors died.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Kvasir became known specifically as the "Oracle of Perdita," and he was contained within some sort of protective glass-like sphere that also protected him from outside harm and kept the "incorporeal noise" to a minimum.

The Oracle eventually became the basis for Oracle Adventures, a business that allowed those who paid for it or otherwise won the opportunity to ask the Oracle a single question. Kvasir felt that most asked the wrong questions.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS) - In recent years, Runa the Valkyrie traveled to Perdita to rescue Kvasir (see comments).oracle_adventures-perdita-receptionist-at-desk

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) - Arriving at Oracle Adventures, Runa used some sort of "gold card," to order the V.I.P. Seeker (see comments) package. The receptionist introduced her to Juna, who would be her personal guide as she sought her authentic truth. She further noted that Juna had a voucher for 15% off at their gift shop.

En route, Juna explained that Runa's VIP seeker status would allow her to bypass the  line, which otherwise had a 4.3 rotations wait (presumably referring to Perdita's rotation around its sun, although how that compares to Earth's rotation/day is unrevealed); she also noted that her status also allowed her to
opt out of the ritual cleansing.

An unidentified green-skinned woman asked the Oracle if she should take the job she had been offered.

The winner of the "Find Your Truth" giveaway subsequently asked the Oracle which of his children he should send off-world to help his family financially.

Juna led Runa to the Temple of the Oracle, and Runa asked the Oracle what was her name and why she was there. Juna gasped that Runa was only allowed one question.oracle_adventures-perdita-temple-globe

Asking more than one question alerted the guards, but the Oracle confirmed that she was there because of a promise made to the woman she loved, a woman that he had raised; that he was indeed Kvasir, the one she sought; and that her name was Runa.

As the guards ordered her to step down from the podium and noted that she had three seconds to comply, Runa summoned her axe, Jarnbjorn, and prepared to break the magic dome imprisoning him.

(The Mighty Valkyries#2) - As the dome shattered, the disguise that had hidden and shielded Kvasir faded. Virtually blinded by this sudden release, Kvasir was initially limited and vague in guiding his and Runa's escape.

While the security agents' presumed leader instructed care to avoid hitting the Oracle, Oracle/Dreamworks broadcast "10,000 Rublins to the one who slaughters the woman" (referring to Runa)...and "20,000 to the one who caught her alive. We'll have ourselves an execution!"

Kvasir noted an "egress in disguise" behind them, which Runa -- while blocking an energy blast -- correctly interpreted as a door, and she carried him through it.

As he warned her to beware the "fox...in snow," she, annoyed, asked him to tone down the obscurity. Kvasir noted that there was death on every path, and Runa clarified that she meant one where she and he survived but that their opponents did not.

Runa subsequently recognized and took out the foxy woman wearing white from Kvasir's previous reference, after which Kvasir advised her to go left.
Kvasir continued with specific guidance, leading Runa to kick open a door to exit the building.

It was then broadcast that Dreamfresh had contributed another 10,000 Rublins to the reward, "Kill the woman, get our Oracle back, and remember: Healthy skin is wealthy skin!"

Kvasir then directed Runa toward some stairs to escape the "fox in snow," after which he advised her that a man named Ologen was behind a door and would kill her unless she...

Appreciating Kvasir's meaning, Runa cut him off and kicked through the door and into Ologen, knocking him into waterway.

As they reached Runa's ship, Runa noted that Kvasir had been wrong as no one had died, but Kvasir explained that Ologen would be dead from the irradiated waters in hours.

As they lifted off, they were confronted by at least a pair of Perdita/Oracle security ships.

(The Mighty Valkyries#3) - As Dreamfresh/Oracle Adventures broadcast an increase to a 100,000 Rublin reward for killing the woman and recovering the Oracle, Kvasir instructed Runa to go straight up: There had been a reactor explosion in sector four and that if they maintained their current trajectory, they would hit the fallout and be reduced to a bubbling mess of flew and hair in seconds.

After they evaded and/or destroyed various pursuing ships, Runa asked Kvasir where they should go, and he told her he needed to go to Vanaheim -- even though that is the first place they would look. Kvasir countered that he was known as the Oracle of Perdita and that the modern people knew nothing of his true origins.

Comments: Created by Torunn Gronbekk and Erica D'Urso.

Following being trapped in a Celestial's head for thousands of years, Runa did not recall her real name before Kvasir told it to her. However, it is more clunky to keep referring to "the Valkyrie" over and over again, so I referred to her as Runa from the start. And then I realized it was an odd choice to name her personal guide at Oracle "Juna."

The name "VIP Seeker" would seem to mean that VIP meant Very Important Prophecy, rather than Very Important Person.

Taking the Oracle away from Oracle Adventures would not only have destroyed that business, but it likely tanked the already-deteriorating economy of Perdita.

The "Fox in Snow" seemed to be an interesting character worth seeing again.

The Oracle (Kvasir) and Runa the Valkyrie will get profiles in a few years...probably 2026.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Oracle Adventures has no known connections to

Juna

oracle_adventures-perdita-juna-bowingoracle_adventures-perdita-juna-best     Juna is a pink-skinned otherwise human-looking woman working as a personal guide -- at least to V.I.P. Seekers -- at Oracle Adventures.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) -
Arriving at Oracle Adventures, Runa used some sort of "gold card," to order the V.I.P. Seeker (see comments) package.

The receptionist introduced her to Juna, who would be her personal guide as she sought her authentic truth.

She further noted that Juna had a voucher for 15% off at their gift shop.

Calling Runa, "madam," Juna asked her to please follow her. Juna subsequently noted that while the wait line was currently 4.3 rotations (presumably referring to Perdita's rotation around its sun, although how that compares to Earth's rotation/day is unrevealed), although as a VIP seeker, she would bypass the line.

After advising that Runa would just have a brief wait in the lounge, Juna noted that she could also opt out of the ritual cleansing, and Runa appreciated the abridged spirituality.

Runa asked Juna if she had ever met the Oracle, and Juna strongly assured her that only the seekers met the Oracle, as he was kept behind the curtain and shielded.

Runa replied that it looked just like glass on TV, but Juna assured her it was much more than that, as while they had traditional security, keeping the Oracle safe was quite the task.

Juna suggested that Runa could imagine how difficult this was, and Runa replied that she could, but she asked that Juna tell her all about it, nonetheless.

Juna led Runa to the Temple of the Oracle, and Runa asked the Oracle what was her name and why she was there. Juna gasped that she was only allowed one question.

--The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: In case these images don't show it clearly, I believe Juna's eyes are green and her hair is a shade of magenta.
My color vision is weak, so I asked my daughter, and she agreed with green eyes, but said purple for the hair...

Ologen

oracle_adventures-perdita-ologen.
One of the security agents for Oracle Adventures, he had red skin, dark hair, and a pair of triangle marking (tattoos or otherwise) on his cheeks.

oracle_adventures-perdita-ologen-radwater(Mighty Valkyries#2) - As Runa sought a means of escape, Kvasir noted that there was death on every path, she clarified that she meant one where she and he survived but that their opponents did not.

As Runa followed Kvasir's subsequent guidance,
he advised her that a man named Ologen was behind a door and would kill her unless she...

Appreciating Kvasir's meaning, Runa cut Kvasir off and kicked through the door and into Ologen, knocking him into waterway.

(Mighty Valkyries#2 - BTS) - As they reached Runa's ship, Runa noted that Kvasir had been wrong as no one had died, but Kvasir explained that Ologen would be dead from the irradiated waters in hours.

--The Mighty Valkyries#2

Note:
Ologen may be an actual Oracle Adventures security agents, or he may be an independent agent seeking to gain the reward that Dreamfresh was posting for recovering the Oracle and killing or capturing his liberator, Runa

receptionist

oracle_adventures-perdita-receptionist-faceoracle_adventures-perdita-receptionist-full     A green-skinned, green-haired woman with some soft of adornment (a bead, a tattoo, make-up, or otherwise) between her eyebrows.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) -
Arriving at Oracle Adventures, Runa was greeted by the receptionist, "Welcome to Oracle Adventures, where mystery ends. How can I help you."

Holding out some sort of "gold card," Runa asked if this would get her the V.I.P. package.

Her attention gained by the VIP request, the receptionist asked Runa to please give her a moment, after which she stuck her head through the curtain behind her.

The receptionist swiftly returned, confirming that they had a VIP seeker package ready for her tonight.

She then introduced Juna, who would be Runa's personal guide as she sought her authentic truth.

She further noted that Juna had a voucher for 15% off at their gift shop.

--The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: Bummer that she did not receive a name. I would suggest "Rice" (pronounced like Ricky)

"Fox in Snow" / "Snowy Fox"

oracle_adventures-perdita-foxinsnow     An unidentified security agent for Oracle Adventures, she had red skin as well as (either small horns OR pig-tail style hair bound to a point before the long portion flowed freely) on either side of her head, and she wore a white uniform.

She carried a large blaster weapon that required two hands, as well as a hand-held blaster pistol.

(
The Mighty Valkyries#2 - BTS) - Immediately after being liberated from his containment sphere, the Oracle/Kvasir's senses were somewhat overwhelmed, and he could initially only supply the vague warning to Runa, "Beware...the...fox...in snow."oracle_adventures-perdita-foxinsnow-groundpistol

(The Mighty Valkyries#2) - After escaping the Temple of the Oracle with Kvasir over her shoulder, Runa was confronted by the red-skinned security agent -- alongside at least four others -- who ordered her to stop.

Seeing her, Runa recognized the "fox in snow" reference, after which Kvasir advised Runa to go left, and Runa knocked the rifle weapon out of her hand and kicked her out through the door.

As Runa fled, the "fox" fired her blaster pistol from the ground -- as well as firing off some expletives -- and continued to fire after getting to her feet.

Kvasir guided Runa to escape up a set of stairs.

--The Mighty Valkyries#2

Note:
The "Fox in Snow" and any or all of her associates may be actual Oracle Adventures security agents, or they may be independent agents seeking to gain the reward that Dreamfresh was posting for recovering the Oracle and killing or capturing his liberator, Runa.

With Kvasir having noted that all paths led to death, when Runa got him to her ship, she noted that they had not killed anyone, unless the "Snowy Fox" exploded in a fit of rage. Kvasir clarified that Ologen had been dumped into radioactive waters and would soon die.

While Runa may have held back somewhat, she can lift over 45 tons, and the fact that the "Fox in Snow" recovered so quickly speaks for her durability and toughness.

Dreamfresh
"Healthy skin is in"

Perdita's "Number One Radiation Blocker," Dreamfresh sponsored much of Oracle Adventures' activities, including the Find Your Truth show and the Find Your Truth giveaway that granted an opportunity to question the Oracle of Perdita, as well as those involving the recovery of the Oracle if he was captured.

Messages from Dreamfresh were frequently broadcast across Perdita

After Runa the Valkyrie liberated the Oracle, Dreamfresh broadcast a series of messages with progressively higher rewards for the Oracle's recovery (and the capture or killing of Runa).

--
The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: We don't know much about Dreamfresh, other than that they sponsored many of the Oracle Adventures' activities. They obviously had a stake in the preserving the Oracle as an asset, but the exact relationship between Dreamfresh and Oracle is unrevealed.

Find Your Truth

oracle_adventures-perdita-findyourtruth-crowdoracle_adventures-perdita-findyourtruthwinner-family     Find Your Truth was the name for the show that was the broadcasting of those asking questions of the Oracle of Perdita. It was sponsored by Dreamfresh.

Amongst the six most shocking revelation on "Find Your Truth" was a woman who thought that the man on her side was her brother, but that the Oracle knew better.

Find Your Truth had a giveaway sponsored by Dreamfresh, and this man won the last giveaway before the Oracle's escape.

The man's family was present amidst the audience (as seen in the image on the left)

Another, unidentified woman was shown asking the Oracle her question as part of Find Your Truth.

The show was broadcast on a screen within the lounge, from which Runa and Juna watched.

Note: The massive image at the end of the main profile as well as the main image for the Temple of the Oracle sub-profile.

Find Your Truth winner

oracle_adventures-perdita-findyourtruthwinner-morefulloracle_adventures-perdita-findyourtruthwinner-upper.
An unidentified apparently "Caucasian"-skinned man with gray hair and a beard, he was presumably native to Perdita.
He has a wife, a son, and a daughter, that latter of whom was named Tallis.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS) - The man had his home destroyed, and his work was gone. He wished to send his children away from the wretched planet, but he could only afford to send one.

Wishing to know whether his son or daughter (Tallis) would fare better, he sought the answer from the Oracle of Perdita.

Under unrevealed circumstances, the man won
the "Find Your Truth" giveaway -- sponsored by Dreamfresh -- that gave him that opportunity.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) - The winner of the "Find Your Truth" giveaway then met with the Oracle, related his tale, and asked which of his children would fare better if he sent him or her away from this wretched planet.

His wife, son, and daughter watched from the audience.

Considering that the son would flourish, but that he would never look back, and when he was asked where he was from, he would lie; and that the daughter, would work hard and send money back to her family, whom she would miss every day; the Oracle advised him to send Tallis.

However, the Oracle knew that the man would send his son in the end, no matter the advice...and he knew that the man knew this, as well.

--The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: Frustrating that only his daughter, Tallis was named. The father, his wife, and his son could have been easily named...

green customer

oracle_adventures-perdita-greencustomer-entranceoracle_adventures-perdita-bluecustomer-frontupperA pale-green-skinned woman with gray hair, she was presumably native to Perdita.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS) -
The woman gave up her baby son for adoption long ago.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS) - Her father had done something for which she felt she deserved an apology. When he died, he whispered something in her ear, too faintly for her to hear.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) - The woman told the Oracle of Perdita that she was standing at a crossroads in her life, and she asked if she should take the job she had been offered.

Kvasir considered that he could tell her that the baby she had given away long ago had grown up into a thriving young man and had forgiven her; or he could tell her that the last words on her father's lips were the apology she had always wanted.

However, as he could only offer the answer to the question asked, he told her that the job would bring the fortune she sought.

--The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: I originally thought this woman had green skin, but when I expanded the images, I was pretty certain she was blue...and then I asked my wife and daughter, and they both said green...

It would have been nice if this woman had received a name so we didn't just have to call her the "green customer," which is pretty crappy...

Gift Shop

oracle_adventures-perdita-gift     Capitalizing on the popularity of the Oracle, there was a gift shop outside of the Temple of the Oracle.

VIP Seekers received a voucher for 15% off at their gift shop.

--
The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: We don't actually see the interior of the shop, just the sign and a boy leaving it.

It's too small to see in this image, but the boy's shirt says, "
I went to ask the Oracle about the Meaning of Life and all I got was this lousy T-shirt."

security

oracle_adventures-perdita-security     In addition to the magical dome surrounding the Oracle, a number of security guards surrounded the dome's perimeter and were stationed throughout the arena in which the Find Your Truth opportunities took place.
This was for the Oracle's protection, of course...

The security guards wore headgear that seemed to be somewhat patterned after the false form worn by Kvasir as the Oracle; it would seem that this headgear would have severely limited their peripheral vision.

Security agents also manned a number of airships to intercept beings attempting to escape by air.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) - Asking more than one question alerted the guards, but the Oracle confirmed that she was there because of a promise made to the woman she loved, a woman that he had raised; that he was indeed Kvasir, the one she sought; and that her name was Runa.

Virtually blinded by this sudden release, Kvasir was initially limited and vague in guiding his and Runa's escape. oracle_adventures-perdita-security-ships

Runa
noted her appreciation for clear instructions, and Kvasir continued with specific guidance, leading her to kick open a door to exit the building.

Runa's ship evaded and/or destroyed various pursuing ships, and she escaped with the Oracle to Vanaheim.

ships

oracle_adventures-perdita-ships-xwing&destroyeroracle_adventures-perdita-ships-tie&destroyer     Security forces for Oracle Adventures used a variety of air and/or space vessels, including:

(1) "air cars," with either open or retractable roofs and manned by agents wearing uniforms identical to those within the Temple of the Oracle (see the image for those in ships in the Security sub-profile).

(2) small, likely 1-2 person pointed winged vessels that seemed like they might expand to make and x-pattern (see the top image on the left and the image for those in ships in the Security sub-profile).

(3) small, likely 1 person vessels with four short wings, emerging from the lateral corners (see the image to the right).

(4) larger ships, likely with more powerful weapons and larger crews (see both left and right images)

The Mighty Valkyries#2 (3

Note: The ships in the images in these sub-profiles seemed reminiscent of Star Wars' X-wing fighters (#2), tie-fighters (#3), and Imperial Destroyers (#4)...to me, at least.

lounge

oracle_adventures-perdita-lounge-entranceoracle_adventures-perdita-loungeThose with VIP seeker status could bypass the line to the Oracle, and they only had a brief wait in the lounge, in which they were served drinks and they could watch others asking their questions of the Oracle.

A relatively large man -- with pale green skin and a small circular marking on his forehead and either yellow hair or a yellow circle atop his head -- stood by the entrance, presumably a bouncer to keep out the riff-raff.

A green-skinned woman served drinks within the lounge.

(
The Mighty Valkyries#1) - Juna brought Runa to the lounge while they waited for two others to ask their question of the Oracle.

waiting line

oracle_adventures-perdita-line.
There was understandably a long waiting line to ask a question of the Oracle.

.
At the time Runa the Valkyrie visited the Oracle, the wait-line was
4.3 rotations (presumably referring to Perdita's rotation around its sun, although how that compares to Earth's rotation/day is unrevealed).

.
Part of the process in preparing to meet the Oracle typically involved some sort of ritual cleansing (about which nothing further was discussed).

.
Those who pay for or otherwise qualify for VIP Seeker status can not only
opt out of the ritual cleansing but also bypass the line.

(The Mighty Valkyries#1 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Kvasir became known specifically as the "Oracle of Perdita," and he was contained within some sort of protective glass-like sphere that also protected him from outside harm and kept the "incorporeal noise" to a minimum.

Less than three weapons in the universe capable of breaking the magic surrounding the Oracle

There apparently was a ritual cleansing procedure that those waiting to see the Oracle performed.

However, those with VIP Seeker status could opt out of this

(The Mighty Valkyries#1) - After an unidentified woman and the Find Your Truth winner each asked a question of the Oracle, Runa had her chance, but she broke the rules and brought down the heat by asking two questions, when only one was allowed.kvasir-oracle-illusionshattered

As the guards ordered Runa to stand down, she asked if her axe, Jarnbjorn, would break the magic dome imprisoning him.

Kvasir answered, "yes," and she then summoned Jarnbjorn and leapt toward the dome, asking, "Are you ready for this, old man?"

(The Mighty Valkyries#2) - As the dome shattered, the disguise that had hidden and shielded Kvasir faded.

Virtually blinded by this sudden release, Kvasir was initially limited and vague in guiding his and Runa's escape.

--
The Mighty Valkyries#1

Note: Less than three is another of saying "no more than two"; either way means zero, one or two.

Magic or not, the idea that there is only one other object in the universe that could have broken the field is a little far-fetched given the scope of power of beings in the Marvel Universe.
However, with the magic/barrier already broken, it's pretty much moot...

Yes, it is the same image as in the main profile, but it seems inclusive/important enough to include in the main image as well as here.
