The group sought out the help of Krakoa's Marauders lead by Captain Kate Pryde to help smuggle them out of Brazil. The children waited close to the sea where the Brazilian navy guarded the coastline.

(Marauders I#4) - Waiting close to the Brazilian coastline, Fish's friends urged him to make use of his mutant abilities and escape past the navy, Fish, however, refused to abandon his friends. Mere moments later the Marauders arrived to deal with the navy, believing themselves freed the children ran toward the ocean only to be met by Paragon a superhuman Brazilian government official. Paragon threatened to kill the children if they would walk away, believing they owed their service to the state as mutants. Just then Storm of the Marauders arrived who offered the children amnesty and easily disposed of Paragon after which Fish and his friends were brought onto the Marauder ship. Iceman escorted Fish and his friend to a Krakoan gate, allowing them to finally reach the sovereign mutant island nation.

(Cable IV#1 - BTS) - Fish participated in single combat in the Quarry where he lost to Callisto. The match was officiated and recorded by the Silver Samurai.

(Marauders I#11) - Fish was one of the many mutants who attended the seaman's funeral of Kate Pryde when she was murdered by Sebastian Shaw.

(Marauders I#12) - Learning Kate Pryde had finally been resurrected after many failed attempts, Fish joined a large gathering of mutants rescued by Kate Pryde and the Hellfire Trading Company to welcome her back to the land of the living.
