History: (Edge of Venomverse I#5 (fb) - BTS) - The assassin Deadpool once caught crabs and it took him three weeks to rid himself of the parasites. At one point, Deadpool was host for an alien Klyntar symbiote but ultimately split from the symbiote.

(Edge of Venomverse I#5) - Deadpool was hired to investigate the parasitologist Dr. Scott, who had been performing experiments in augmented biological symbiotics and refusing to share his research with the Pentagon. Venturing into Scott's lab, Deadpool found that Dr. Scott and his assistants had become hosts to their own parasitic research experiments. The infested Scott and his assistants confronted Deadpool but when a parasite emerged from Scott's mouth, Deadpool decapitated Scott and all of the other assistants, only to watch the parasites pull Scott's body back together. Scott then grabbed Deadpool and expelled parasitic tentacles that infected Deadpool. Fighting off the infection thanks to his healing factor, Deadpool was soon overwhelmed. As he was carried off by Scott and the others, Deadpool noticed a specimen tank housing a Klyntar symbiote and smashed it, allowing the symbiote to bond with him in order to fight off the parasites. Empowered by the symbiote, Deadpool killed Scott and the other scientists, soon finding a smashed specimen tank labeled St. MacReady's Hospital. Leaving towards the Hospital to make sure the parasites had not infected anyone, Deadpool expelled the remaining parasites from his own body before invading St. MacReady's Hospital as doctors from performing an organ transplant using the parasites. Unfortunately, Deadpool arrived too late and the patient attacked him in an attempt to infest Deadpool into their hive mind.

Nearly overwhelmed again, Deadpool used a defibrillator to shock the parasites off of him, an act that also separated him from his symbiote. Re-bonding with the symbiote, Deadpool chased the retreating patient into a room with more infected hospital patients that all attacked. Overcome once more, Deadpool's symbiote managed to expel the parasites again after fully bonding to Deadpool and Deadpool saved an uninfected hospital staff member before re-engaging the staff that was infected. After witnessing the symbiote-bonded Deadpool horrifically slaughter the parasite-infected staff, the terrified woman Deadpool rescued soon dug a surgical buzzsaw into Deadpool's arm, severing it. Spraying blood onto the woman from his arm socket, Deadpool asked what the woman's damage was as his severed arm, animated by the symbiote, crept back onto his body, scaring the woman into fleeing. With the parasites destroyed, Deadpool decided to do what heroes do and he ran around the hospital performing "heroic acts" such as delivering a baby, creating balloon animals out of the deceased parasites for children and frantically wheeling an old man around in a wheelchair, running over parasite corpses as he did so.

Later that night, Deadpool decided his work was done and considered him free to move on. As he leapt from a St. MacReady's Hospital window, however, a portal opened within his symbiote and he was pulled off Earth-41715, relating his teleportation to that of a toilet flush. Emerging at the ruined St. MacReady's Hospital on Earth-22249, Deadpool was recruited into the anti-Poison resistance by Earth-17084's Captain Venom (Steve Rogers).

(Venomverse I#1) - Deadpool and the rest of the anti-Poison resistance greeted the newest recruit, Venom (Eddie Brock of Earth-616), as he was brought into their fold by Captain Venom and referred to Venom as a "new fish on the line."

(Venomverse I#2) - After Venom and the resistance's Spider-Man were separated from the rest of the resistance and Spider-Man was consumed by a Poison of reality-17952, Deadpool and the resistance's Old Man Venom and Spinneret regrouped with Venom in time to rescue him from the now-Poison Spider-Man. During the subsequent fight against Poison Spider-Man, Deadpool riddled Poison Spider-Man with bullets and watched as Poison Spider-Man expressed some of Spider-Man's personality when he hesitated to kill the resistance's Spinneret. Poison Spider-Man ultimately retreated and Deadpool returned to the resistance's headquarters, where they regrouped with the remaining members of the resistance and Deadpool suggested they would soon be tracked down by the Poisons. When the resistance's Doctor Strange began explaining the Poisons to Venom, Deadpool chimed in that the resistance didn't ultimately stand a chance, as they lost members every time they encounter the Poisons. Old Man Venom quickly reminded Deadpool that they had not been beaten yet but Deadpool responded by reminding Old Man Venom that he was not Captain Venom, their now-deceased resistance field leader.

(Venomverse I#4 (fb) - BTS) - After having witnessed part of Spider-Man's personality remaining inside Poison Spider-Man, Deadpool decided to voluntarily allow himself to be consumed by Poisons, banking on his unhinged personality surviving consumption of his physical form and that the Poison who consumed him would be overwhelmed by Deadpool's assimilated personality and become a double agent for the resistance.

(Venomverse I#2) - Later, as the resistance was moving to their new headquarters at the ruins of Our Lady of Saints Church, Deadpool went off on his own and purposely lured the Poisons to his location. Soon surrounded by Poisons, Deadpool announced that if he couldn't beat the Poisons, he could surrender peacefully and hope the initiation into the Poisons was not half as painful as he thought.

(Venomverse I#3 - BTS) - Deadpool was consumed and his form and personality assumed by an alien Poison, who admitted that assimilating Deadpool was not what he expected. When Deadpool never made it to Our Lady of Saints Church, the other members of the anti-Poison resistance began wondering if Deadpool had been assimilated by the Poisons or if he'd just gone off on his own. After the Poisons later attacked and were driven off by Earth-32231's Carnage, a secret weapon recruited by the resistance, the Poison Captain America asked the Poison Deadpool why he had not told them of Carnage's involvement but Poison Deadpool claimed the resistance had not told Earth-41715's Deadpool anything.

(Venomverse I#4 - BTS) - The personality of the deceased Earth-41715 Deadpool became the dominant personality within the Poison Deadpool and the Poison Deadpool went to the anti-Poison resistance to inform them of the Poisons' ultimate plan to use the resistance's Doctor Strange to summon more alternate reality symbiote hosts to feed on.

(Venomverse I#5 - BTS) - Earth-41715 Deadpool's assimilated personality remained dominant of Poison Deadpool's form as he returned to the Poisons' headquarters with a seemingly captive Earth-32231 Carnage, only to turn on the Poisons and attack them. When the resistance arrived and destroyed the Poisons' headquarters with a bomb, most of the resistance were teleported back to their home realities while the Poison Deadpool and Earth-32231's Carnage were destroyed with the other assembled Poisons.

Comments: Created by Clay McLeod Chapman and James Stokoe.

Some online sources list this character as being called "Venompool" but I could not find any instance of him being called that. Even his teammates in the anti-Poison resistance called him Deadpool.

Deadpool's height and weight are approximated from his Earth-616 counterpart. Additionally, he was never seen in-story without his mask pulled up any higher than his nose so his eyes and hair are presumed to be the same as his Earth-616 counterpart.

Profile by Proto-Man.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Earth-41715's Deadpool has no known connections to:

Dr. Scott

Noted parasitologist Dr. Scott worked at Ripley Diagnostics, where he designed weapons systems utilizing augmented biological symbiotics and refused to share his weapons with the Pentagon. Eventually, the assassin Deadpool was hired to investigate and potentially kill Dr. Scott but Deadpool arrived to find Dr. Scott a host of his own parasitic experiments. When the possessed Dr. Scott attempted to force Deadpool into becoming a host, Deadpool decapitated Dr. Scott and his fellow scientists, only to watch the parasites pull Dr. Scott's head back to his body. Dr. Scott and the other scientists soon overwhelmed Deadpool but Deadpool unleashed an alien symbiote Scott had been experimenting on and the symbiote helped Deadpool overpower the parasites. Dr. Scott's head proclaimed that the parasites were legion but Deadpool responded by squishing Scott's head beneath his boot.
