History: (What If?: Iron Man - Demon in an Armor#1/2) - Deadpool was hired by Galactus to kill the Beyonder because the Beyonder had grafted MODOK to Galactus' butt and was given the Retcon Expungifier to do the job. Once Deadpool found his target, he was immediately taken with the Beyonder's charms and instead became his friend and party companion. Their good time was almost ruined by an irate, symbiote-bonded Spider-Man, who also wanted revenge on the Beyonder. He was stopped by the Beyonder's chauffeur, musician Bobby Oceanic, and separated from the symbiote, which then bonded to Deadpool, creating the jheri-curled Venompool to the approval of all present.

(What If?: Wolverine - Father#1/2) - Eight years later, the Beyonder and Venompool had recruited Tony Stark and continued partying until the Beyonder decided he was done with both partying and Venompool. Venompool swore revenge and sold Tony Stark to AIM to retrieve the Retcon Expungifer from the pawn shop he had sold it to. Instead of buying the weapon back, Venompool decided to get his life together and join a superhero team. He was rejected several times due to his jheri-curled status. Fed up, Venompool entered a belltower and managed to expunge the curls from his head. Freed of this burden, he went on to be a hero by mutilating criminals but was told that he would be unable to attain any notoriety unless he participated in an event. While Venompool made the attempt, he decided to forget the whole thing.

(What If? Spider-Man#1/2 (fb)) - Feeling constantly upstaged by the Beyonder, Venompool bought back the Retcon Expungifier and attempted to lay a trap for the Beyonder but was dismayed when he discovered that the Beyonder was with Carnage Curl, a woman who had bonded to Venompool's discarded jheri-curls. Over the next few years, Carnage Curl would do her best to ruin Venompool's life, including killing Venompool's secret great uncle, Buffalo Hopscotch, and blowing up the laboratory where Venompool had been working for years to create diarrhea retardant Olestra.

(What If?: Spider-Man#1/2) -  Sixteen years later, Venompool was on a talk show hosted by an alien Watcher called Hairy Spranger with the Beyonder and Carnage Curl to settle their animosities. Instead, the Beyonder revealed he was dating Carnage Curl, who was pregnant. This saddened Venompool, who stood by and watched as Galactus revealed that he was the one who had impregnated Carnage Curl to enact vengeance upon the Beyonder. Galactus and Beyonder decided to fight, which resulted in the destruction of the Earth.

(What If? Dark Reign#1/2 (fb)) - Venompool used the Retcon Expungifier on Galactus and the Beyonder, undoing the destruction of the Earth and erasing them from continuity.

(What If? Dark Reign#1/2) -  Venompool's heroics made him the envy of almost everyone, garnering him a movie about his life, but once he realized that other heroes were still capable of drawing people's attention, he killed most of them over the course of a year as well as most of the super-villains and became King of the World. Still unable to find happiness, Venompool wound up using the Retcon Expungifier to erase his universe.

(Deadpool Kills Deadpool#2 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, the surviving Earth-90211 Venompool joined up with a multiversal army of evil Deadpool counterparts in their mission to eradicate the heroic Deadpools from the multiverse.

(Deadpool Kills Deadpool#2) - Venompool was part of the evil Deadpool army when Beard of Beespool was revealed as a traitor within their ranks.

Comments: Created by Rick Remender, Shawn Moll and Mark Irwin.

While the Boy Watcher, who introduces readers to Deadpool's What If story in What If?: Iron Man - Demon in an Armor#1, identifies the Venompool reality as Earth-615.9, the decimal system is not normally used in reality designations and the official designation was later given as Earth-90211.

Also, at the beginning of the story, Deadpool appears looking like his Earth-616 counterpart and he presumably had no hair. At first, we see him wearing what appears to be a fake, grey mustache on the outside of his mask and he is later seen hanging with the Beyonder with a full head of black hair, seemingly on the outside of his mask again. It's possible that he was given hair by the Beyonder off-panel and that he was wearing a modified mask that showed his new hair, as when the Venom symbiote bonded to him, he had giant, black-colored jheri curls as Venompool. His eye color was impossible to determine, as he was never seen without his mask on. Similarly, one can only assume Venompool's height & weight was the same as his Earth-616 counterpart. During the time when the Carnage Curls were still part of his symbiote, Venompool appeared much larger but this appeared to be a byproduct of the symbiote and not Deadpool's actual size.

It might warrant noting that the 4 What If backup stories featuring Venompool were later reprinted in its own individual issue called What If Venom Possessed Deadpool?#1 (April, 2011). -Proto-Man
