History:
The planet Yann in the Geuliscwarz system is a hostile world with deadly predators living among a savage and colorful jungle. However, beneath the earth in a series of catacombs lives a scientifically advanced humanoid race.

(Strange Tales I#164/1) - When the Scientist Supreme, Yandroth, ruler of the humanoid race, kidnapped the extradimensional Earth woman, Victoria Bentley, Dr. Stephen Strange came to Yann to rescue her. He shook off attacks by a Slug and a Bat before descending into the catacombs and finding Yandroth.

(Strange Tales I#165/2) - Strange and Yandroth battled briefly before Yandroth unleashed Voltorg (sometimes called Voltorr) on Strange.

(Strange Tales I#166/1) - Strange managed to defeat Voltorg and pursued Yandroth and Bentley to another dimension.

(Avengers: Loki Unleashed#1) - Sise-Neg and Loki engaged in battle on Yann, threatening the very planet. Ganyrog led the Masters of the Mental Arts to safety on a nearby moon. The Avengers (Captain America/Steve Rogers, Iron Man/Tony Stark, Thor, Wasp/Janet Van Dyne, Captain Marvel/Monica Rambeau) and Doctor Strange arrived, encountering the Bats and Slugs, before the Living Tribunal descended and sent everyone to their own planets again.

(The Order I#5 (fb) - BTS) - Yandroth seemingly perished and Christopher Ganyrog took over as the new Scientist Supreme, ruling the Masters of the Mental Arts, including Romantic Objective Pamela. Yandroth manifested on Earth and cast a spell that could potentially destroy Yann through molten upheavals.

(The Order I#5) - Earth heroes Ardina, Clea, Hellcat, Namorita, Nighthawk, She-Hulk, and Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington) appeared on Yann and fended off attacks by a Slug and a Bat before rescuing two humanoids from a volcanic eruption in the Upheaval Zones. Ganyrog and Pamela allied with the heroes and agreed to help them solve Yann's problem back on Earth.

(The Order I#6 - BTS) - The Masters of the Mental Arts aided the heroes in capturing Yandroth and returned him to Yann, to go on trial in the courts of Yanagar.

(Last Defenders#1 (fb) - BTS) - Yandroth escaped from captivity and killed the Ganyrogs. He took over Yann and began calling himself the Techno-Mage. Considering himself enlightened and developing the ability to view things across the time stream, and to travel to various events, Yandroth put together a plan to achieve his own destiny. When the Rigellians sent a Recorder to Yann, Yandroth severed its head and kept it alive to witness his ascension.

(Last Defenders#1) - Yandroth explained his motivations to the Recorder, discussing the formation of the Defenders and his plan to manipulate their destiny.

(The Order I#5) - Earth heroes Ardina, Clea, Hellcat, Namorita, Nighthawk, She-Hulk, and Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington) appeared on Yann and were attacked by a Slug, whose hypersonic attack incapacitated Namorita because of her sensitive hearing. Valkyrie deflected a blast from the Slug, with her sword, into a Bat, who crashed into the Slug.

Though slow moving, the Slugs of Yann have powerful vibratory antennas that emit a shattering shriek of ultrasonic sound to stun their victims. The antennas can fire fiery destructive energy blasts.
