    presumably formerly Belasco, S'ym

Base of Operations: Various dimensions;
The group meets in the Great Vault of Otherplace ("Limbo") which is central to the various realms. The structure is so large that it dwarfs the millions who assemble within it.

First Appearance: Magik II#3 (March, 2001)

History:
(Magik II#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point in the past, a single nether realm was splintered into numerous realms so that a single being could not rule all of Hell.

(Magik II#3 (fb) - BTS) - A convocation of the Lords of the Splinter Realms was called only twice in the last forty-seven thousand years.

(Magik II#3) - Deciding that only a united force could oppose the Archenemy that threatened to destroy all of the various nether realms, Magik called a convocation of the Lords of the Splinter Realms. After much debating, the Lords agreed that they had no choice but to put their trust in each other, and they made a pact of union, merging the Splinter Realms--via a collective showering of energy, mingling of oaths, and mixing of demon-blood--into a single base from which they could act .
However, almost immediately after they had done so, Magik's advisor Duke Bleys was revealed as her enemy S'ym, who was serving the Archenemy. As the Archenemy itself arrived at the merged realm, S'ym revealed that they had actually made the Archenemy's job easier by creating a single easy target.

(Magik II#4) - Magik blew the Horn of Harrowing, calling the various Lords and their servants to confront the Archenemy, who paused briefly--as if stayed by the sight of such formidable resistance--before beginning its onslaught. Two hundred thousand died in the first second, and the Archenemy moved on, crushing the walls of the United Realm underfoot. Dormammu and his Mindless Ones held the Eastern Flank. A cyclone of magic energy ten miles wide spun around them. Mephisto commanded the Western defense.
As her allies fell before the Archenemy, Magik convinced them to unite their power once more and focus them through her so that she could cast a spell of divination to understand the nature of their foe. As soon as she understood what it was, she transported Nightcrawler to Manhattan, where he destroyed Nugent's machine. Weakened by the destruction of its source of power, the Archenemy fell before Magik and her Soulsword, which destroyed it.

With the Archenemy destroyed, the United Realm swiftly splintered anew. Many of the demon-lords were able to re-form over time.

COMMENTS: As a united concept, they were created by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Liam McCormick-Sharp.

Pluto (whose "strident, venomous authority is challenged by none") is almost always included, with Seth and Hela being the next most likely, but here are a few other Death Gods that might be affiliated with the Lords of the Splinter Realms:

Molgotha is pretty Satannish-like. I'm guessing Satannish was in the original story until someone remembered that he had been recently destroyed in the recent Hellcat series, and they just renamed and re-colored him. Or not.

Chieftain of the Murder Clans

While he did not fully trust any of the other Lords, he was convinced of the threat of the Archenemy, and he promoted the making of the pact of union as opposed to risking extinction.

Haemovore Kings of the Outer Dark

They traveled to the Convocation, though they were not identified or heard from, but they presumably joined the pact to oppose the Archenemy.

Haemovore would be translated as "blood-eater."

The "Outer Dark" is also referenced in association with these characters: Karlot, Kthara, Lady Daemon, Master Khan, Mordred the Evil

Hedron the Faceted

He(?) traveled to the Convocation, though he was not identified or heard from, but he presumably joined the pact to oppose the Archenemy.

Malevolence,
King of Pain

When Siffror and D'Spayre questioned forming the pact, Malevolence told them that they were fooling themselves; from his border watchtowers he had seen Hell fall in flame and terror. He participated in the pact.

Molgotha

When Magik proposed the pact, Molgotha commented that such a pact could be broken by none present on pain of death or there could be no trust between rivals.

Muranai

They traveled to the Convocation, though they were not identified or heard from, but they presumably joined the pact to oppose the Archenemy.

Siffror
of the Lifeless

Having not seen the Archenemy himself(?), he questioned whether the recommendation to form the pact was not just a ploy to undermine their feudal thrones. Nonetheless, he presumably was convinced to join the pact to oppose the Archenemy.

--Magik II#3 (4

Skarabrous the Stalker

Also known as the Stalker-Lord, Skarabous asked Magik's opinion on what action they should take to oppose the Archenemy. He presumably joined the pact to oppose the Archenemy.

--Magik II#3 (4

Viliven

Having dueled with Molgotha for centuries, she(?) agreed with him that any who broke the pact should be killed. She stated that she would never enter into such a pact unless there were stringent penalties.
