History:
(Typhoid I#1 (fb) - BTS) - Gladice Henry's daughter Cynthia went missing and Gladice phoned the police but they appeared uncaring of the situation.

(Typhoid I#1) - When Gladice's schizophrenic neighbor Mary Walker ventured outside behind her apartment to meet her boyfriend John, she overheard Gladice crying. Noticing that Gladice had a television turned on, Mary asked if Gladice was crying over an old movie and the emotional Gladice at first replied "yes" then immediately changed her story to "no." Upon seeing that Gladice was watching Bonnie and Clyde, Mary admitted she loved the movie but always turned it off before the ending, at which point Gladice admitted she was crying because her daughter Cynthia was missing and the police didn't seem to care. Mary apologized for Gladice's situation and backed away, claiming she had to go. Mary later returned to find Gladice still crying and when she asked how Gladice was doing, Gladice informed Mary that she had been informed that Cynthia had been a prostitute and that Cynthia had been killed. When Mary asked who killed Cynthia, Gladice admitted she didn't know and Mary quickly noticed a phone number written down on a piece of paper Gladice had near her. Mary asked if she could take the paper and call the person whose number was on the paper and Gladice told Mary to "do anything she wanted."

(Typhoid I#2) - While Mary was in the city attempting to uncover the mystery of Cynthia Henry's murder, a young filmmaker, Trent, who sought Typhoid Mary to act in a movie he was working on, tracked down Mary's last known address and visited it, witnessing a crying Gladice next door. Trent asked if Gladice was okay and Gladice, assuming Trent was looking for Mary, informed Trent that Mary had gone into the city to find the murderer that had killed her daughter Cynthia. Trent apologized for Gladice's situation and remarked that it was no wonder Gladice cried so hard, at which point Gladice explained that she wasn't crying for Cynthia but rather because the woman on the One Life to Live soap opera had lost her baby.

    Cynthia Henry is never actually seen on-panel. The Marvel Database Wiki website has an image of another prostitute from Typhoid I#1 but the image they use could not have been Cynthia because we know that prior to Typhoid I#1, Cynthia had already went missing, as Gladice's first appearance has her crying over that fact to Mary. We then see a flash to Jack Taranova with another prostitute before later coming back to Gladice, who informs Mary that she now had confirmation that Cynthia had been murdered. While that image could be a flashback to the past, I'm thinking more like it's a flash of events that were occurring simultaneously as the story in Typhoid I#1 progressed and again, Cynthia had already turned up missing when Typhoid I#1 begins.

Cynthia Henry was the daughter of Gladice and was secretly employed as a prostitute in New York City. During a meeting with a "client," Cynthia turned up missing and it was later confirmed that she was killed by the Westside Ripper. Her friend and fellow prostitute Flavia phoned Gladice to inform her both of Cynthia's status as a prostitute and of Cynthia's murder. The news sent Gladice into a fit of crying and her schizophrenic neighbor Mary, outside to meet her boyfriend John, overheard Gladice's crying and learned of Cynthia's murder from Gladice. Determined to help Gladice, Mary allowed her private detective Walker personality to become dominant and she went into the city to locate and kill Cynthia's murderer. Young filmmaker Trent later visited Mary's apartment and found Gladice crying outside. Gladice informed Trent that Mary had went into the city to find the person who killed her daughter.
