History: (Daredevil I#296 (fb) – BTS) – Mob boss Jerry "The Whale" Sabini was in league with Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, and he paid Fisk protection money. Sabini had a wife at home.

(Daredevil I#295 (fb) – BTS) – Sabini was kidnapped by the Hand alongside city commissioner Christine Harris, real estate man Derek Tully and deputy mayor Pamela Sennet.

(Daredevil I#295) – Sabini and the others were strung upside down as Jonin and Izamani of the Hand stated they'd been killing others to unsettle these, their victims, in a long-term plan to gain control of New York City.

(Daredevil I#296) – The strung-up civilians saw the Chaste (Flame, Spear, Star, Stone) arrive to aid Daredevil against the Hand and they cut down the captives after defeating the ninjas. Sabini complained about being treated roughly by the Chaste. Sabini immediately went to Kingpin and complained about his rough treatment. Kingpin, with his man Maltese, began making plans, making Sabini furious, but after he insulted Kingpin, he immediately apologized but Kingpin had Maltese gouge Sabini's eye out in revenge.

(Daredevil I#297 (fb) – BTS) – Kingpin ordered Sabini, now with a bandage over one eye, to put his men to work in smuggling and transporting for Kingpin.

(Daredevil I#297) – Sabini was complaining to his men, including Joey, about Fisk's orders when Typhoid Mary arrived, threatening violence and ripping open the cocaine supply just to make Sabini angry. Daredevil then entered the room with a challenge to Typhoid, who fled after gouging Sabini's already empty eye socket with her thumb.

(Daredevil I#300 (fb) – BTS) – Hearing about the Kingpin's legal troubles, Sabini offered to bail him out and give him a place to live. He retrieved Kingpin's effects from Maltese, including his diamond-tipped cane.

(Daredevil I#300) – Sabini picked up Kingpin and returned him to his business with the name Gerald James Sabini on the door. Kingpin thanked him for his help but then Sabini said that Kingpin would be serving him from now on. Furious, Kingpin grabbed his cane and beat Sabini to death with it just as Sabini's men, including Henry, rushed in, finding his body.
