History:
(Spider-Man 2099 I#10 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata married the quick-tempered George O'Hara, with whom she often fought.

(Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#2 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata hated George O'Hara and found herself drawn to the arms of Tyler Stone despite his selfish nature.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#25 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata shared an affair with Tyler Stone, who felt Conchata was the only woman that was ever a match for him, and the two conceived a child.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#9 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata had a son, whom she named Miguel.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#10 (fb) - BTS) - Unaware of Conchata's infidelity, George O'Hara raised Miguel but Conchata was always hard on Miguel due to his reminding her of Miguel's actual father.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#26 / 2 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Tyler Stone's wife Nancy learned of Tyler's affair with Conchata and the son Tyler had conceived with her. Despite this, Nancy felt a sort of kinship with Conchata due to their shared interest in Tyler and Nancy secretly sought to become friends with Conchata.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#9 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata had a second son, named Gabriel.

(2099 Unlimited I#9 / 2 (fb)) - George O'Hara was extremely quick-tempered and at one point left Conchata and her two sons defensive in the corner as he yelled at them.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#10 (fb)) - When her sons Miguel and Gabriel were young children, Conchata asked Miguel to look at what Gabriel was making but when Miguel uncaringly brushed it off, Conchata scolded Miguel, arguing that Miguel had not even looked at what Gabriel had made. Conchata then warned Gabriel against growing too fast, noting that if he did, he might become grumpy like Miguel. Miguel then apologized and assured his mother that he was looked at Gabriel's creation in a moment. The conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Conchata's husband George, who entered praising Miguel for scoring in the top one percentile on his aptitude test and announcing that Miguel would be going to special training at Alchemax's top facility. Conchata argued that going to the Alchemax training meant that Miguel would be taken away from home but an angry George reminding Conchata that there would be visiting time and that Miguel couldn't "root around his mother's skirts" all his life. Conchata argued back that her opinion mattered in this decision and asked Miguel if he truly wanted to go to the Alchemax training facility and when George claimed that Miguel of course wanted to go, Miguel meekly replied in the affirmative. Conchata claimed Miguel only agreed because he was more afraid of George than he was of her and she refused to allow Miguel to be taken away. Angry at Conchata's refusal, George exclaimed that she would show her "won't allow" before getting into a physical fight with Conchata as Miguel and Gabriel cowered in the corner.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#18 / 2) - Conchata O'Hara and her family went with Miguel O'Hara as he was leaving for the Alchemax training facility. The young Gabriel asked if Miguel was having to leave because he was bad and Conchata replied that Miguel had been good at the wrong things. When Alchemax head Tyler Stone arrived to greet Miguel, he also greeted the stone-faced Conchata and remarked how it was always a pleasure to see her. He then assured Conchata that Miguel would be in good hands, to which Conchata responded that Miguel already had been in good hands so Stone could leave Miguel with his family. Stone answered by stating that Miguel was meant for greater things before suggesting Miguel say goodbye to his family. Stone then remarked that Miguel was nervous and promised Conchata that Miguel would stay in touch as Stone's vehicle drove away, leaving Conchata behind with Gabriel. Along the way to the Alchemax School for Gifted Youngsters, Tyler Stone questioned Miguel's attitude and how Miguel rarely showed it to his family out of fear his father might retaliate physically and Stone asked Miguel how his father might take his emotions out on the rest of the family if Miguel's actions at the School caused his father to lose the monetary advance and perks he was anticipating. A short time later, Tyler Stone asked Miguel if his father or mother ever mentioned Stone to Miguel and Miguel answered in the negative.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#23 / 2) - Conchata, George and Gabriel O'Hara visited Miguel at the Alchemax School for Gifted Youngsters and Conchata commented that it was like a prison. A smiling George told Conchata to admit that the school was wonderful and when Conchata sarcastically asked who she was to dare disagree with anything he said, George gave Conchata an angry glance. After George made a racist crack upon seeing Xina Kwan, Conchata laughed at George when Xina insulted his intelligence by tricking him into believing she was a Chinese servant girl. Conchata soon overheard Gabe crying and, upon investigating, found Gabe cowered before Kron Stone. Kron barely had time to belittle Gabe for having his mother fight his battles before Conchata slapped Kron, assuring him that she had not forgotten how to deal with creeps like him.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#26 / 2) - After George grabbed Kron himself and Tyler Stone arrived to order George to drop his son, Conchata was briefly shocked before storming right up to Stone and accusing Kron of being a bully and a thug, announcing that it would be a cold day in Hell before George apologized for grabbing Kron. Tyler Stone relented and ordered Kron to behave himself from now on, and when the Stones departed, George asked Conchata what she thought she was saying. George warned that Tyler Stone could ruin them but Conchata insisted she was trying to save George from embarrassment. Claiming Conchata's actions would flush his career down the drain, George grabbed up Miguel and Gabriel, leaving Conchata alone with her thoughts. A short time later, Conchata was still standing there, playing "Loves Me, Loves Me Not" on a flower when she was approached by Nancy Stone, Tyler's wife and mother to Kron. Conchata noticed Nancy seemed to have something on her mind and suggested Nancy speak up, at which point Nancy commended Conchata for speaking her mind and standing up to Tyler. Nancy mentioned that it took a lot of guts and class to say what Conchata had said and when she remarked on wanting to say "Good for you!" to Conchata, Conchata asked why she had not. Nancy then admitted her hopes that she and Conchata would become friends since they had a lot of things in common such as her husband Tyler. Nancy then asked a shocked Conchata not to insult her intelligence by denying her past affair with Tyler. Conchata quietly asked how much Nancy knew and Nancy revealed that she knew exactly when the affair started and ended, and about Conchata and Tyler's son Miguel. Conchata then looked Nancy right in the face and asked how Nancy could want to be her friend after knowing what she knew. Grasping Conchata's arm, Nancy commented that while she didn't have guts, she was loaded with class.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#10 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata and George eventually broke up and Conchata checked into the Wellvale Home mental facility.

(2099 Unlimited I#9 /2 (fb)) - Conchata relaxed at the Wellvale Home, smoking her illegal cigarettes and giving a sour, disapproving look.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#10 (fb) - BTS) - While at the Wellvale Home, Conchata O'Hara would dramatically feign a turn for the worse in her health so her sons would be summoned to her bedside, an act that her son Miguel ultimately grew tired of dealing with.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#9 (fb) - BTS) - At the Wellvale Home, Conchata O'Hara was visited by a doctor, who attempted to get Conchata to open up about her sons.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#9) - A week later, Conchata O'Hara was quietly working on a puzzle at the Wellvale Home when the doctor approached her and admitted her puzzle seemed quite intriguing. Asking if Conchata would like to explain the puzzle to him, the doctor soon changed the subject by suggesting they continue their discussion from a week earlier about her sons. In response, Conchata began screaming, knocking her puzzle into pieces and forcing the doctor to call for medics. Wellvale soon contacted Conchata's son Gabriel, leaving a message to inform him that Conchata had collapsed and was calling for both Gabriel and her other son Miguel. Upon receiving the message, Gabriel traveled to Miguel's apartment and informed him of the situation, interrupting a moment between Miguel and Dana D'Angelo to tell Miguel that they had to go to their mother.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#10 (fb) - BTS) -  Conchata O'Hara was placed in a hospital room at Wellvale.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#10) - Conchata was recovering in her hospital room as Gabriel, Miguel and Dana arrived to visit her. Weakly claiming it was hard to see, Conchata praised Gabriel for being a good son then asked if it were true Miguel was there. Miguel was ushered closer to Conchata, who feigned dying, but Miguel quickly suggested Conchata drop the act, as it was upsetting Dana. Dana suggested they get a doctor but an annoyed Miguel commented that he wasn't impressed and revealed knowledge that his mother was clearly not dead. With her eyes still closed, Conchata replied that she could be dead but Miguel argued that it wasn't the point. Conchata argued back that her dying was indeed the point but Miguel grumbled that the entire act was moronic. When Gabriel suggested Miguel go easy on their mother, Miguel remarked that he was tired of dealing with Conchata's drama every other month. Storming off out of her hospital bed, Conchata exclaimed that was just the attitude she would expect from Miguel and Gabriel suggested Miguel go after her to talk. Miguel soon found his mother sitting in her room smoking and he yanked the cigarette from her mouth, reminding her that cigarettes were illegal. Conchata just replied "So?" and Miguel reminded her that cigarettes could kill her, to which Conchata responded "So could children." Miguel then looked Conchata in the eyes and said he was sorry for not visiting more often but Conchata slapped him and accused Miguel of lying. Miguel then claimed that he was glad to not visit his mother more often and she slapped him again, accusing him of being fresh. Miguel then asked if she felt better and demanded to know what she wanted from him. When Conchata replied that she wanted nothing, Miguel vented that he was tired of playing games with her but Conchata commented that her drama did nothing to him because he was self-centered. She then asked why Miguel couldn't be more caring and Miguel grumbled his assumptions that he was being compared to Gabriel but Conchata admitted that she wasn't going to bring up Gabriel, as that would only lead to Gabriel being made fun of by Miguel. She then opened her closet to reveal news clippings of the heroic Spider-Man 2099, completely unaware that Miguel was Spider-Man 2099, and proclaimed that Spider-Man was a real man, unafraid to spit in the corporate eye.

Upon seeing his mother's shrine to Spider-Man, Miguel asked what if Spider-Man was just someone who got caught up in things and would be happy to return to his normal life if he could. Conchata immediately accused Miguel of trying to tear down Spider-Man like he did most things and when she exclaimed that Spider-Man was everything Miguel wasn't, Miguel informed Conchata that he was Spider-Man 2099. Conchata burst into laughter, not believing Miguel's claims despite his trying to show her his talons. Not seeing the talons in between tears of laughter, Conchata hugged Miguel and remarked that while he was still a lousy son, he seemed to be trying harder. She then thanked him for caring what she thought and walked off, leaving a confused Miguel to simply reply back "You're welcome."

(Spider-Man 2099 I#11 - BTS) - When Dana D'Angelo invited Gabriel O'Hara out to lunch, Gabriel accepted the invitation, feeling like he'd enjoy talking to Dana after the recent business with his mother.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#13 - BTS) - After Spider-Man 2099 was tossed into a portal generated by Alchemax's Virtual Unreality Program, he experienced visions of those closest to him, including one of his mother demanding to see her son.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#15) - A servant at the Wellvale Home, Tux, approached Conchata and asked if she wanted some coffee, prompting Conchata to tell Tux to keep his voice down before asking what the word on the net was. Tux informed her that a prophet of Thor had seemingly arrived and that his harbinger, Spider-Man 2099, was in downtown fighting for the little people. Conchata mused that she hadn't thought of downtown since she had "sold her soul" to get out of it. When Tux questioned what she meant by "selling her soul," Conchata revealed that she had done some wicked things in her life and while she had tried to repent, she never quite succeeded. She then admitted her feelings that Spider-Man 2099 was showing people the way to repent but noted that she was unsure of the recent "return of Thor" business. She then commented that if being downtown was good enough for Spider-Man, it was good enough for her.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#16) - Conchata secretly followed a doctor as he left the Wellvale Home for the day and when he stopped to unlock his car, she knocked him out with a brick and stole his car.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#17 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata used the doctor's car to travel to downtown.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#17 (fb)) - While web-swinging through downtown, Spider-Man 2099 noticed his enemy Bloodsword wielding the fallen hammer of Thor 2099 and soon spotted Conchata O'Hara in the crowd near Bloodsword. Unsure of how to handle the situation without arousing Conchata's suspicions that he was Spider-Man, Miguel O'Hara at first considered just going home and leaving Conchata to her own devices but he ultimately changed out of his Spider-Man 2099 costume and confronted Conchata as himself. When he tried to get her to leave, Conchata insisted that she was meant to be there and that Spider-Man 2099 would want her there. Miguel disagreed and when Conchata claimed he would just send her back to Wellvale, Miguel grabbed Conchata, prompting her to scream for help. Hearing Conchata's cries for help, Bloodsword, now calling himself Bloodhammer, summoned Miguel, who feigned respect and asked to be allowed to take Conchata with him. Bloodhammer admitted Miguel's request to take the unwell Conchata home was reasonable but he denied the request anyway and had Miguel bound and hung upside down.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#17) - Conchata pleaded with Bloodhammer to release Miguel, exclaiming that he wasn't much but he was all she had before veering off-topic about her other son Gabriel and his artistic abilities. When Bloodhammer asked if there was a point to her conversation, Conchata admitted she had forgotten the point and Bloodhammer told Miguel to say his prayers. Miguel eventually freed himself and stirred Bloodhammer's supporters into a frenzy, using the distraction to get Conchata safely out of there. Conchata led them to her car, which she admitted stealing, and once inside and on the road, she berated Miguel for lying about seeing Thor to trick Bloodhammer's followers. Revealing that she had been made to see how idiotic his followers were, believing anything they were told, Conchata explained that she knew Miguel was lying because, while she might be crazy, she was not stupid. Pausing for a moment, Miguel burst into laughter at Conchata's statement and she grumbly told him to shut up as they drove away.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#18) - Miguel returned to his apartment with Conchata, surprisingly Gabriel and Dana D'Angelo, who had thought Miguel dead at the hands of Thor 2099. When Gabriel and Dana appeared shocked, Conchata joked that perhaps they didn't like her hair that way. Miguel created a false story of surviving Thor 2099's attack thanks to Punisher 2099 and Spider-Man 2099 and Conchata immediately demanded to know what Spider-Man was like. Miguel claimed Spider-Man was nothing special but Conchata replied that Miguel himself was nothing special and reiterated her question. Making things up as he went along, Miguel suggested Spider-Man was extremely short with a large nose, at which point Conchata realized Miguel was making the story up. Gabe then asked why Conchata was there but Miguel shrugged off the question by stating it was a long story. Gabe then decided to leave, inviting Conchata to visit him at his place, and Conchata left with Gabe. At Gabe's apartment, Conchata O'Hara watched as Gabe called his girlfriend Kasey Nash and she asked if she could have a drink. Gabe offered anything there to his mother but she pulled a bottle from her jacket, took a drink and remarked that she had brought her own. She then overheard Kacey asking to take a break from Gabe and once Gabe was off the phone, he suggested she make herself at home, as he needed to be alone. Seeing Gabe in emotional pain, Conchata reminded him that whoever Kacey was, she was not worth getting depressed over.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#19) - After not hearing from Gabe for awhile, Conchata O'Hara ventured into his room and found Gabe jacked into the computer network. Worried that Gabe's net addiction had resurfaced after a long period of time, Conchata demanded Gabe remove his net helmet and when she attempted to forcibly remove her, she received an electric feedback shock. When Miguel O'Hara and Dana D'Angelo arrived to visit, Conchata answered the door with her hair frizzed out due to the shock and Miguel jokingly asked if she was trying a new look. Conchata managed to mumble that Gabe was in his bedroom and asked Miguel to help, prompting Miguel to check on Gabe himself. Finding Miguel nearly unconscious but still breathing, Miguel deduced that Gabe must have been jacked into the net with a virus disrupted the system and when Dana asked if Miguel could simply unplug Gabe, Miguel answered that he could not unplug Gabe without knowing what happened to Gabe's archetype, prompting a confused Conchata to remark that Miguel was speaking "tech stuff" again. Conchata and Dana then watched as Miguel jacked into the net to rescue Gabe's consciousness.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#20) - While Miguel and Gabe remained inside cyberspace, Conchata attempted to brush her hair back down and she asked Gabe if he had any hairspray around, only to remember that Gabe was still unconscious. She then took a swig from a flask and when Dana scolded her for doing so, Conchata offered the flask to Dana, who declined the offer, asking how Conchata could drink when she could potentially lose both of her sons. Conchata looked straight at Dana and replied that was precisely the reason she could drink. As the two continued silently watching the unconscious O'Hara brothers, Dana ultimately asked for a drink from Conchata's flask.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#22) - Noticing that Gabe was getting dusty due to not moving, Conchata knocked some dust off of his jacket and asked Dana where Gabe kept his damp clothes, only to notice Dana had dozed off. When Gabe sneezed, Conchata was relieved to learn Gabe and Miguel's consciousnesses had returned to their bodies. Conchata immediately tried to make Gabe promise to give up any computer stuff but Miguel asked Conchata to leave Gabe be. Miguel vouched for Gabe and assured their mother that Gabe could handle the occasional dabbling in cyberspace and, knowing that Miguel was Spider-Man 2099, Gabe replied that they both agreed letting an alter ego absorb their lives was a bad thing. Annoyed that Gabe was jokingly hinting as Miguel's dual identity as Spider-Man, Miguel pulled him away from Conchata and Dana into another room, where he warned Gabe against making cracks about his secret identity.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#24 - BTS) - During an attack on Alchemax by a cybernetically-enhanced Kasey Nash, Gabriel O'Hara was moved out of the battle area by Public Eye soldiers and Tyler Stone ventured outside, where he recognized Gabriel as Conchata O'Hara's son and walked away as the Public Eye soldiers rough Gabriel up.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#25) - Conchata O'Hara cared for the injured Gabriel, who asked for his mother not to suggest he seek medical attention. Conchata replied that she didn't trust doctors herself and when Gabriel expressed his thoughts about a world without Alchemax where he and Kasey were left alone, Conchata got an idea and departed, promising to return later. Venturing out, Conchata felt it was her responsibility to make things right for her sons, both of whom she felt were never that great in a fight. Paying a visit to Alchemax head Tyler Stone's mansion, Conchata was allowed to wait until Stone returned home then she confronted Stone about the Public Eye roughing up Gabriel. Stone explained how Gabriel had a gun but Conchata revealed that Gabriel was attempting to save his girlfriend. When Stone remarked that Gabriel shouldn't have criminal girlfriends, Conchata demanded that Stone release Kasey Nash, clear her criminal record and leave Gabriel and Kasey alone, prompting laughter from Stone. Conchata then revealed her knowledge that Stone had Miguel addicted to the Rapture drug but Stone claimed it was just business, at which Conchata threatened to bring Tyler Stone down if he didn't comply with her demands. Hinting at knowledge of Stone's involvement in his own ex-wife's death, Conchata threatened that she had proof of his involvement and if anything happened to her, it would go to her father. Stone accused Conchata of bluffing and when Conchata responded by asking if he had the stones to call her bluff, Stone became silent before the two embraced and shared a kiss, unaware that Spider-Man 2099 had witnessed the conversation from the shadows.

Admitting that Conchata was the only woman who was ever a match for him, Tyler Stone relented and promised to have Kasey Nash released within the hour. Stone then assured Conchata that he had never truly addicted Miguel to Rapture, as the situation had only been a three day simulation to make Miguel think he had become addicted. Sarcastically praising Stone's humanity, Conchata was informed by Tyler Stone of his "genuine affection" for Miguel and she quickly reminded Stone that he actually knew nothing of her, no more than her own son Miguel knew. She then explained to Stone that she retained animosity towards Miguel because every day, she saw more of his real father, Tyler Stone, in him. She then threatened to kill Tyler Stone if he ever told Miguel that he was his father, unaware that the shocked Spider-Man 2099 was still present in the shadows and that he had overheard everything.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#26) - Spider-Man 2099 fled, trying to come to terms with what he had overheard from his mother and Tyler Stone. Conchata, meanwhile, returned to Gabriel's apartment, where Gabriel was fretting about Kasey Nash being taken by Alchemax. Conchata assured everything would work out and, as if on cue, Public Eye flyboys dumped Kasey outside. As Gabriel helped Kasey inside, Conchata pointed out how things seemed to be working out and remarked that Gabriel should always trust his mother.

(Spider-Man 2099 II#6 - BTS) - Conchata called Gabriel O'Hara to see if he knew where his brother Miguel was. Gabriel replied that he had no idea where Miguel was and asked Conchata why she cared, as she never seemed to care about Miguel. Conchata answered that "never" was a long time and assured Gabriel that she did care. Gabe then questioned if she was claiming to care because she needed to borrow money from Miguel, at which point Conchata commented that Gabe's words were cruel. Gabe paused before reiterating his question, at which point Conchata asked Gabe to let Miguel know she called and closed the call.

(Spider-Man 2099 II#10 - BTS) - While stuck on the divergent Earth-15329, Earth-928's Spider-Man 2099 and Strange 2099 worked to make their way to the dystopian Earth-15329 ruler Maestro's time machine and as he was battling some of Maestro's guards, Spider-Man 2099 thought he had to succeed, as Gabriel, his mother and everyone else was counting on him to go back in time to fix the mess that diverged the altered Earth-928 into Earth-15329.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#30) - Conchata witnessed from afar Tyler Stone meeting Dana D'Angelo for a meal at the Holosphere restaurant and became suspicious of Tyler's true game. Later, following a battle against the deranged Flipside, Miguel O'Hara regrouped with Xina Kwan and when she mentioned that she wanted to go home, Miguel decided to stay behind, feeling as if he still needed to get away from both his mother and brother.

(2099 Unlimited I#9 / 2) - While out on patrol, Spider-Man 2099 recounted his superhuman powers, using his accelerated vision to spot a woman down on the ground, only to realize it was his mother Conchata. Recognizing from way up on the side of a building, Spider-Man 2099 wondered what Conchata was up to. Later, after he had returned home to his apartment, Miguel O'Hara thought about his close family and friends, recalling the sight of Conchata smoking a cigarette at the Wellvale Home and giving him a sour, disapproving look.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#41 (fb) - BTS) - Feeling as if Tyler Stone's seduction of Dana D'Angelo was the last straw, Conchata O'Hara became convinced that Stone had to be taken down.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#34) - Secretly following Tyler Stone and Dana D'Angelo to Washington, D.C., Conchata waited until Tyler Stone was away meeting with new president Doom 2099 before knocking out Dana and leaving her bound and gagged in her hotel bedroom.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#34 / Spider-Man 2099 I#44 (fb)) - When Tyler Stone returned to the room following a long day of meetings with Doom 2099 and apologized to Dana for it being so late, Conchata shot him multiple times and stood over him, commenting that it was later than he thought.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#34) - She then told him to rot and left the hotel room.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#35) - Conchata made her way to Crystal City just outside of Washington, where she tossed her gun into a metal recycling bin and continued walking as the bin crushed the gun.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#36 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata returned to Gabriel O'Hara's apartment in Nueva York.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#36) - When Xina Kwan arrived at Miguel O'Hara's apartment to find it empty, she reached out to his brother Gabriel but Conchata answered, informing Xina that Miguel was not there. She also mentioned that Gabriel was also not there, which she found unusual, but noted with Xina that she herself had been out and about lately. Xina then asked what Conchata had been up to and Conchata replied that she had been tying up loose ends before assuring Xina that she would tell Gabriel she called. After ending the call, Conchata began recording an audio message for Gabriel informing him that Xina had called and explaining her intent to commit suicide. In the recorded message, she also confessed to shooting Tyler Stone. Miguel later called Conchata to inform her that he had been temporarily given the position of head of Alchemax, to which Conchata remarked that he would do a fine job. Surprised at his mother's support, Miguel asked if Conchata was kidding but Conchata replied that she was sure and that they all had to do what they had to. She then wished Miguel luck and said goodbye, noting that her goodbye to Miguel and the confession of her crimes was painless. Conchata then put a gun under her chin and remarked that suicide would also be painless before a gunshot rang through the apartment.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#37) - Looking down the bullet-ridden recording of her confession, Conchata monologued that she must've been out of her mind to consider suicide over something like shooting Tyler Stone. She then thought aloud how they could put her on trial and it would be glorious to finally explain how she had been pushed to commit such a crime.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#38) - Conchata saw on television that Dana D'Angelo had been killed during a battle between Spider-Man 2099 and Venom 2099. Gabriel O'Hara returned home shortly after and Conchata attempted to console him but he was confused, unaware of the situation. Realizing Gabriel had not heard of Dana's death, Conchata explained how there was a shootout at the Escher Club and how Dana had died. An emotional Gabriel punched the television and stormed out of the apartment despite Conchata's pleas that he wait. Conchata later watched on television as Spider-Man 2099 vengefully confronted Venom 2099 once more and she cheered on Spider-Man 2099 from the living room, exclaiming her feelings that Spider-Man should kill the monstrous Venom.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#41) - After Gabriel O'Hara angrily punched out a mirror while frustrated at tying a necktie in preparation for Dana's funeral, Conchata entered the room and reminded Gabriel of the old superstition about six years bad luck for breaking a mirror. She then joked that they had enough problems as it were before asking if she should bandage his hand first or fix the necktie. A saddened Gabriel suggested Conchata decide, as he felt he'd screwed up every recent decision he'd made. Conchata calmly moved Gabriel's hand to the sink and suggested they take care of the hand first, as there was no sense getting blood on a perfectly good tie. Later, Conchata attended Dana D'Angelo's funeral, commending Gabriel O'Hara on his speech at the funeral and watching as the emotional Miguel attempted to speak, only to excuse himself to be alone.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#42 (fb) - BTS) - Conchata O'Hara visited Miguel O'Hara's Alchemax office to seek a position as his new secretary.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#42) - After Miguel stormed past Alchemax personnel and told them all to leave, the personnel became angry and sought to challenge Miguel's orders but Conchata reminded the personnel of their orders to leave. The security guard demanded to know who Conchata was and she introduced herself as Miguel's new secretary before pointing a gun to the security guard's head, threatening him until the personnel departed. She then sat down at the secretary's desk and waited there until Miguel noticed things had gotten quiet and decided to investigate. Finding his mother sitting at the desk asking for her first order of business, Miguel insisted that she couldn't be his new secretary and the whole idea was crazy. When Miguel accused Conchata of being crazy, she insisted she was the perfect barrier between Miguel and the outside world and that they were in things together. Miguel asked how she figured that and Conchata revealed that she had been the one to shoot Tyler Stone and how Miguel would not even be in charge of Alchemax if not for her actions. An extremely concerned Miguel suggested Conchata was kidding but she admitted that his seduction of Dana D'Angelo had been the last straw and he had to be taken down. Pausing for a moment, Miguel started laughing and accused Conchata of joking. Conchata grimly remarked that she was glad her claiming to have shot Tyler made him laugh, comparing his laughing to how much she had laughed when Miguel had once claimed to be Spider-Man 2099. The two then stared at one another for a short period before Miguel excused himself.

Later, when Boru, head of the Grunt Union, arrived to see Miguel, Conchata worked her way in between Boru and security and announced that Boru could make an appointment with her if he wanted to see Miguel. Boru responded by telling the "dumpy little gnome" Conchata to get out of his way, prompting Conchata to slap him across the face and tell Boru to watch his mouth. She then stared down Boru, completely unafraid of his bravado, until Boru began laughing. When he remarked that Conchata was an amusing women, Conchata sarcastically responded that she got that a lot before scheduling an appointment between Boru and Miguel for Thursday. Miguel soon returned and Boru asked if Conchata was in his employ. When Miguel reluctantly admitted that it appeared so, Boru commended Conchata's courage and remarked that she had more heart than Spider-Man, to which Conchata threatened to cancel the appointment if Boru insulted Spider-Man again. As Boru departed, Conchata suggested to a surprised Miguel that they discuss vacation days.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#43) - After learning that Conchata had taken the position of secretary for Miguel O'Hara, Gabriel O'Hara asked if Conchata was crazy and she joked back that yes, in fact, she was crazy and thought everyone was in agreement on that. Gabriel argued that she knew exactly what he meant and asked how she could work for Miguel, someone she'd always said she couldn't stand, as part of a company she hated.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#43 / Spider-Man 2099 I#45 (fb)) - Admitting that she'd always had a lot of anger bottled up but had recently been able to "blow some off," Conchata commented that she had a certain degree of making up she needed to do with Miguel and that he needed her.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#43) - When Gabe suggested Miguel needed a good swift kick, Conchata replied that perhaps her being there would be the same thing. The conversation was interrupted by a call from Boru, who wished to see how Miguel's "considerations" were going, but Conchata informed Boru that Miguel was in a conference.

Later, after Miguel had finished a meeting with some Alchemax executives, who wished to destroy the aquatic New Atlanteans, the executives argued against Miguel's actions to hold off an attack but Conchata reminded them that Miguel had said that was all. Upon seeing Conchata, the executives immediately backed down and politely exited the room. Conchata then informed Miguel that Boru had reached out to see how his concerns were being addressed. When Miguel asked her to inform Boru he would be there that afternoon, Conchata argued that Miguel should have Boru come to Alchemax to keep the advantage in his favor but Miguel argued against that before ordering Conchata to set up the meeting. Conchata reluctantly and somewhat cold-heartedly replied "Yes, sir."

(Spider-Man 2099 I#44) - Conchata ordered an Alchemax holographic assistant to find out what was happening downtown, as Miguel was there, and the assistant argued that Miguel should never have went there in the first place. Conchata replied by telling the assistant to shove it and ordered it to make sure Miguel returned in one piece. A slowly recovering Tyler Stone then entered the room, commenting that Conchata seemed to be making friends as always, and Conchata asked why Stone was there since Miguel had thrown him out. Tyler then thought back on his shooting and recalled Conchata being the assailant, prompting him to mention that he almost didn't recognize her without her gun. When Conchata claimed she didn't know what he was talking about, Tyler Stone suggested she not be coy and that he could tell she wanted to shout out her admission of guilt. Conchata responded by reminding Tyler of how he had tormented Miguel and noting her opinion that he would've destroyed Dana D'Angelo as well. Tyler insisted that he loved Dana but Conchata opted instead to venture into Miguel's inner office, warning Tyler that he had better not be there when she returned. Before Conchata entered the office, however, Tyler revealed that Miguel knew he was his father, prompting Conchata to turn back with a grim look on her face.

Miguel later returned to his office to find Conchata pointing a gun at Tyler Stone, who threatened to inform the authorities of Conchata's attempted murder of him unless Miguel turned control of Alchemax back to him. Conchata argued that Tyler Stone had already made Alchemax the authority and she reminded Tyler that she knew where bodies were buried and what Tyler had done to his departed wife. She then suggested Miguel walk away and let her deal with the situation. Miguel instead ordered Conchata to call down to the Alchemax lab to have the captured Sub-Mariner released immediately and escorted back to the ocean. Still holding a gun to Tyler Stone, Conchata questioned the orders since they were still dealing with Tyler Stone but Miguel ordered her to handle the Sub-Mariner situation now before the day got even more out of control. Alarms soon sounded throughout the building, surprising Miguel, Conchata and Tyler, and when Miguel asked what was going on, a S.H.I.E.L.D. holographically informed Miguel that the Sub-Mariner had escaped imprisonment and had been pinned in Lab 27, where the Venom symbiote was being held. As a symbiote-empowered Sub-Mariner escaped Alchemax, Conchata used the distraction to charge up her gun to fire on Tyler Stone. The gun was webbed out of Conchata's hand and a shocked Conchata demanded to know what had happened. Tyler Stone calmed informed Conchata that she had seen a webline, which was not uncommon for Spider-Man 2099. Stone then revealed that he'd known Spider-Man 2099's identity from the very beginning and had kept it a secret from everyone. Miguel then used the gun to fire on Tyler Stone, revealing his presence to be a sophisticated hologram, much to the anger of Conchata O'Hara. Miguel confirmed that Tyler did not cast a shadow and Conchata asked if Miguel had realized that before firing, only to be told he hoped so.

Conchata then told Miguel that no mother had ever loved a son as much as she did at that moment and the two hugged, with Conchata admitting her pride that her son had become a better person than she was. Miguel then suggested they take the rest of the day off and go to dinner. The two then left the Alchemax building, light-heartedly arguing about where they would eat, and Miguel wondered if perhaps Conchata had known he was Spider-Man 2099 from the very beginning, as Tyler Stone had. He then wondered about his future, noting to himself that if he could reach some degree of understanding with his crazy mother then perhaps everything else would fall into place.

(Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#1) - Following a battle with the symbiote-bonded Sub-Mariner, Miguel O'Hara returned to his Alchemax office, where Conchata informed him that the symbiote's beaten former host Kron Stone had escaped during a transport to a hospital. Explaining the situation and reminding Miguel that Kron was being transported to a hospital due to injuries suffered at Miguel's own hands, Conchata was asked to summon Alchemax's Dr. Hibby. When Dr. Hibby subsequently arrived in Miguel's office, Conchata was present as Hibby explained to Miguel how the Venom symbiote had spawned. After Miguel ordered Dr. Hibby to destroy the second symbiote, Conchata informed him that Tyler Stone was on his way and Miguel remarked that Stone wanted him to turn control of Alchemax back over. Conchata suggested that perhaps Miguel should consider turning Alchemax back over to Stone, as she felt heading up Alchemax was changing him. When she mentioned how Miguel had been blowing up at the slightest provocation and arguing with his brother Gabriel, Miguel angrily reminded his mother that he was heading up a company that could end civilization with one experiment gone wrong and suggested she just say "thank you" and get out of his office. She coolly replied with a "Thank you." and left Miguel's office as he commented back "Don't mention it."

(Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#2) - Unaware that Miguel had become bonded to the spawn of the Venom symbiote, Conchata saw Miguel in the Alchemax hallway and informed him that she had been trying to page him regarding security head Mr. Cabrese wanting to see him. Miguel asked why Cabrese needed to see him and Conchata replied that the vigilante Punisher 2099 had been killed by Venom 2099. A short time later, Conchata was interrupted to let her know Tyler Stone had arrived in the office. Sighing, Conchata asked to have Stone sent in and, using a hoverchair, Stone entered the office and remarked that Conchata was looking good. Replying that Stone looked like "180 pounds of crap," Conchata walked around to the other side of the desk, noting that she liked appearing taller than the sitting Stone, and asked what he needed. Stone claimed he wanted to speak to Miguel about stepping down so he could return to controlling Alchemax but Conchata laughed out loud in response. When Conchata accused Tyler of being the most selfish man she had ever met, Tyler responded by asking why she had slept with him, to which Conchata claimed it was because she hated her husband that much. When the escaped Kron Stone entered the room using a holosim from the Chameleon to disguise himself as Miguel O'Hara, Miguel's holographic assistant Lyla immediately confirmed this "Miguel" to be an impostor and Conchata pulled on a gun on Kron, demanding to know who he was. Kron then revealed himself as Venom 2099 as the real Miguel O'Hara walked in the room. Conchata yelled for Miguel to run away and watched in shock as Miguel manifested his own symbiote. The shocked Conchata then watched as Venom 2099 tried to goad Spider-Man 2099 into killing Tyler Stone and when Spider-Man froze up fantasizing about such an act, Conchata snapped her fingers to bring Miguel back to his senses. She then reminded him to take down Venom 2099 but Venom 2099 instead suggested Spider-Man join him instead of fighting, which would then put both Conchata and Tyler Stone at risk.

(Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#3 - BTS) - Conchata phoned Gabriel O'Hara and informed him that Miguel had been taken over by a symbiote like Venom 2099. She began to say the two symbiote-bonded superhumans were running around like brothers before she stopped herself but Gabriel insisted that Conchata continue. A sighing Conchata then reluctantly informed Gabriel that Miguel and Kron were half-brothers, the sons of Tyler Stone. A shocked Gabriel became emotional and Conchata tried to calm him down, noting that she had already lost a son that day and couldn't bear to lose another. Gabriel angrily exclaimed that she should have thought of that before screwing around on his father. Conchata tried to explain further but Gabe terminated the call.

(Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#4 - BTS) - After being nudged by Doom 2099, Gabriel O'Hara confronted the symbiote-powered Spider-Man 2099 and informed him that he was terrifying a lot of people, including their mother. Explaining how Conchata had called him for help, Gabriel revealed that Conchata had also told him about Miguel and Kron Stone being brothers.

(Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#5) - Despite having been impaled by Venom 2099, a fully recovered Gabriel O'Hara returned home to his mother, who was extremely happy to see him alive after having heard rumors of his death. Gabriel assured Conchata that rumors of his death were just that and he hugged her, assuring her he was fine as he voiced took a slightly symbiote-like tone.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#45 - BTS) - During a battle with Goblin 2099, Spider-Man 2099 prepared to unmask the Goblin, only to think back on Kasey Nash, Dana D'Angelo and Conchata O'Hara and his past interactions with them in regards to his brother Gabriel. After thinking of Conchata's recent devotion to making things right with him, Miguel realized the Goblin was Gabriel. Ranting that Miguel had taken everything from him, Gabriel reminded Spider-Man 2099 of how Kasey Nash was infatuated with Spider-Man and how Conchata, the one woman he thought would always love him, had recently forgave Miguel out-of-the-blue and abandoned him.

(Spider-Man 2099 I#46) - When Attuma and his horde of New Atlanteans stormed the Alchemax building, Conchata O'Hara and a squad of Alchemax guards attempted to hold the New Atlanteans back. One guard, Mayhew, asked how long they could keep the New Atlanteans at bay and Conchata replied that unless they could stop the New Atlanteans from totally overrunning Alchemax Tower, not a single one of them was getting out alive. When she realized she was out of ammo, Conchata engaged one of the New Atlanteans hand-to-hand with the New Atlantean commending her for being stronger than most human women he had encountered. Conchata then kicked him into two other New Atlanteans, demanding they get out of the building and leave her son's company alone. She then asked who was next as she imagined Tyler Stone on the other end of her attacks.

Later, while trying to get Father Jennifer D'Angelo safely out of Alchemax Tower, Spider-Man 2099 ran into a geared-up Conchata O'Hara, who announced that she better be paid overtime for her actions. With only minutes before Alchemax Tower was to self-destruct, Conchata helped get Spider-Man 2099 and Jennifer D'Angelo to the only transport out of the Tower. When they were blocked by Atlanteans, Spider-Man 2099 jumped in to fight them and while Conchata and Jennifer tried to get to a more safe area, Conchata asked Jennifer if, assuming they survived, she could help her son Gabriel, who seemed troubled of late. Before she could continue her request, Conchata was shot in the back by a New Atlantean soldier, prompting an angry Father Jennifer D'Angelo to pick up Conchata's gun and kill the murdering New Atlantean in retaliation. Jennifer then rushed to attend to Conchata, who admitted she would not be making it to a hospital. As she died, Conchata asked Jennifer to tell her sons that she loved them. Jennifer then ran into the other room to inform Spider-Man 2099 of his mother's passing, only to find him holding the dying Tyler Stone, who had also been shot at point break range by the Atlantean General Dagim.

Comments: Created by Peter David, Kelley Jones and Mark McKenna.

Both Conchata's eye and hair color seemed to fluctuate between issues. A majority of the time, her hair was black and her eye color was brown, but there were occasions where her hair was colored dark brown and her eyes were blue. Most of her earliest appearances had her eye color as blue but they were shown to be brown more often so I went with that on this profile. Her hair was mistakenly colored blonde in 2099 Unlimited I#9 (see above image)!

The Marvel Database Wiki states that Conchata O'Hara is mentioned in Spider-Man 2099 III#2 but I read through the entire issue and didn't see any mention of her. If I missed it and you're aware of what page, let me know and I'll make sure to get it added into the profile!

I was originally unsure where to place the "appearance" of the living Conchata seen in Spider-Man 2099 II#6 & the mention of her in Spider-Man 2099 II#10 & Spider-Man 2099 III#2, as they were published well after we saw Conchata killed in Spider-Man 2099 I#46. In addition, we know that the Earth-928 timeline was mucked up a little by the temporal shockwave that occurred at the end of the "Age of Ultron" storyline. At first, I assumed the shockwave had caused temporal fluctuations that altered the timeline of Earth-928, bringing Conchata and Tyler Stone back to life with no memories of their deaths and transforming the timeline to fit the status quo prior to certain large events occurring. However, upon reading the Tyler Stone OHotMU entry in Secret Wars: Official Guide to the Marvel Multiverse, I learned that it was confirmed that the events of Tyler Stone sending Spider-Man 2099 into the past of Earth-616 (which was Spider-Man 2099's status quo in Spider-Man 2099 II & Spider-Man 2099 III) occurred earlier in the Earth-928 timeline, prior to Conchata shooting Tyler and prior to Doom 2099 taking over America. Therefore, I have placed Conchata's Spider-Man 2099 II & Spider-Man 2099 III "appearances" as occurring prior to Spider-Man 2099 I#30 (which is the issue where she witnessed Tyler Stone & Dana D'Angelo having dinner & decides to take Tyler down. It's also prior to Doom 2099 taking over too so it fits). It's possible that these events occur a bit earlier but we do know that the damage caused by the "Age of Ultron" temporal shockwave was fixed, allowing the timeline to proceed as we originally read in the 1990s, at least until various 2099-era timelines (Earth-928 included) were eventually rewoven into a combined reality/timeline dubbed Earth-2099, an event that likely destroyed Earth-928 but that event occurred after Conchata O'Hara's death (to the best of my knowledge) so it's irrelevant to this particular profile.

While one might assume Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#1-5 takes place in the aforementioned combined Reality-2099, the storyline itself picks up right after Roman bonded to the Venom symbiote in Spider-Man 2099 I#44 and an editor's note in Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 I#1 confirms that the story continues from Spider-Man 2099 I#43, confirming that the story was indeed set on Earth-928 (actually continuing directly from Peter David's last issue on the original run of Spider-Man 2099!). Of course, Roman did not bond with the Venom symbiote until Spider-Man 2099 I#44 (not #43) so it appears the editor's note was mistaken on the actual issue. Either way, it does seem to confirm that the Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 story occurred on Earth-928 prior to its merger with other 2099 realities to form Earth-2099.

Speaking of Symbiote Spider-Man 2099, Conchata is drawn with short hair in that mini-series despite her having long hair in the original 1990s issues that both precede and follow the mini-series. One might argue that Conchata had her hair pulled up so it LOOKED shorter in Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 or you might just say it's artistic license. Also, it's a shame that Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 was Peter David's final work, though it is a good one. It's a great continuation of the Spider-Man 2099 series, picking up immediately where David had left off after Spider-Man 2099 I#44, and it fits so nicely into Earth-928's established continuity. I think that mini-series is a real testament to how great of a writer Peter David was...keeping with continuity until the end. He'll be truly missed!
