History:

(Marvel Mangaverse: X-Men - BTS) - The shape-shifting mutant Mystique was a member of the Azure, a group of mercenary mutants named for their blue skin. The Azure operated under the command of the mutant sorceress Amanda Sefton.

(Marvel Mangaverse: X-Men - BTS) - When Amanda Sefton wanted to use X-Man Rogue to destroy her archenemy the electromagnetic demon Magnus she ordered the Azure to stand guard while she performed the magical ritual.

(Marvel Mangaverse: X-Men) - As anticipated, the X-Men arrived to rescue Rogue. Mystique, wielding a large energy weapon, shot Cyclops in the face to announce their presence, triggering a fierce battle. During the chaos, Mystique used her shape-shifting powers to impersonate Sefton, successfully luring Storm away. Once isolated, Mystique revealed her true identity, prompting Storm to strike her down with a powerful lightning bolt. Mystique was reduced to a pile of bones. Soon after, Beast and Nightcrawler were also killed, clearing the way for the X-Men's final confrontation with Sefton.

Comments: Created by C.B. Cebulski, Jeff Matsuda, A.J. Jothikumar, and Andy Owens.

Due to the Asian specific nature of the Mangaverse reality, it goes without saying that while characters might look similar to their 616 counterparts, they most likely will have distinctly different names, codenames or powers. Therefore we will only list the names when they have been used in the comics.

The Mangaverse Mystique wore a red leather outfit adorned with spikes very similar to that of the Hounds.
