History:

Xenith is the cousin of Gladiator of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, and the two of them used to spar against each other, until he joined the guard. Xenith joined the Cosmic Commandos, a defensive unit of the Charter.

(Star Masters#1) - Xenith accompanied the Cosmic Commandos to the Hub, to apprehend Quasar, who had been framed for the murder of the Hub's crew. When Quasar heard from Xenith that he had supposedly confessed to the crimes, he escaped from the Commandos, but Captain Morfex took an energy reading of him, and they set a course to pursue.

(Star Masters#2) - Xenith joined the Cosmic Commandos at earth to combat Quasar and his allies the Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill. Xenith matched herself against Beta Ray Bill, and was astonished that she could not deflect his hammer, Stormbreaker. In the course of the battle, Captain Morfex was thrown out of an airlock when he came to realize that Quasar had been set up, and Xenith went to save his body-- only to find him in his true form, that of a Skrull. Morfex explained to her that they had been deceived, and she decided to join with him, Quasar, the Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill as the Star Masters, to find out who had been behind the Charter's murder.

(Star Masters#3) - After defeating the remaining Cosmic Commandos, the Star Masters set a course in the Commandos' vessel to the Hub to continue their investigation. As they prepared to set off, Xenith asked the Silver Surfer: "Say, Surfer, I was wondering...are you naked?" The Surfer replied: "My body is coated with Galactic Glaze. Why do you ask?" She answered: "I'm just a student of anatomical correctness, that's all." The Surfer remarked: "I will make a note of that."

The Star Masters found an Axi-Tun vessel at the Hub and boarded it, Xenith traveling with "Glaze-Bottom." While the Surfer fought Dampyre, Xenith fought Throk, and was defeated because of his ability to cause her to go numb whenever she struck him. The defeated Star Masters were cast into the Cauldron of Conversion, but Quasar saved them with his Quantum Bands.

(Cosmic Powers Unlimited#4) - The Star Masters regrouped and Xenith helped Quasar and Morfex set free Tana Nile. They formed another attack on the Axi-Tun vessel, using Morfex's ship as a diversion. Aboard the vessel, Xenith attempted to aid Quasar against Dampyre, but he shrugged her off. Ultimately, the ship self-destructed at the command of Lord Votan, but the Star Masters escaped. Afterward, they were honored by the Charter, and Lord Votan was revealed to all as the mastermind behind the Charter massacre.

(Cosmic Powers Unlimited#5) - Xenith joined the Star Masters on a mission to Tun to apprehend Votan, but Votan used his powers to send an army of enthralled Axi-Tun against them, and slowly sapped the willpower of the Star Masters themselves. From their prison, the Star Masters banded their willpowers to set Quasar free to distract Votan, thus enabling them to free themselves. Xenith went to give Beta Ray Bill Stormbreaker, and despite Bill's own expectations, she successfully lifted it, and threw it to him. The Star Masters then joined forces with Landar and his loyal Axi-Tun against Lord Votan, and ultimately defeated him. They then returned Votan to the Charter for punishment.

(X-Men: Kingbreaker#4 (fb) - BTS) - Xenith went mad and fought the Shi'ar Empire. Gladiator defeated her and Xenith was imprisoned for her crimes.

(X-Men: Kingbreaker#2) - Vulcan released Xenith from prison and made her the leader of the Praetorians. The Praetorians were sent after the Starjammers, which they found and attacked on one of the Clench Worlds. Xenith fought Korvus and Marvel Girl. The Starjammers escaped when the Hodinn decided to burn the planet. The Praetorians survived inside Pn'zo's forcefield. The Praetorians then followed the Starjammers to Kr'kn (an information they got through the Uncreated's telepathy).

(X-Men: Kingbreaker#3) - Xenith aka Strontian and her Praetorians teleported into the underwater prison known as the Hole on Kr'kn and found all Starjammers there. Their fight with them was interrupted by the arrival of Vulcan, Deathbird and the Imperial Guard.

(X-Men: Kingbreaker#4) - Xenith saw her cousin Gladiator and told him to kill Havok and then threatened his life. Gladiator attacked Xenith, but Gladiator stopped his attacks on her when Deathbird told him that Vulcan had pardoned Xenith. Gladiator was forced to work together with Xenith.

She was later teleported out of the prison before it collapsed under the water masses. Enemies and allies all escaped except for the Hodinn, who was killed by Imperial Guard members.

Vulcan later replaced Gladiator with Strontian at the front of the war.

(Nova IV#24) - Strontian and new Praetorians Pelagian and Warwear were sent to the planet Nil-Rast where the Imperial Guard fought the Nova Corps. They slaughtered all captured Nova Corps members after Gladiator and the Imperial Guard were gone.

(Nova IV#26) - When the Shi'ar attacked Kree-Lar Strontian murdered Lord Ravenous' consultant Orbus in the throne citadel and then defeated Ravenous himself in combat. Still distracted by her battle with Ravenous she was caught in an energy field by Nova (Robert Rider), who tried to put her under arrest for war crimes.

(Nova IV#27) - Though Robbie Rider had her on the ground and Ravenous shot her several times Strontian easily resisted the attacks and watched as Robbie started to bleed from his nose due to the strain put on him by keeping her on the ground. Strontian broke free and took down Robbie before his brother Richard and fellow Nova Corps Centurions Morrow and Irani Rael arrived to aid Robbie against Strontian. Enraged when he saw his brother Robbie on the ground Richard attacke Strontian, who only wanted to know how many more Nova Centurions she had to kill.

(Nova IV#28) - While Richard fought Strontian Irani checked on Robbie and told Richard that he was still alive. Distracted by this revelation Strontian gained the upper hand against Richard. Strontian's fellow Praetorians arrived to fight the other Nova Corps members. Richard head-butted Strontian, temporarily breaking her mental focus that made her invulnerable, then knocked her out with a single punch. The other Praetorians were soon defeated as well by Richard and the Nova Corps.

(Nova IV#30) - Strontian, the Praetorians and Ravenous were incarcerated in stasis tubes on Nu-Xandar (Ego the Living Planet).

(Love Unlimited Infinite Comic#22 - BTS) - When Wolverine was targeted by the vampiric Annika he was accosted by illusions of Jean Grey tempting him with another life. In this life Wolverine and Jean Grey would take to the stars where they befriended Xenith, Gladiator and Rocket Raccoon.

Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Scot Eaton and Bob Almond.

As Gladiator's cousin, Xenith would be the equivalent of DC's Supergirl.
