Base of Operations:

First Appearance: Star Masters#1 (December, 1995)

History: (Star Masters#1)- The Cosmic Commandos were dispatched by the Charter to apprehend the earth hero Quasar, who had seemingly confessed to the massacre of the entire crew of the Hub, the Charter's base. Quasar professed his innocence, but at first agreed to go with them, until learning of the broadcast he was believed to have made. He broke free from their restraints, and set off to learn how he had been framed. Captain Morfex took an energy reading of Quasar's powers so that they could track him.

(Star Masters#2)- The Commandos caught up with Quasar at earth, where he had been joined by the Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill to prevent a planetoid from destroying earth. The Commandos joined forces against the three heroes, while Morfex realized that the planetoid would destroy earth. Morfex disobeyed orders, and for this was deposed by his subordinate Stenth, who assumed leadership of the Commandos. Morfex, thrown from an airlock, was rescued by Xenith, who was shocked to learn that he was a Skrull. Morfex explained the problem with the planetoid, and she agreed to leave the Cosmic Commandos with him. The two of them formed the Star Masters with Quasar, Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill.

(Star Masters#3)- The newly-formed Star Masters then finished their clash with the Cosmic Commandos, and took them captive aboard their own ship, but they proved to know nothing about the attempt to destroy earth.

Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Scot Eaton, and Bob Almond.

Stenth was an Axi-Tun who served aboard the Cosmic Commandos' vessel. When Morfex turned his attention toward the planetoid heading for earth, Stenth reported on him to the Charter to force him to continue in the apprehension of Quasar. When Morfex refused, Stenth struck him over the head. He was surprised to find that Morfex was a Skrull, but assumed leadership of the Cosmic Commandos and threw Morfex out an airlock. Stenth was presumably taken captive with the rest of the Cosmic Commandos following their defeat by the Star Masters.
