History:

(Spider-Verse III#3/2) - Disabled, the person who would become Sun-Spider used an ambulatory wheelchair and at some point developed hyperflexibility.

(Instagram online post by Dayna Broder/Spider-Verse III#3/2) - Deciding to use her hyperflexibility as a crimefighter, Sun-Spider required crutches in battle for extra stability. Still able to kick criminal butt in her own modified way, Sun-Spider used adaptive technology to allow for the projection of chemical webbing from her crutch tips.

(Spider-Verse III#6 (fb) - BTS) - Sun-Spider was recruited alongside several other Multiversal Spider-totems to assist in locating Earth-18119's Spiderling, patternmaker of the Great Web of Life and Destiny.

(Spider-Verse III#6 (fb)) - Sun-Spider was present on Earth-001 as Earth-19166's Spider-Zero located Spiderling trapped within a tangle in the Great Web.

(Spider-Verse III#6) - Sun-Spider accompanied the other assembled Spider-totems to the tangle in the Great Web, where they attempted to unravel it. When the Great Web responded by opening portals to Earth-51778 and unleashing a swarm of Machine Bem Monsters, Sun-Spider and the other Spider-totems leaped into battle against the creatures. During the battle, Sun-Spider used webbing fired from her crutches to ensnare one of the monsters and slam it into another monsters. She continued helping hold off the Machine Bem Monsters as Spider-Zero and Earth-1610's Spider-Man (Miles Morales) freed Spiderling from the Great Web tangle. Spiderling then began repairing the Great Web, banishing the Machine Bem Monsters and opening portals to send Sun-Spider and the other Spider-totems back to their home realities.

Sun Spider was the winner of Marvel's Spidersona contest and appeared in the back-pages of Spider-Verse (2020). "Spidersona" was a hashtag that launched around the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Amazed at the talent of creativity of people posting their creations online, Marvel reached out to some of these artists to create new Spidersona art especially for the Spider-Verse (2020) series. Every issue showcased several original pieces of Spidersona art by artists from around the globe after which most appeared in the story as well. Sun Spider us set ti return in her own story in the upcoming Edge of the Spider-Verse II#4 in 2022.

Sun-Spider's origin was never revealed but one can presume she might be a human mutate like many other Spider-totems.

Despite having art of Sun-Spider outside of her costume, we were never given a real name for her civilian identity. Additionally, the art does not show a specific eye color for her civilian identity. When first appearing online, Sun-Spider was spelled "Sunspider" (without the hyphen) but a hyphen was added when Sun-Spider was first seen in a Marvel comic.
