History:

(Spider-Verse III#1/2 (fb) - BTS) - Named after the Greek muse of dance, puppeteer Polymnia Swan at some point acquired a scar on her face.

(Spider-Verse III#1/2) - Somehow gaining the superhuman powers of a Spider-totem, as well as the ability to control and animate her handmade puppets, Polymnia took the alias of Spider-Requiem, concealing her scarred face and identity beneath a mask and artfully staging her battles.

(Spider-Verse III#6 (fb) - BTS) - Spider-Requiem was recruited alongside numerous other Multiversal Spider-totems to assist in locating Earth-18119's Spiderling, patternmaker of the Great Web of Life and Destiny.

(Spider-Verse III#6) - After Earth-19166's Spider-Zero discovered that Spiderling was trapped inside a tangle in the Great Web, Spider-Requiem and the other Spider-totems converged on the tangle and attempted to unravel it, with Spider-Requiem sending her puppets to attack the tangle at its source. When the Great Web defended itself by opening portals to Earth-51778 and unleashing a slew of Machine Bem Monsters, Spider-Requiem and the other totems fought the Machine Bem Monsters. Spider-Requiem danced her way through the battle, sending her puppets to directly engage the Machine Bem Monsters and helping hold them at bay while Spider-Zero and Earth-1610's Spider-Man (Miles Morales) freed Spiderling from the tangle. Upon being freed, Spiderling began correcting the tangle and sent Spider-Requiem and the other Spider-totems back to their home realities.

Comments: Created by Cotton Valent.

Spider-Requiem is one of several Spidersona's who appeared in the back-pages of Spider-Verse (2020). "Spidersona" was a hashtag that launched around the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Amazed at the talent of creativity of people posting their creations online, Marvel reached out to some of these artists to create new Spidersona art especially for the Spider-Verse (2020) series. Every issue showcased several original pieces of Spidersona art by artists from around the globe after which most appeared in the story as well.

It was not revealed how Spider-Requiem acquired her Spider-totem/puppet animation abilities but presumably, she was mutated like many other Spider-totems.
