History:
(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1 (fb) - BTS) - Sally became engaged to Ben Grimm, who considered Sally the most understanding girl in the world. At some point, she gave Grimm a photo of herself with the inscription "I'll love you forever!" written on it.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#1) - After losing his job, Grimm tried to drown his sorrows at the Runway Bar, where he pulled out a photo of Sally and wondered what he would say to her. Remarking that it would be nice to take Sally on a nice honeymoon to somewhere where they put fruit in the drinks, Grimm wondered how that would even be possible without a job. Later, after Grimm was transformed into a rock-skinned creature by cosmic radiation during a secret test of Dr. Reed Richards' Cassandra 4 rocket, the newly transformed Grimm muttered Sally's name and commented that no one could love such a "bag of gravel." Unaware that Grimm had been transformed, Sally grieved for years, wondering what had happened to her fiancee.

Not long after Grimm publicly debuted as part of the heroic Fantastic Four, he walked by Sally's home as she longingly looked at a photo of the human Ben Grimm and burst into tears. Not long after, Grimm agreed to transfer his newfound powers to Dr. Ricardo Jones and he decided to visit Sally in his newly returned human form. Wondering if it had been too long and if Sally would even remember him now, Grimm walked up to Sally's front door with flowers, only to be transformed back into his rocky form. Depressed once more, Grimm walked away from Sally's door, never knocking and leaving his tattered shirt on the ground.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#4 (fb) - BTS) - After Ben Grimm had become a celebrity of sorts with the heroic Fantastic Four, Sally watched Ben saved the world on television for years, all the while wondering why he never came to see her. Eventually, Sally got married and had three children. One day while one of her children was in college, she decided to write a letter asking Ben to meet her by the lake.

(Fantastic Four: Life Story#4) - Ben reluctantly decided to meet up with Sally in Central Park and when Sally walked up to the rock-skinned hero, she remarked on how glad she was that he came. She then presented Ben with flowers and the two sat and discussed how Sally had always wondered why Ben had never came to see her. Ben admitted that he felt he couldn't see her looking the way he did and that she would never be happy with someone like him. As the two caught up on each other's lives, Ben learned Sally had gotten married and had three kids. After a long day of catching up, Sally eventually said her goodbyes to Ben, hugging him and saying how nice it was to see him again. Despite being glad to see Sally happy, Ben secretly still missed her and became lonely.
