History: (Exiles III#9 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Moussa sustained an eye injury that left a scar across his right eye. Moussa later loaned the boy Aladdin two silver dinars and after receiving the money, Aladdin proved difficult to locate. In order to get his money back, Moussa and his agent Ox began searching all over Baghdad for Aladdin.

(Exiles III#9) - When the reality-hopping Exile Blink of Earth-295 was transported to Earth-38191 and forced into the role of Aladdin, Moussa and Ox spotted Blink and assumed she was Aladdin. Proclaiming that he had been looking all over for Aladdin, Moussa asked if Blink had been dodging him when Aladdin owed him a full two silver dinars. Ox immediately suggested he and Moussa take the money out of Blink's hide but Moussa, still thinking Blink was Aladdin, calmly threatened "unpleasantries" should Aladdin not have the money he owed. When Blink tried to explain that Moussa had her mixed up with someone else, Moussa exclaimed "Wrong answer, boy!" and pulled out his two scimitars. As Moussa slashed his swords, Blink teleported behind the two men and banged their heads together, knocking both men unconscious, unaware that the events were being watched by the sorcerer Hakeem Strange.

Comments: Created by Saladin Ahmed, Javier Rodriguez and Alvaro Lopez.

It was never stated exactly what year the events on Earth-38191 took place. The closest we got was a note of events occurring in "medieval Baghdad" and, according to my historical research, the golden age of Baghdad as one of the largest cities in the world was anywhere between the mid-700s A.D. through around 1300 A.D. or so. Since Moussa mentions Aladdin owing him two silver dinars, which was first used in the late 7th century, it seems to fit in at least the mid-700s and Baghdad was at its height in size around the 1000s. Therefore, I placed the events a little before that, settling on an assumption of occurring sometime around the late 10th century, possibly early 11th century or even into the 12th.

Earth-38191's Moussa
should be distinguished from:

Ox

Ox was a staff and sword-wielding agent of Moussa who assisted Moussa in searching for Aladdin, who owed Moussa money. When the two found the reality-hopping Earth-295 Blink, who had been forced into the role of Aladdin, Ox suggested they take the money out of "Aladdin"'s hide but Moussa calmed Ox down and commented that "Aladdin" would surely have his money. Blink tried to convince them that she was not Aladdin but Moussa tried to slice Blink with his swords, prompting Blink to teleport behind Moussa and Ox and knock their heads together.
