History: (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#32) - A group of unlikely friends out for an evening together went to the "Be a Super Hero" escape room, many of them ironically superheroes themselves, and they watched Howard the Duck and others leaving as they arrived. Instructed by the room's owner, Mr. Jomo (secretly the extradimensional Mojo II), who was wrapped in bandages to hide his true identity, to come up with superhero code names, Koi Boi chose the name Captain Crimehater, Brain Drain chose Dr. Musclefists the Man Whose Muscles Have Their Own Fists, Kraven the Hunter chose the Hunter, Squirrel Girl chose Lady Crimepocalypse, Nancy Whitehead chose Nautical Nancy, and Chipmunk Hunk chose Zorro 2: Better Than Zorro. The team called themselves the Justice Pals, and Jomo explained the escape room theme that they were all-new super heroes forming as a team for the first time, and that the escape room was their team headquarters, which had been filled with traps set by villains. Jomo gave them one hour to figure out all the puzzles and traps in the room. Inside, one clue instructed them to look through the window left by "Captain Amazo," presumably one of their fictional villains. When Jomo realized they had actual superhuman powers in the group, he unlocked more deadly traps and puzzles for them to face, beginning with spiked walls closing in on them.

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#33) - Lady Crimepocalypse used her powers to bite through the spiked walls, freeing the team. The Justice Pals then took time to recount what each of their powers and skills were, then used those unique talents to survive the next several traps and puzzles. Special skills utilized included Captain Crimehater's abilities to breathe underwater, Zorro 2's expanding cheek pouches, Super-Powers Woman's knowledge of defusing bombs, Nautical Nancy's computer programming skills, Dr. Musclefists' robotic reflexes and super-rotating hands, the Hunter's spear-throwing skills and knowledge of Russian etiquette, and Lady Crimepocalypse's night vision. Jomo soon revealed himself as Mojo II, and stated he was broadcasting the events in the escape room to the puzzle channel in the Mojoverse to try to gain power. The Hunter frightened Zorro 2, who screamed out a sonic blast in fear that took Mojo II down. The Justice Pals then tied Mojo II up, gathered up the recordings of their adventures, and departed.

The Justice Pals apparently disbanded after their adventures in the escape room but who knows what the future might bring! Perhaps the world will one day need the assistance of the Justice Pals! --Proto-Man

"Be a Super Hero" escape room

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#33 (fb) - BTS) - Mojo II, seeking to gain ratings back in the Mojoverse, set up a super hero themed escape room in New York City, calling it "Be a Super Hero," where civilians could pretend to be heroes as they solved puzzles. Mojo II, who used the cover identity of Mr. Jomo, recorded the footage and sent it back to the Mojoverse for a 24-hour puzzle channel.

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#32) - After Howard the Duck finished the escape room with other civilians, Squirrel Girl arrived to do the room with her allies, including Mary Mahajan, Nancy Whitehead, Kraven the Hunter, Koi Boi, Brain Drain, and Chipmunk Hunk. They created fun alter egos and called themselves the Justice Pals as they entered the room. Soon, Mojo II activated deathtraps.

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#33) - The Justice Pals used their combined skills to escape the room, and Mojo II was apprehended.

Captain Amazo (of Earth-18779)

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#32 - BTS) - The super-villain Captain Amazo helped other villains fill a superhero headquarters with traps, apparently leaving behind a window in one of the rooms. His misadventures were later recounted as a fictional story on Earth-616 when the extradimensional Mojo II designed an escape room where civilians could pretend to be superheroes and used Earth-18779 events as the escape room theme.
