History:
(Daredevil V#27 (fb) ) - Lu Wei had a son, Sam Chung, in rural China, and he spent his infant years strapped to her back while she worked on a farm, feeding chickens. As soon as she could, Lu Wei moved to the city, and she worked hard to keep Sam enrolled in a school that trained acrobats for the Peking Opera, and Sam spent years in this harsh training, learning how to use his body. In time, Lu Wei paid every yuan she had to be smuggled in a container aboard a ship, where she and Sam were stuck for weeks before they arrived in New York City.

(Daredevil V#27 (fb) - BTS) - Lu Wei had her daughter Hannah Chung after moving to the United States, but she never revealed who Hannah's father was.

(All-New, All-Different Marvel Point#1/6 (fb) - BTS) - When Sam was 12 years old, he put together a design for an invisibility suit, and he kept working on it through much of his childhood.

(Daredevil V#26 (fb) - BTS) - When their mother Lu Wei went missing, after joining the Church of the Sheltering Hands, Sam Chung and his sister Hannah were left to fend for themselves as illegal immigrants in New York City.

(All-New, All-Different Marvel Point One#1/6 (fb) - BTS) - Sam realized that it was far too expensive for him to file a patent on his invisibility suit, and that his design could easily be stolen by a larger company if he wasn't careful. Sam got a job for 11 dollars an hour working as a janitor at Columbia University for 14 hours per shift. Hannah regularly teased him for his job, saying he should just marry an American girl and attend the university as a student. Sam took the job so he could audit classes from professors, and get extra lab time at night to work on his suit, keeping it maintained. He began going out in his suit at night to patrol Chinatown, and he called himself Blindspot.

(All-New, All-Different Marvel Point One#1/6) - Sam spent the evening researching super heroes and he wondered how they balanced their lives with being heroes. After only two hours sleep, Sam was awakened when Hannah came in from the club looking for food. As Sam complained about his busy schedule, Hannah continued to tease him about his life, saying it was his job to take care of her. Going out as Blindspot later, Sam ran into Daredevil fighting thugs. Startled, Sam fell over the edge of the roof, but Daredevil saved him.

(Daredevil V#2 (fb) - BTS) - Sam finished his Blindspot suit and began training with Daredevil every night. Daredevil was rough on Blindspot, pushing him to his limits.

(Daredevil V#2 (fb) - BTS) - Sam's mother became a member of the Eights, a specialized warrior group of the Church of the Sheltering Hands. She had eight fingers total on each hand after fingers were grafted on. As a personal guard to Tenfingers, the leader of the church who had ten fingers on each hand, she vouched for Sam Chung, advocating for him to be a trusted member of the church.

(Daredevil V#2 (fb) - BTS) - Finding out how corrupt the Church was, Blindspot opened up to Daredevil about it all, encouraging the hero to shut it down. Daredevil instead encouraged Blindspot instead to reach out to attorney Matt Murdock to take legal action against the church. Blindspot directed church member Billy Li to Matt to testify against the church. Blindspot also started a social media account for himself as a hero and acquired many followers.

(Daredevil V#1 (fb) - BTS) - Blindspot began training with Daredevil regularly as he grew accustomed to using his invisibility suit in combat and perfecting his fighting skills. Sam Chung infiltrated the Church of the Sheltering Hands, getting a regular audience with Tenfingers.

(Daredevil V#1) - Daredevil saved Church member Billy Li from being killed, and Blindspot, after stopping to buy more batteries for his suit, joined Daredevil in the fight. Daredevil told Blindspot to be there to train at 2 AM, telling Blindspot his training would be over when he could best Daredevil in combat. Later, Sam returned to the Church, where Tenfingers ordered Onehand, Nonefingers, and Sam Chung to kill Li and his lawyer, Matt Murdock, in the courtroom the next day.

(Daredevil V#2) - With Nonefingers and others watching him, Sam went to the courthouse, where he was expected to kill Li and Murdock. Blindspot snuck into the room where Li was being held and he severed fingers from Li's hands, then he fled, leaving Li alive, knowing he wouldn't talk. Back at the Church, Tenfingers was incredibly disappointed that Sam had disobeyed his orders, even though Sam claimed he was only trying to protect the church. Sam's mother vouched for him, then Tenfingers gave him another chance. That night, Blindspot sparred with Daredevil, who knocked off the suit's invisibility component as he pressured Blindspot to get better at defending himself without relying on gimmicks. Later, Blindspot remained invisible while Daredevil went to the church, but just then members of the Hand attacked.

(Daredevil V#3) - Blindspot helped Daredevil fight the Hand, as the Eights protected Tenfingers. The Hand soon fled. On their own, Daredevil explained to Blindspot how dangerous the Hand was, and how everyone in the church was in danger, and Blindspot revealed that he'd been wounded in the battle. Unable to afford healthcare, Blindspot was referred by Daredevil to the Night Nurse for treatment, and he told Blindspot he'd graduated combat training.

(Daredevil V#4) - Blindspot went to the church, where he found members giving all they had as donations. After finding Lu Wei kissing Tenfingers, Sam asked to speak to her privately, and he expressed his doubts about the church. Lu Wei called Sam unbelieving and unfaithful. Sam revealed that he was Blindspot, and Lu Wei lashed out at him. Just then, the Fist, a demon summoned by the Hand, attacked.

(Daredevil V#5) - Tenfingers realized that Sam was Blindspot. Tenfingers ordered the doors of the church locked, then he armed himself with guns to fight the creature. Blindspot sent out a message to Daredevil through his social media followers. Daredevil arrived to battle the Fist as Blindspot got the innocents, including Mr. Chen, to safety, but the Eights attacked, having been ordered by Tenfingers to kill them. Blindspot stood against them, his invisibility soon knocked out by a shruiken, and he kept fighting until Lu Wei turned on the other Eights, killing them. Lu Wei departed, telling Blindspot not to come after her. After killing the Fist, Daredevil found Tenfingers hanging on a wall, all four of his limbs severed. Daredevil told Blindspot though this battle was done, they weren't finished fighting for Chinatown.

(Daredevil V#6 (fb) - BTS) - Planning to meet Elektra, Daredevil invited Blindspot to stay in the shadows and watch.

(Daredevil V#6) - When Blindspot saw Elektra fighting Daredevil savagely, he tried to intervene, but she easily knocked Blindspot back and broke his arm. Daredevil yelled for Blindspot to go to the Night Nurse and let him handle things.

(Daredevil V#7 (fb) - BTS) - Blindspot went to Night Nurse, but refused to let her cut his costume above the break, so she had to remove it over the break, causing him pain. She then treated the break.

(Daredevil V#7) - Blindspot woke and heard Night Nurse talking to Daredevil on the phone, expressing concern about his multiple injuries. Blindspot told Daredevil that he could take a month off of work as he'd saved up his time, but he worried about paying his bills, so Daredevil recommended he go see Matt Murdock about a filing job at the prosecutor's office.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#1) - Daredevil asked Blindspot to help protect Sergey Antonov, a killer who was in police custody and being hunted by the Punisher. Blindspot secured himself, invisible, on top of the transport van, but then Punisher attacked in his own weaponized van, ripping the door off the back. Daredevil arrived to help fight him.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#2) - Blindspot and the police got Antonov and Daredevil (who Blindspot refused to leave behind) to safety, and Punisher was briefly waylaid. Shortly after that, Antonov's men attacked, knocking the van off the road and rescuing Antonov. As Daredevil battled the men to save civilians, Blindspot went after Antonov, but the Punisher soon intervened, killing some of the criminals.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#3) - As Daredevil battled the armed men, Blindspot protected Antonov from the Punisher. Invisible, Blindspot fought Punisher, soon grabbing his gun, but Punisher got the upper hand. When he came to, he saw Antonov and Punisher falling off a roof.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#4) - Daredevil narrowly saved Antonov from falling, then ran after him, leaving Blindspot to call the police to try and contain the Punisher, who was holding a brick on the wall to stop from falling. Blindspot found Daredevil battling Antonov, and stopped his mentor from choking the villain.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#5) - After Daredevil reassured Blindspot's doubts about letting Antonov live, Blindspot and Daredevil got Antonov on top of a subway to ride to the airport.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#6) - While they rode the subway, the heroes were attacked by Crimson Dynamo, who sought to rescue Antonov. As Daredevil battled the villain, Blindspot rushed off to call police.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#8 (fb) - BTS) - Blindspot teamed up with the airport police and marshals.

(Daredevil/Punisher: Seventh Circle Infinite Comic#8) - Daredevil called Blindspot for help, asking him to secure the Crimson Dynamo and Punisher outside the airport. Blindspot then spotted Antonov in the airport, taking hostages to avoid the police. Using his invisibility, Blindspot battled Antonov, then Daredevil knocked him out, sending him on to face justice in Texas.

(Daredevil V#10 (fb) - BTS) - Sam took the filing job and spent time at the office working with Foggy Nelson and Matt Murdock. He worked there for two months, getting exercise by climbing and doing gymnastics in the elevator shaft. Blindspot also set up an area in Chinatown where citizens could leave him notes to ask for help.

(Daredevil V#10) - Sam checked in with Murdock before he left for the evening, then he went to get the cast off his arm and planned on going to patrol. Sam was shocked and pleased when Murdock offered him a more permanent position, meaning Sam wouldn't have to go back to being a janitor. Dressing as Blindspot again, Sam received a mysterious card that invited him to a "battle" session, but when he showed up, he found a giant mural painted out of blood with a corpse in front of it. Blindspot called Daredevil for help, and the two surveyed the scene of the crime. Daredevil determined that the blood used was from 113 corpses.

(Daredevil V#11 (fb) - BTS) - Blindspot and Daredevil worked for weeks to find details on the victims and their killer.

(Daredevil V#11) - Matt was notified by the prosecutor's office that another mural had been found, and he took Sam with him to investigate. After meeting Officer Scott, Matt and Sam were shown a horrible scene of monstrous Inhuman corpses in poses that were meant to demonstrate mundane activities. Matt then rushed off to make a phone call, he said.

(Daredevil V#12) - Sam saw the Inhuman cops, led by Frank McGee, arrive to identify the corpses, and Matt soon returned. Later, back in the courtroom, Sam saw Muse attack, killing people there, and he called Daredevil for help.

(Daredevil V#13) - Over the phone, Daredevil initially told Sam to not fight Muse, but Muse said there were hostages and Daredevil told him to be careful and to not die. Sam saw Muse kill a cop and take the judge outside, then he put on his Blindspot suit and snuck up on Muse, but Muse set off fireworks to cover his own escape into the sewers. After checking with Daredevil, Blindspot followed and found Muse had Judge Laird, Officers Menendez and Scott, and Andrea Pearson tied up and ready to be murdered. After Muse slashed Laird, Blindspot revealed himself and stopped Muse's blade from killing him, then he fled into the tunnels with Muse pursuing him. As Muse taunted him, Blindspot returned and freed the hostages, then got them to safety. As his invisibility batteries died, Blindspot left a phone ringing for Daredevil on the surface, returning to the tunnels to fight Muse.

(Daredevil V#14 (fb) - BTS) - Muse apprehended Blindspot.

(Daredevil V#14) - Muse took Blindspot back to his home, where severed body parts were arranged as art, and Blindspot saw evidence that Muse had been the one to kill Tenfingers. Daredevil attacked and Muse swiftly gouged out Sam's eyes and then tossed him from the roof, letting Daredevil save him. Weak, Blindspot told Daredevil he believed Muse still had living victims in the building, so Daredevil rushed to save the victims, finding over 100 of them still alive. Frank McGee and the police from New Attilan arrived to arrest Muse, and they promised to get Blindspot medical help, taking him back to New Attilan with them.

(Daredevil V#15) - Blindspot lay in the hospital sleeping, recovering from his injuries with bandages over his eyes.

(Daredevil V#16 - BTS) - Lu Wei checked Sam out of the hospital when Murdock wasn't there.

(Daredevil V#27 (fb) - BTS) - Lu Wei took Sam to an ancient temple in China where the demonic Beast of the Hand dwelled, and she traded her soul to the Beast so that Sam's eyes would be restored. After hearing his mother scream, Sam realized he could see again. Sam began training with the Beast's ninjas in the Hand, getting better at combat.

(Daredevil V#26 (fb) - BTS) - Residents of Chinatown, including Lily Wen, continued to leave Blindspot notes while he was gone, and Daredevil began handling some of the claims, using Hannah to read him the text. Blindspot left Daredevil a card directly, asking him to come to China and help him.

(Daredevil V#26) - Daredevil found the temple of the Beast in China, using the directions Sam had provided him, but there he was attacked by a group of the Hand, with Sam leading them.

(Daredevil V#27 (fb) - BTS) - Sam had Daredevil unmasked and thrown into a pit. He was surprised to learn Daredevil was Matt Murdock.

(Daredevil V#27) - When Daredevil woke up, Sam told him about his origins. Days passed, and Daredevil kept hearing Tenfingers scream from the temple; Sam revealed that the Beast kept resurrecting Tenfingers and killing him all over again. Weeks passed and Blindspot continued visiting Daredevil every day, and eventually gave him his mask back. Sam gave Daredevil a pick to escape his cage, but when Daredevil escaped, Sam had him captured and taken before the Beast. Sam revealed to Daredevil that he'd agreed to trade Daredevil's soul to the Beast for that of Lu Wei.

(Daredevil V#28) - The Beast conjured the demon Tongue of the Beast, who began torturing Daredevil with the Hand. Lu Wei tried getting Blindspot to leave, telling him how rare it was that they actually survived this encounter, but Blindspot chose to go back and help the hero. Lu Wei grabbed a bow and arrows and told Blindspot to run, then she was eaten by the Beast entirely. He then let Blindspot and Daredevil go and teleported his entire temple away. After crying out for his mother, Blindspot returned to the city with Daredevil, confiding his frustrations about being an illegal immigrant in America. Daredevil pulled strings with the embassy and got permission for Sam to stay in the States for one full year. They then returned to New York City, where they found out that Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, had been elected mayor.

(Daredevil I#596) - On the run from the cops, Daredevil asked Blindspot to meet him on a rooftop. There, they switched suits, and Daredevil used Sam's invisibility to get away. Sam wanted to take down the Kingpin, but he worried about his place in the country.

(Daredevil I#597) - Blindspot found a mural in the city painted by Muse, just as Daredevil called to tell him that Muse had escaped.

(Daredevil I#599) - Blindspot waited while Daredevil used his hyper-senses to search for Muse, Blindspot went off to search for Muse on his own, refusing to promise Daredevil that he wouldn't do so. While working on his suit, Sam saw Hannah come in, shocked to see him after months of silence. He explained that he had his sight back and that their mother was still in China, then he said goodbye to her and went off to confront Muse. After painting over Muse's Daredevil art, Blindspot was shocked to see Muse there, and Muse promptly pushed him off the building.

(Daredevil I#600) - Blindspot caught himself before falling to his death and attacked Muse, who broke Blindspot's arm before the Beast of the Hand influenced Blindspot, giving him strength to fight back against Muse. Blindspot defeated Muse but refused to kill him, and Muse ran into the fire nearby, wanting to go out on his own terms. The fire seemingly killed him.

(Daredevil I#602) - Blindspot went rushing to City Hall when the Hand attacked the city. Matt had been appointed acting mayor after Mayor Fisk was injured, and he convinced his guards that Blindspot was his bodyguard. Daredevil and Blindspot ran off to protect police officers, including Cunningham, from the Hand. Blindspot was wounded as they rushed to save lives, and they discovered everyone missing through a large pit in the building.

(Daredevil I#603) - Blindspot met Matt and Foggy Nelson on the rooftops, where they realized that the Hand had unleashed a gas attack on the city, and Matt collapsed. Soon Father Jordan arrived to help.

(Daredevil I#604) - Jordan ordered Cornish, Blindspot, Nelson, and the others to leave the room. Later, Murdock went with the Ordo Draconum to battle the Hand, leaving Blindspot behind to protect City Hall. Soon, Mayor Fisk returned to claim his position, shocking the others.

(Daredevil I#605) - The Beast closed in on City Hall, demanding Blindspot surrender. Passing the police, including Commissioner Karnik, Blindspot revealed his real identity and that he'd killed Muse, and the police stood with him. The Beast pushed the attack, and they were soon joined by Daredevil, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Elektra, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and the Ordo Draconum. With the Beast defeated by Daredevil, Blindspot was invited to join the Ordo Draconum.

(Man Without Fear#2) - After Matt was nearly killed by a truck, Sam visited him in the hospital and was shocked to hear that Matt had no intention of putting his Daredevil costume on again. Sam left, hurt and angry.

(Daredevil VII#12 (fb) - BTS) - The Beast of the Hand began invading Blindspot's dreams, demanding repayment. Stick sought out Blindspot and gave him a special weapon that would kill the Beast, then he told Blindspot to watch over a portal in Japan called the Siege Infernal. Sam stayed there for months.

(Daredevil VII#12) - Daredevil sought out Blindspot and, after hearing his story, relieved him of his duty, sending him back to New York to live with his sister.
