Connected to the Beast, who possessed powers of resurrection and tremendous influence over the ninjas of the Hand, the Tongue likely also has powers of durability, healing, and even resurrection.

History:
(Daredevil V#28 (fb) - BTS) - The demonic Beast of the Hand wielded tremendous power among the ninja clan, the Hand. The Beast conjured a large temple of worship for himself to dwell in in mainland China with his servants, including Lu Wei and Blindspot, living there with him. The Beast regularly conjured his demonic familiar, the Tongue of the Beast, to torture the mortal Tenfingers, a man who had tried to steal power from the Beast. The Tongue used its powers to torture and kill Tenfingers, then the Beast would resurrect him repeatedly.
(Daredevil V#28) – The Beast coughed up the Tongue, who used his powers to begin torturing the captive Daredevil, but the hero chose to fight back. The Hand attacked Daredevil, badly wounding him, and the Tongue continued fighting until Blindspot joined Daredevil in fighting back. In the end, Lu Wei sacrificed herself to the Beast, who consumed her entirely, then the Beast teleported his entire temple, including the Hand and the Tongue, away completely, letting Daredevil and Blindspot go free.
