History: (Uncanny X-Men I#211 - BTS) - Through unrevealed circumstances, the mutant who would become known as Cybelle was cast out of regular society. She found and joined the Morlocks, an underground mutant community who made a home for themselves in the sewer tunnels of New York.

(New Mutants: Lethal Legion I#2 - BTS) - Cybelle met and befriended Jared Flyn, a Morlock with the mutant ability to create fragrant scents.

(Uncanny X-Men I#211) - When Mr. Sinister ordered his henchmen, the Marauders, to the Alley to exterminate the Morlocks, Cybelle and her friends were attacked by Arclight, Harpoon, Riptide, Scalphunter, Scrambler and Vertigo. Even though she was surprised by their attack, Cybelle was the only one of her group to survive the initial onslaught, escaping with an arm injury. Fighting against her pain and tears, Cybelle managed to use her acid to burn her way to safety. As she made her way through massive stone, Cybelle yelled out for Callisto, hoping her screams would reach the Alley's inner circle. However, Arclight used her vibrational powers to collapse the tunnels, making Cybelle an easy target for Harpoon, whose energy lances killed her. Cybelle's warnings did reach Callisto, who was busy gathering the Morlocks to counterattack. Despite the X-Men's aid, they didn't fare too much better than Cybelle.

SECRET WARS III HAPPENED

(Hellions#1 - BTS) - Following the Krakoan resurrection protocols, Cybelle was among the many mutants resurrected by the Five (Egg, Elixir, Proteus, Hope Summers, Tempus). Cybelle was one of many who accepted the invitation to remain on the sovereign mutant island nation, ruled by the Quiet Council.

(Hellions#1) - Learning Scalphunter of the Marauders was also living on Krakoa, Cybelle met up with her fellow resurrected Morlocks friends to confront the assassin on the the anniversary of the mutant massacre. However, during the confrontation, Scalphunter showed no remorse and assembled a large assault weapon prompting Callisto to send Cybelle and the others to kill him noting that whoever would fall would be reborn. Cybelle and the others were presumably killed and subsequently resurrected. To punish Scalphunter for his actions he was grafted onto Mr Sinister's Hellions team amongst other undesirables.

(Hellions#10 - BTS) - When the Hellions were captured by Arcade and Mastermind, Scalphunter was submerged into a scenario where he killed a group of civilians in a war. However, the civilians then changed into the Morlocks, Scalphunter was shocked to see Cybelle, Ape, Erg, Masque, Tommy and others dead. However, Tommy and Cybelle turned into blood-thirsty zombies who then fed on Scalphunter.
