History:

(Avengers 1959#4 (fb) - BTS) - Count von Blitzkrieg was a Nazi agent during World War II, presumably a mutate.

(Avengers 1959#5 (fb) - BTS) - Blitzkrieg was known to love women, but he treated them in a very sadistic way.

(Avengers 1959#5 (fb) - BTS) - In 1959 Count von Blitzkrieg joined Geoffrey Sydenham's organization Icon, who increased his lightning-based powers.

(Avengers 1959#4) - Tied to the bottom of Icon's airplane Blitzkrieg released a powerful electromagnetic pulse over Wakanda to cause a large blackout in the African nation. After Icon landed in Wakanda Blitzkrieg alongside DoctOrangutan, General Skul, Fritz Kron, Leopard Woman and Vunderknight were going to raid the nation and steal its advanced technology for Icon, but they ran into Nick Fury's 50s Avengers.

(Avengers 1959#5) - The Avengers of 1959 stopped Sydenham's Third Reich sympathizers. Despite their combined efforts Blitzkrieg and Vunderknight were knocked out by Namora.

Comments: Created by Howard Chaykin (writer/artist).

I wonder if Count von Blitzkrieg wasn't Baron von Blitzschlag after all. Baron is German for Count after all and changing his actual name to Blitzkrieg, a term made infamous by Nazi Germany's attack on Poland, wouldn't be that far fetched. Blitzschlag would also be a former Nazi operative active during the 1950s. And the Count worked together with Vunderknight, who was a creation of Baron von Blitzschlag.
