History:

(Avengers: The Initiative Annual#1/4 (fb) - BTS) - Wernher von Blitzschlag participated in the creation of Vunderknight, a mutated Nazi agent.

(Avengers 1959#5 (fb) - BTS) - Vunderknight was known to hate women.

(Avengers 1959#5 (fb) - BTS) - Vunderknight joined Geoffrey Sydenham's Icon organization.

(Avengers 1959#4) - Vunderknight landed in Wakanda alongside Count von Blitzkrieg, DoctOrangutan, General Skul, Fritz Kron and Leopard Woman to raid Wakanda and steal its advanced technology. They were opposed by the Avengers of 1959.

(Avengers 1959#5) - The Avengers stopped Sydenham's Third Reich sympathizers. Despite their combined efforts Blitzkrieg and Vunderknight were knocked unconscious by Namora.
