History: The early histories of Salt and Pepper are unknown.

(Green Goblin#8) - Angel Face, Salt, and Pepper dropped into the offices of Berinutter, a banker.  Tying him up, Angel Face quickly beat a password out of him.  While Pepper raided Berinutter's accounts, Salt and Angel Face helped themselves to the jewelry and Faberge eggs in his office.  Chancing upon an issue of Corporate News, Angel Face devised a plan to rob the subject of the cover story: Liz Osborn.  Angel Face, Salt, and Pepper tracked Liz down to her hotel room, where they took her, her son Normie, and Normie's nanny Mrs. Hastings hostage.  Liz was prepared to give up her passwords when the Green Goblin burst in.  Salt and Pepper opened fire on the Goblin, but were quickly incapacitated by his finger-blasters and pumpkin bombs.

(Green Goblin#11) - Somehow avoiding capture, Salt and Pepper joined Angel Face at her dockside base after her escape from a mental institution.  Salt arranged for a group of thugs to assemble there, and dissuaded her boss from wearing a mask.  Meanwhile, Pepper researched the Green Goblin, and found that most of the Daily Bugle's articles on him had been written by Ben Urich. After informing her that he'd lent them to fellow reporter Ken Ellis, Pepper asked Urich about the remote control in his pockets (actually the controller for his Goblin glider) and was dispatched by Angel Face to capture Ellis.  Returning with Ellis and Bugle intern Lynn Walsh, Pepper interrupted their interrogation to tell Angel Face that her gang was growing impatient.  Meanwhile, Salt, who had been assigned to fetch Urich, arrived just in time to see him plunge out the window to his apparent death.  Pepper was present during the Green Goblin's subsequent battle with Angel Face and her gang.

Comments: Created by Tom DeFalco, Darick Robertson, & Jeff Albrecht.

The dockside base blew up shortly thereafter, apparently taking Angel Face with it.  No word on whether Salt and/or Pepper managed to get out first.

Salt's the one-eyed blonde, Pepper's the brunette.

Profile by Minor Irritant.
