Powers/Abilities: Melissa Ramos is a skilled model and a devout Catholic. She does not possess superhuman powers beyond the ability to summon Satana.

    When Satana takes over their form, Melissa's body is transformed to match Satana's taller form.

    Satana can generate (presumably hell)fire that she can project to destroy reanimated corpses and presumably other beings.

    She can also generate another form of magical energy, which she used to blast Dracula and to surround herself with a giant energy cross, which she believed could be used to destroy Dracula.

    She may or may not possess superhuman strength and durability, and she possesses some skill in the martial arts, enabling her to deliver a kick to a foe's face.

    Satana is an experienced magic-user, and presumably only a fraction of her abilities have been demonstrated.

History:
(Supernaturals#3-4 (fb) - BTS) <13 years before the main story> - Daniel and Jericho Drumm were brothers who lived in the rural Louisiana bayou. Their father, Josiah, was taken captive and killed by a riotous mob believing he had killed their children in spite of charms he sold; Daniel was actually apparently responsible for the children's deaths. Their mother raced back into their burning house to save them, but she did not know that they had already escaped out a back window, and she ended up dying in the blaze.

(Supernaturals#1 (fb) - BTS / Supernaturals#4 (fb) - BTS) - Daniel Drumm convinced his younger brother Jericho that they could bring their mother back to life by a blood sacrifice.

    The ritual actually gave Daniel the chance to open a gateway to another dimension by sacrificing all the mutant and non-mystical heroes of Earth as Daniel stepped through the aperture himself.

    Jericho grew up believing his brother was killed in the ritual as many of the Earth's heroes vanished. However, Daniel instead went on to become Jack O'Lantern.

(Supernaturals#1 (fb) - BTS) - The mass disappearance of the heroes became known as the Chaos Event.

(Supernaturals#1 (fb) - BTS) - High school senior Maria Ramos led a life of conflict. A devout Catholic, Maria was also a successful fashion model in Miami. At some point, her body came to share the occult spirit of the "witch" known as Satana.

(Supernaturals#2 (fb) - BTS) - Maria apparently lost a loved one to dark forces.

(Supernaturals#1) - As she prayed for herself and other sinners now and at the time of their deaths, Maria's mother advised her that her cab was there. She rushed downstairs, telling her mother that she wasn't sure when she would be home, noting that the photo shoots always ran long but that she would call.

    As Nikoletta prepared Maria for her shoot at Wonderland Theme Park, Maria asked how late the male model was. Nikoletta advised Maria that while she didn't know, but since they were getting paid by the hour, it didn't really matter.
Accepting that, Maria nonetheless considered that it was not very professional. The male model, John Blaze, subsequently showed up, telling Maria, "Don't get your bikini in a bunch, chica, the man of your dreams has arrived."
