Mumblety Peg was a skilled swordswoman.
She may or may not have had any
superhuman abilities.
She ruled through fear and
intimidation, and she would readily slay someone who displeased her,
using such a victim as an example to maintain her dominance.
She carried a pair of daggers strapped
to her forearms, as well as a pair of swords/foils in scabbards at her
waist.
She utilized a trio of large and strong
enforcers, Derk, Pike and Shiv, although they relied on size and
strength and were not particularly skilled fighters.

Unlimited#7/2 (fb) - BTS) - Mumblety Peg was the undisputed crime queen
of Downtown's Gore Alley for at least seven and a half years. The mere
mention of her name spread throughout a crowd, and the market came to a
dead stop.
Jonas Finn bartered in Gore Alley's market under Mumblety Peg for at seven and a half years
(2099 Unlimited#7/2 (fb) - BTS) - The Midsummer Knights plotted to end Mumblety Peg's reign of terror.

Unlimited#7/2 - BTS) - As Puck announced a performance of the Midsummer
Knights, Pike or another of Peg's agents shoved him to the ground and told
him to get out of the way as Peg was coming through.
Word quickly spread through the
crowd, and the market came to a dead stop.

Unlimited#7/2) - Backed by Pike and presumably either Dirk or Shiv, Peg
confronted Jonas Finn, who was bartering flack vests that would stop any
bullet or knife. Finn offered her to take one on the house (free), but Meg
had Pike restrain Finn as she told him that such vests would make people
feel protected from her blades.
She demonstrated how she wanted other people to feel vulnerable by stabbing and apparently killing Finn, after which she shouted to the others present that Gore Alley was hers: "The market, the pavement, the buildings, the people, they sky! Mine!"
The crowd dispersed as Meg told them all to get out of there as they
sickened her, but Dirk alerted her to one of Puck's posters, which
advertised the grand opening of Gore Alley's Theatre with a special
performance that night. Appreciating this to be a new business in the
alley, she resolved about seeing about getting her cut. 
(2099 Unlimited#7/2 - BTS) - Hearing this, Puck told Bottom that Peg had taken the bait and asked what they should do now, and Bottom told Puck to assemble the cast.
(2099 Unlimited#7/2) - As the show prepared to start, Bottom welcomed Mistress Peg, introduced himself as the proprietor of this playhouse and noted that his theatre was honored by her presence.
Disrespecting Bottom as "Hose-Face" (the leader of the Midsummer Knights, Bottom wore a horse-head mask), Peg nonetheless noted that he had properly respected her, as most newcomers initially showed her attitude and that she had to slice it off.
Bottom had Puck show Peg and her
associates to their seats as the show was about to begin.
After she reached her seat, Peg asked Puck what they got out of the show.
After Puck told her "a warm, tingly feeling inside," Peg cursed him as a
fool and clarified that she meant the profit.
Puck assured her that many would profit from tonight's show but then told her the show was starting.
The show featured the mocking character Bumbelety Meg (played by Moth)
assaulting Finny John, causing an enraged response from Peg but laughter
from the crowd.
One of the Knights, possibly Cobweb, told Peg that she was not in the
audience but on the stage, a guest performer in the show.
The enraged Peg ordered Dirk, Pike and Shiv to attack the performers, but
Blossom, Puck and Mustard swiftly subdued them.
When Peg climbed up onto stage and
drew her sword/foil, Bottom claimed Moth's sword/foil and confronted Peg.
Although she insisted that no one mocked her, Bottom told her to get used
to it and that worse would come to pass.
Getting the better of Bottom, Peg stated that none was equal to her blade;
however, as Bottom acknowledged this but noted that that was why he
cheated, Puck and Blossom then grabbed her arms and took away her sword.
Bottom then told Peg that Gore Alley was no longer hers, and he ran her
through with his sword, apparently killing her.

The Midsummer Knights are obviously an homage to William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
It is unrevealed whether Mumblety
Peg had any superhuman powers. She may have used body paint or something,
or perhaps she was a mutant, a mutate of some sort, or an Inhuman,
Deviant, extraterrestrial, etc.

Mumblety-peg (also known as mumbley-peg, mumbly-peg, mumblepeg,
mumble-the-peg, mumbledepeg, mumble peg or mumble-de-peg) is an old
outdoor children's game played using pocketknives. The term "mumblety-peg"
came from the practice of putting a peg of about 2 to 3 in (5 to 8 cm)
into the ground. The loser of the game had to take it out with his teeth.
When the loser would go to remove the peg, it would sound as if he or she
was mumbling.
The game apparently originated in the British Isles in
the 17th Century.
