History:

(X-Men: Outback I#4 (fb) - BTS) - The mutant known only as Mirror Seer came to live among the Australian Morlocks, a band of mutants whose unconventional appearance made it impossible for them to be a part of human society.

(X-Men: Outback I#4 (fb) - BTS) - Mirror Seer's mutant abilities made him a vital part of the community. He created a massive mirage to make their sanctuary Never Never utterly undetectable. However, the illusions only extended to the air and surface.

(X-Men: Outback I#4 (fb) ) - Mirror Seer and the other Australian Morlocks were targeted by the Lava Men after their leader King Bassalo was led to believe that harvesting and refining mutant genes would strengthen them considerably. The Lava Men managed to bypass Mirror Seer's mirages by tunneling into the refuge from beneath the surface. They abducted the community and brought the captives to King Basallo's underground kingdom.

(X-Men: Outback I#4 (fb) - BTS) - Bushranger was the only member of the Morlocks who managed to escape, she brought in the X-Men to help her take on Basallo and free the settlement's residents.

(X-Men: Outback I#4) - Bushranger and the X-Men proved victorious over Basallo who agreed to release his captives. Mirror Seer had a brief, happy reunion with Bushranger who introduced him to Havok and Madelyne Pryor. He then witnessed how Bushranger and her longtime lover Buckland fell into each other's arms again. Mirror Seer was present when Bushranger promised that her people would preserve the secret that the X-Men were alive.

Comments: Created by Steve Orlando, Roi Mercado.

X-Men: Outback I#4 is set during the X-Men's time in Australia, before the events of Inferno. It's hard to tell if Bushranger or any of the other Australian Morlocks are still around after all this time, especially given the myriad M-Day style extinction events that have occurred since then.
