Powers/Abilities: Burst could project blasts of energy, which he could use to smash back even the superhumanly-swiftly-moving Quicksilver.

However, he could be easily distracted via stealthy maneuvers disguising imminent attacks.

He was apparently did not have superhuman durability.burst-mutate28-post-upper

As a Genoshan mutate, Burst was infertile, bonded to a skin-tight body suit and psychokinetically stripped of his free will and programmed to perform a specific task.
However, he exhibited a brash personality, and so this conditioning may have at least partially reversed.

I'm not sure what the metal pieces over his ears were; perhaps they protected his ears from some sonic/vibratory/concussive effect of his own power.

Height: Unrevealed (approximately 5'8")
Weight: Unrevealed (approximately 160 lbs.)
Eyes: Red (possibly solid white while using power)

History:

(Marvel Atlas: Genosha / Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z hardcover#4: Genosha) - Genoshan citizens were required to undergo genetic testing upon turning 13 years old, and those who tested positive with the mutant gene were forced to undergo a process created by the reality-displaced Sugar Man of Earth-295 (the "Age of Apocalypse"), based on the work of the evil geneticist Mr. Sinister (Nathaniel Essex), and implemented by David Moreau, the original Genegineer, which physically altered and psychokinetically conditioned them, stripping them of their free will and tailoring them to perform a specific task. Locked inside skin-bonded suits and rendered sterile, mutates were easily identified by a unique number and were considered state property.

(Quicksilver I#1 (fb) - BTS) - Burst was among a cadre of Genoshan mutates loyal to sent to Mount Wundagore by Fabian Cortez (under the direction of Exodus) to slay Quicksilver's daughter, Luna (whose human nature was considered blasphemous to them).

(Quicksilver I#1 (fb) - BTS) - While Pietro was away, grieving Crystal's apparent death, the Acolytes assaulted the Citadel of Science, seeking to slay the Knights and Luna as well as to acquire Isotope E to gain its power for Exodus.

(Quicksilver I#1 - BTS) - Bova sent a message to Quicksilver, summoning him back to the citadel.

(Quicksilver I#1 - BTS) - Astride Atomic Steeds as well as battling from the ground, the Knights fought the Acolytes. From within the Citadel, Sir Ram called to all Knights to send reinforcements when the Acolyte Scanner located the Evolutionary (and Luna) and directed others to follow her.

(Quicksilver I#1) - On Mount Wundagore, Burst appreciated Quicksilver's approach, noting that he was getting bored slaughtering animals. burst-mutate28-lg

After Burst blasted Quicksilver away, taunting him as a "beast-lover," Lord Gator approached him from behind, telling his "SSSSSHHH."

As Burst turned to see who was talking to him, Gator advised him that Bluster was not the true warrior's way and that bombast never won a battle.

Barely able to hear him, Burst asked who he was and what he was whispering about.

When Lord Gator advised him to be still, be calm and lure his enemy near, Burst failed to appreciate that that was exactly what Gator was doing, and he warned, "Enough of this! Burst will kill you, you --"

At which point, Gator punctuated his point by adding, "-- and strike!", which he did by biting into Burst's head and knocking him to the ground, as Burst screamed in agony. Appalled, Lady Ursula turned away.

While not explicitly shown, it appeared that Lord Gator may have devoured his face.
