History:
(Marvel Mystery Comics I#27/2 (fb) - BTS) - The Fox set up an elaborate fur-smuggling operation to run pelts in motorized torpedo-like canisters via a long underground river from southern Alaska to Seattle, thereby avoiding fur taxes normally collected via cargo ship arrivals. The Fox developed and built a small submarine to traverse the long underground canal and a large magnet to capture the canisters. He ruled over the local Alaskan pelt operation through fear from his ruthlessness and callous lackeys.
(Marvel Mystery
Comics I#27/2) - The Fox and his lieutenant "Red" Larson bullied the
owners of a silver fox farm before inspecting the pelts. Riding their
swish motorbike and sidecar, they followed the latest shipment into the
mountains where Fox's lackeys Ed, Mike and Weasel were readying the next
shipment of furs via torpedo canisters. The Fox took off in his
miniature sub to inspect the operations in Seattle. Meanwhile, the
heroic Sub-Mariner had stumbled across the smuggling operation and found
the torpedo canisters shooting along the underground river. The
suspicious hero spotted the Fox's sub and gave chase, ripping his way
into the hidden Seattle base once it arrived. The Fox and his henchman
Buck shot at Sub-Mariner, but the hero attacked Buck first, allowing the
Fox to escape in his mini-sub. Sub-Mariner chased the Fox as he rushed
back to Alaska. Back on land, the villain fled but was knocked down,
along with his lackeys there, by the pursuing Sub-Mariner. The hero then
called US Customs and told them of the fur tax evaders.

Fox's obedient yet dim-witted lieutenant. He chauffeured the Fox

went south in his miniature submarine to check on his smuggling
operation into Seattle. However, he was shocked when the Fox
returned with the heroic Sub-Mariner in dogged pursuit.
Sub-Mariner knocked down the Fox, Larson and another lackey,
then alerted the US Customs to the illegal operations.
